SIGNIEL Seoul
In a Premier room at SIGNIEL Seoul, the city lights reach the bedside, beyond the bedroom’s large windows.
A week here, month by monthAt SIGNIEL, you’re booking time spent looking out too: I’d choose it for 2, with a whole evening kept for the hotel. You’re in Jamsil; for daily visits around Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon, a base in the historic centre is more convenient.
Book directIs it for you?
For a night for 2, I’d start with a Grand Deluxe and keep the difference for the evening. If a scenic bath matters, choose that option explicitly.
- I’d ask for
- A Grand Deluxe with your preferred outlook and bath option.
- Worth knowing
- Grand Deluxe rooms don’t offer twin beds or extra beds.

Book the view
In a Premier, a river view and scenic bath can each add KRW 60,500. Select the option in the rate: the general room name doesn’t promise the same window.
Bedding on ondol
In the Korean Suite, the extra sleeping arrangement is another Korean bedding set on the floor, for KRW 121,000 a night. If everyone needs a Western bed, choose a different arrangement before booking.
The day without a swim
The pool closes on the last Wednesday of each month. For a single night built around a swim with a view, that’s the date to avoid.

How we choose the hotelsThe 5 things that matter, as guests tell them
What do SIGNIEL Seoul’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Location
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it.
Room
8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it.
Staff and service
7 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it.
Breakfast
6 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it.
Price
5 in 10 guests who mention the price find it fair.
How we count

| Location | 8.8 | 98 | 89% |
| Room | 8.2 | 105 | 82% |

| Price | – | 24 | 50% |
184 guests said so on Google, from 19 May 2025 to 2 November 2026. Google reviews of the hotel, including visits to its bars and restaurants. Other hotels may cover different periods and numbers of reviews. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Seoul: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 4 November 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in Seoul:
Price: for 2, the night of 4 February 2027, from 566,280 KRW on Google Hotels on 3 November 2026.

I’d also look at 1 March 2027, with one night for 2 from KRW 653,400. On 7 September 2027, it costs KRW 804,640.

Four Seasons Hotel Seoul
I’d start here for a first Seoul of royal palaces, Bukchon and a Charles H. cocktail after dinner. If you’re returning mainly for Gangnam and spending your evenings south of the river, I’d choose an address on that side.

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur
With the children, I’d stay here for a few days: the park is next door, and the afternoon can continue in the outdoor pool. If your trip revolves around Bukit Bintang’s restaurants and nightlife, look for a base in that neighbourhood.

Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur
At Grand Hyatt, keep an afternoon for the pool and dinner facing the towers, without leaving the hotel. I’d come for a stay with long pauses; if you want the metro immediately outside, the stations take a walk to reach.

Four Seasons Hotel Prague
I’d choose Four Seasons for walking through the Old Town and coming back to dinner at CottoCrudo. If most of your plans are in Malá Strana, I’d look across the river.

Augustine Hotel Prague
After a day walking through Prague, I’d want to return to Augustine’s old monastery. You’re in Malá Strana; if the Old Town is where you want to spend your evenings, I’d stay across the river.

Fairmont Peace Hotel
The Old Jazz Band in the evening and the Bund outside in the morning: that’s why I’d come to the Peace. For a trip centred on Lujiazui’s offices, I’d stay in Pudong.

Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund
For a suite in the old Shanghai Club and an evening at the Long Bar, I’d choose the Waldorf. With a diary full of meetings in Lujiazui, I’d stay over in Pudong.

Portrait Milano
A piazza open to Milan, then the former seminary’s loggias and the room you choose for quiet.

Palazzo Parigi
A theatrical staircase in Brera, a hidden garden and a room view you choose for yourself.

Ca’ di Dio
From the Castello waterfront into a sheltered court, with the Arsenale on foot and San Giorgio at dinner.

Excelsior Hotel Gallia
Arrive at Milano Centrale, then see the station from above after a swim beneath the skylight.

The Dolder Grand
Curhaus towers above Zurich, art in the corridors and warm water facing the city.
