Luxury hotels in Prague

The riverbank comes first when I compare luxury hotels in Prague.

Four Seasons Hotel Prague

I’d choose Four Seasons for walking through the Old Town and coming back to dinner at CottoCrudo. If most of your plans are in Malá Strana, I’d look across the river.

Augustine Hotel Prague

After a day walking through Prague, I’d want to return to Augustine’s old monastery. You’re in Malá Strana; if the Old Town is where you want to spend your evenings, I’d stay across the river.

Fairmont Golden Prague

I’d come to the Fairmont for Czech art and an evening at Zlatá Praha above the city. For painted ceilings and bedrooms in a period palace, I’d look in Malá Strana.

Mandarin Oriental Prague

I’d choose a garden-facing room here and keep an hour for the spa in the old chapel. To step straight into the streets of the Old Town, I’d look across the river.

Which to choose

Four Seasons brings you back to the Old Town; Augustine to a monastery in Malá Strana. Then decide what you want outside the window and how much time you will leave for the spa. In Malá Strana, I would consider Augustine and Mandarin Oriental. On the opposite bank, Four Seasons and Fairmont offer 2 different returns to the hotel: a river-facing room, or time for Czech art, dinner and a swim.

Before booking

Which room would I ask for with children?

At Fairmont3, One Bedroom Suite With Sofa Bed accommodates up to 4; ask for the sofa to be made up for the children. At Augustine7, Moser has 2 bedrooms and a private kitchen, for up to 4. At Four Seasons9, River Suite separates the sitting room from the bedroom and accommodates 2 adults and one child; have the extra bed or cot confirmed. At Mandarin Oriental13, I would book Family Deluxe Garden View for 2 connecting rooms, stating everyone’s ages and the beds you need.

How much is a night in these Prague hotels?

For 14 December 2026, a night for 2 starts at CZK 6,417 at Fairmont14, CZK 6,937 at Augustine15, CZK 8,027 at Mandarin Oriental17 and CZK 17,296 at Four Seasons16. At Fairmont, 7 March 2027 costs CZK 7,224 and 14 June 2027 costs CZK 10,094. These are seller minima for one night searched on its own, for 2 adults, potentially with different rooms and terms. Confirm the room, meals, taxes and cancellation before paying; these figures do not establish what is included. Prices from Google Hotels, 3 November 2026.

What would I ask if the trip revolves around the spa?

At Fairmont1, the pool and saunas open from 7am to 10pm; agree children’s access for their ages if travelling as a family. At Mandarin Oriental11, settle your arrival time before booking the treatment: cancelling with less than 24 hours’ notice can cost the full amount.
