Shangri-La Paris
The tower across the Seine, filling the window: the closest view of the 5.
Only the rooms with Eiffel in their name see it, and they cost about €1,000 a night more than a room of the same size: on 9 December, on Booking.com, €3,455 against €2,273 before VAT. The 16th is residential and quiet, a metro or taxi ride from the Marais.
Why choose it
From 10 avenue d’Iéna the tower stands 640 metres away in a straight line, on the other bank. The Eiffel View Room, 45 m², frames it in tall French windows; the Terrace Eiffel View Room, 55 m², puts a furnished terrace in front of it; the Paris Panoramic Signature Room adds the Seine and a glimpse from the bathroom; La Suite Gustave Eiffel wraps a corner terrace round it on the sixth floor. The Junior Suite Paris View gets a partial view, and the Superior and Deluxe rooms none, the rooms page says. On Booking.com the Eiffel View Room cost €2,545 on 17 November with a 20% autumn discount, €3,455 on 9 December and €3,273 on 13 January, before VAT and city tax. Of 1,124 Google reviews with text, 123 mention the tower: guests watch it sparkle from bed and dine in their room to keep it in sight. One guest in 2019 had only a partial view, and one in July 2026, in an Eiffel-view suite, heard a private party below the windows until 2am.
