The Bergoase’s glass sails glow among the snow in Arosa.
A week here, month by monthI would come to the Tschuggen to make skiing and wellness the 2 halves of a holiday. For a small house in the village centre, I would look elsewhere.
Book direct The hotel websiteFor 2, I would look at the One Bedroom Mountain Suite, with a private sauna, rain shower and relaxation area.

Lumina Guide 2027
We choose the hotels of this guide ourselves, one at a time: no one pays to be in it.
Distinctions
What do Tschuggen Grand Hotel’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Nearly every guest who mentions it is happy with it. One guest likes the location for walks between mountain huts; another describes a 20-minute walk to the centre and a free shuttle.
One guest finds the bedroom clean and well equipped, with a slightly dated style. Another describes a hard mattress and hot nights.
8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. One guest remembers yoga classes and the spa’s cleanliness; an outside visitor describes incomplete telephone information about entry prices.
One guest remembers regional food and à la carte dishes on the terrace; another would have preferred different orange juice.
One guest finds extras expensive; another feels that the cooking could offer more at the price.
| What | Guests’ score | Guests who mention it | Happy |

| Location | 8.9 | 27 | 96% |
| Room | 7.8 | 18 | 83% |
| Staff and service | 7.9 | 58 | 79% |
| Breakfast | 7.7 | 16 | 88% |

65 guests said so on Google, from 24 November 2024 to 25 August 2026. Includes meals and visits without an overnight stay. The other hotels are assessed on the same 5 themes. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
