Like a regular

The glazed door at Fairmont Banff Springs, with the name on a brass plate
  1. The room to ask for

For 2 people, I would ask for a Deluxe Mountain View Room: 33 m² and a mountain outlook, with a choice of a king bed, a queen or 2 queen beds.

  2. The dates that cost less

    The 14–17 December 2026 run showed C$763–793 a night for 2 adults on 16 October 2026; 2 August 2027 reached C$4,021, the calendar’s dearest night.

  3. On top of the rate

Allow C$65 per day plus tax for the Resort Experience Fee, charged to the room account; covered self-parking adds C$39 per night, or C$59 for valet parking.

  4. Bicycles and bus passes

When available, borrow a bicycle for an hour at a time through the resort inclusions, or ask at the front desk for a ROAM transit pass before heading into Banff.

What Fairmont Banff Springs is

Stone arches and high ceilings lead through the lobby; the forest comes close to the walls outside. The public rooms, restaurants and Rundle Bar make this a hotel to explore indoors as well. A new 5,300 sq ft conference ballroom is scheduled to open in February 2027.

Choose the room before choosing the rate. Entry Fairmont Rooms are 20 m² and look across hotel buildings or grounds; Deluxe Rooms give you 33 m². Mountain View names the outlook. The Gatehouse has family rooms with bunks, while Fairmont Gold on floors 4–5 brings a lounge with hot breakfast and canapés.

The resort pools stay open year-round, from 6am to 10pm. Fairmont Spa has its own admission charge and minimum age: 18, with 3 hours costing C$129 per person for hotel guests. Golfers have 18 holes beside the Bow and a further 9 at Tunnel Mountain; skiing means travelling to Norquay, Sunshine Village or Lake Louise.
