  1. The estate’s rice

    At the table, I would look for the estate’s Loto rice. Dry cultivation began with experiments in the 1990s; today the harvest yields risotto rice alongside other produce from the fields and gardens.

  2. A week booked together

    For 17–24 May 2027, prices start at CHF 705 per night for 2 adults when all 7 nights are booked together. Room category, meals and taxes are unspecified; I would ask for the complete quote before confirming.

  3. Children beside the lake

    Between the pool, playground and beach, I would be clear about who is watching the children. The hotel’s conditions place responsibility for their safety on parents or the appointed adult throughout the resort, including the raft area giving access to the lake.

The heated 8 × 25-metre pool connects indoors and outdoors, with water listed at 28°C. The 2,500 m² Spa includes saunas, a steam bath, Kneipp facilities and a hydropool.1

Yes. Children may use the pool from 10:00 to 18:00 with an adult; saunas, steam bath and hydropool are for ages 16 and over. These are the 2026 Spa brochure’s conditions; confirm them for the 2027 season before planning family pool times.1 The 2026 brochure also lists pool and fitness hours of 07:00–20:00, sauna area 09:00–19:30 and treatments 09:00–19:00. Starting the sauna and steam bath at your preferred time requires prior arrangement, around 30 minutes ahead. Reconfirm these hours for 2027 too.1

What is there to do at Castello del Sole Beach Resort&SPA?

Alongside the beach and Spa, there are tennis, water activities and estate experiences, some charged and requiring booking. Outside guests must book Spa access: 4 hours from CHF 95 per person, or 8 hours from CHF 130; meals and fuller packages have separate rates.12
