I would arrive at the Flüela by train to ski Parsenn: the station is opposite, and the lift is 300 metres away. From 6pm, Soul Spa is reserved for guests aged 16 and above; with younger children, I would plan the afternoon around that.

Is it for you?

As a couple, I would pause in the outdoor whirlpool before coming in from the cold.

Like a regular

  1. The Davos shuttle

The free shuttle runs around Davos Dorf and Davos Platz daily from 7am to 10pm. There can be waits in high season: for an appointment, I would leave some extra time.

  2. The piano at Bar 1868

Bar 1868 has a fireplace and live piano music. At Christmas, New Year and in February it opens nightly from 6pm to 1am; in the remaining opening months, Friday–Sunday at the same times.

  3. The table with its own entrance

Stübli’s Private Dining Room has its own entrance and seats up to 10 people. For an evening with friends, I would choose fondue or a multi-course dinner here.

What the Flüela is

The Flüela is a 5-star hotel with 51 rooms and suites, in a house that opened in 1868 in Davos Dorf. It belongs to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. In the lounges, timber panelling and vaulted ceilings meet green seating and a floor with a large star.12

Lumina Guide 2027

We choose the hotels of this guide ourselves, one at a time: no one pays to be in it.

How we choose the hotels

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do Hotel Flüela Davos’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

One traveller finds arriving by train convenient; another likes being near the lifts but describes a shuttle that did not arrive.

  2. Room

One guest describes a quiet, well-kept room. Another 2 find the rooms overheated; one could not adjust the heating.

  3. Staff and service

8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. One guest says the team anticipated their needs. Another finds the welcome cold; a third describes billing errors and a ski-storage mix-up.

  4. Breakfast

One guest remembers a fresh, varied breakfast. Another would have liked clearer answers about the fillings’ ingredients.

  5. Price

Value for the room bill does not emerge as a separate theme.

40 guests said so on Google, from 9 November 2024 to 21 April 2026. The other hotels are assessed on the same 5 themes. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in Davos:

Price: for 2, the night of 15 December 2026, from 326 CHF on Google Hotels on 3 November 2026.

Stübli – Ustaria 1942 serves Swiss dishes with international influences amid timber-panelled walls. Dinner runs daily from 6.30pm to 10pm, with a children’s menu too.1

Loungers beneath the relaxation room’s rippled ceiling

Out of the water

Soul Spa has a Finnish sauna, a gentle sauna, a steam bath and a salt-steam bath. Between sessions, I would settle in the relaxation room, on a lounger.1

The pool after skiing

A father says that, on the sixth night of a second stay, the family was asked to leave the pool at 4pm. The account dated 26 December 2025 concerns how the rule was communicated; current hours are those in the Soul Spa conditions.
