In Weggis, on the shore of Lake Lucerne: the turreted villa and the main building of Chenot Palace, among the palm trees.
I come to Chenot Palace for a week of detox on the Chenot Method, in a 5,000 m² medical spa. Entry, though, is only to follow a programme, and the detox one lasts at least 7 nights at 850 calories a day, with barley or chicory in place of coffee.

Your choices and answer, ready when you come back.

For 2, the Classic Room looks over the gardens and the Alps. For the lake in front of you, ask for the Panorama Lake View Classic, though it is only a little over half the size.
Check-in is from 3pm, on any day of the week. Day one is just the detox dinner: consultations and treatments start the next day, and departure day stays free as well.
By day, breakfast and lunch included, you wear the Chenot bathrobe and slippers left in your room; dinner is sport or smart casual. The restaurant, spa, medical areas, hammam, sauna and pool are phone-free zones.
Chenot Palace Weggis opened in June 2020; since 2019 Weggis has also been home to the Chenot Group, born of the method Henri Chenot first applied in Cannes in 1974. The rooms are split between a turn-of-the-century palace and a contemporary building, and a team of more than 100 specialists, from doctors to therapists, runs the programme.12

A guest who stayed 14 nights advises keeping to 7 and to the original programme: adding check-ups and treatments left the schedule too full, and most were cancelled. Free time went on the pool, the gym, the sauna and the library.
A guest spent a week here preparing for the Mont Blanc marathon, with almost 3 hours of sport a day, and never ran short of energy: just a little hunger on the morning of the third day, as forewarned.
A guest left 4 days early and says the ozone therapy, described as just another drip, in fact meant drawing blood, mixing it with ozone and putting it back, with no explanation beforehand.
