I come to THE VIEW to linger on the suite’s private balcony, looking over Lugano from the Paradiso hillside. The station is 3 km away, though, and transfers cost extra.

  1. Choose the sheets before arrival

    Before arriving, I would use My Page to choose linen sheets and a feather-free pillow. Cotton is an alternative, and the room fragrance can be chosen too.

  2. The Bistrot every day

    For lunch, I would settle into 350 Bistrot, open 7 days a week. TreCinqueZero Terrace also offers Champagne and wine tastings, as well as the house cocktails.

  3. Come just for the spa

    The spa also welcomes visitors staying elsewhere: daily entrance is CHF 60 Monday to Thursday and CHF 75 Friday to Sunday. I would choose a weekday for a break in the water.

THE VIEW Fine Dining

The Anima menu includes hay-smoked char and bagna cauda “bottoni” pasta; Cuore is the vegetarian menu. For a gourmet dinner, I would book Wednesday to Sunday, when the kitchen serves from 7pm to 10.30pm.123

THE VIEW SPA

The swimming pool is 18 metres long; the Vitality Pool has whirlpool features and water jets. Between the warm water and a rest, I would settle on a relaxation lounger.1

Good to know before you book

  • Residence apartments include reception with concierge, cleaning, 2 bottles of water, coffee pods, tea bags and access to the hotel spa, indoor pool and gym. Studios 101, 201 and 202 have garden views: choose a hotel suite for the lake view.1

  • Dogs are welcome and a dog kit can be requested. They cannot enter the restaurant or spa areas, which shapes where you can spend time together at the hotel.1

  • For weddings and private celebrations, spaces in the restaurant, pool area or TreCinqueZero Terrace can be reserved. The meeting rooms also have an outdoor terrace: I would choose the space to suit the time of day.1

Lugano Agno airport is 6 km away; Malpensa is around 60 minutes by car and Linate around 90 minutes. From the A2 Lugano Sud exit, follow the signs for Paradiso.12

Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 10.30am, in the restaurant or in the room. I would order it in the suite to start the day without going out.

The electric Smart has a range of around 90 km and can be requested for the whole stay. It would be my starting point for a trip beyond Lugano.

After a swim

A break at the Pool Bar

The Pool Bar serves smoothies, herbal teas and cold drinks. After a swim, I would pause over a herbal tea before returning to the room.

In the afternoon

The black soap ritual

Savonnage uses a Kessa glove and Moroccan black soap for exfoliation. The treatment lasts 100 minutes and costs CHF 310.

The night menu

Room service continues 24 hours a day, with a night menu from 10.30pm to 7.30am. If you return late, you can still eat in the suite.
