Paris with children: a room for you, a room for them

For connecting rooms in Paris I would start with Le Meurice; with young children I would ask The Peninsula too. Get a quote for the whole family: a half-price second room does not halve the cost of the stay.

10 addresses and the rooms to ask for

Palaces and grand hotels in the guide, with the Ritz alongside: the reductions apply to the second room, and each pair has its own terms.

Deluxe Room · room-card

Le Meurice

For 2 rooms with a guaranteed connecting door: this is where I would ask for the family’s first quote.

The trade-off

Have your children’s ages accepted: the offer starts with under-12s, while its terms allow children aged 18 and under.

Why choose it

Family Time1 takes 50% off the second room and includes American breakfast. 2 connecting Deluxe Rooms start at €2,945 a night for both; an Executive Room with a second bedroom at €3,115, a Deluxe Suite with a second bedroom at €5,075. Tax and service are included; city tax of €15.93 per person per night comes on top. Valid until 31 December 2026, subject to availability and blackout dates.

premier-room

The Peninsula Paris

For a specific pair of rooms, with breakfast for the family and access to the pool.

The trade-off

Children must be under 12, with at most 2 per room. Get a written total per night before comparing it with Le Meurice.

Why choose it

Family Moments2 gives 50% off the connecting room. The pairs are Premier with Premier, Junior Suite with Junior Suite, Superior Suite with Deluxe, Deluxe Suite with Premier, and Grand Premier Suite with Deluxe. Book by email or telephone; blackout dates may apply and city tax comes on top. Have VAT and service specified in the quote.

Deluxe Room

Hôtel Plaza Athénée

For a family wanting guaranteed connecting rooms and breakfast already in the bill.

The trade-off

Here too the opening age limit is under 12 and the terms extend to 18 and under: send the children’s ages before booking.

Why choose it

Family Time3 includes the second room at 50%: 2 Deluxe Rooms from €3,250 a night in total, a Deluxe Junior Suite with a second bedroom from €4,600, a Superior Suite with a second bedroom from €5,100. Tax and service are included, with city tax of €15.93 per person per night extra. The offer ends on 31 December 2026, with availability, blackout dates and category exclusions: ask which connecting pair qualifies for your dates.

junior-suite-with-garden-view

Le Bristol Paris

For a Junior Suite and a second room facing the garden, sold together for the family.

The trade-off

The connecting-room reduction is up to 50%; the stay needs at least 2 nights, for 2 adults and 2 children up to 12.

Why choose it

Family Spirit4 includes American breakfast. For 17–19 November 20265, with children aged 8 and 11, the Family Junior Suite Garden was €4,600 on average per night: a Junior Suite plus a Deluxe Garden Room, 100 m² in total. VAT included; city tax per adult per night is extra. Ask for the separate rate for the same 2 rooms to measure the saving on your dates.

family-junior-suite

Shangri-La Paris

For a family suite already made up of 2 connecting rooms.

The trade-off

Family Retreat runs from 12 January to 31 December 2026. Compare the final suite price: the maximum reduction is no promise for every night.

Why choose it

The Connecting Family Junior Suite7 joins a Junior Suite to a Deluxe Room. Family Retreat6 includes this category or the Eiffel View Family Suite, up to 60% off the connecting room and breakfast. Its terms include VAT, service and city tax of €15.93 per adult per night. Ask for the euro price for both rooms together on your dates.

A sitting room with a blue rug, fireplace and round table

Four Seasons Hotel George V

For a 2-bedroom suite and a family-rate quote to compare with it.

The trade-off

The 30% reduction applies to the second room: confirm which connecting pair qualifies for the offer.

Why choose it

Precious Little Moments8 adds breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children and is booked by telephone. It covers selected dates from 5 November 2026 to 31 December 2029, for 1–9 nights. The Eiffel Parisian Suite9 can have 2 connecting bedrooms for 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children, totalling 230 m². Ask for both prices, with and without the offer, including tax and service.

Prestige Room

La Réserve Paris

For a family of 4 wanting 2 ordinary rooms before considering a large suite.

The trade-off

Ask for an internal door: some combinations are linked by a shared hallway.

Why choose it

The Prestige Room and Premier Room10 pair takes up to 4 guests in 85 m²; a Prestige Junior Suite with a Premier Room takes up to 5 in 95 m². Book through the hotel. Ask for the pair and the same rooms priced separately, with matching breakfast, tax and cancellation terms: that is the useful comparison.

A sitting room with sofas, a round table and windows

Cheval Blanc Paris

For a suite overlooking the Seine with a second bedroom for the children.

The trade-off

The Seine Suite alone takes 3 guests: for a family of 4, have the connecting room included in the quote.

Why choose it

The Seine Suite11, 105 m², can connect to a Deluxe Room. It has a living and dining area separate from the bedroom. I would ask for the total for this pair and for the same accommodation booked separately, confirming the Deluxe Room’s guest limit and the connecting door.

Premier Family Suite

Hôtel de Crillon

For a Family Suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The trade-off

Ask for the plan of the combination: I would have the door between the spaces marked and the bill made out for every guest before booking.

Why choose it

The Deluxe Family Suite12 combines a Premier Room and a Deluxe Suite; the Premier Family Suite joins a Junior Suite and a Premier Suite. The Deluxe page13 describes 2 king bedrooms, 2 living rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rates are in euros per room per night, include 10% VAT and add city tax of €15.93 per adult per night. Request a family price and one for the 2 units separately.

deluxe-room

Ritz Paris

For place Vendôme and a request for a connecting Deluxe Room when you book.

The trade-off

Have the room pair and the door confirmed before paying, and send your children’s ages with the quote request.

Why choose it

The Ritz14 offers connecting rooms on request at booking, with the Deluxe Room among the possibilities. Alternatively, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Suite has 2 bedrooms; the Deluxe Suite is suggested for a couple with 2 young children. Ask for the connecting pair and the suite on the same dates, with matching meals and cancellation terms.

Hotel rates, 5 November 2026. Published starting prices do not confirm availability for a particular stay. The dated Bristol price covers 17–19 November 2026, 2 adults and children aged 8 and 11.

I would choose the door before the hotel

The price matters once you know where everyone will sleep.

  • Ask for a plan marking both rooms and written confirmation of the internal door. With young children, I would settle that before arrival.

  • Send the children’s ages in the first message and confirm the beds and guest limit in both rooms. A room next door is useful only if it can sleep the people you are booking it for.

  • For a price comparison, request 2 quotes for the same rooms: family rate and rooms bought separately, with matching dates, breakfast and cancellation. A lower price for a different room cannot prove the saving.

What I would send reservations

Send the same questions to each hotel so the replies can be compared.

“We are 2 adults and 2 children of these ages, travelling on these dates. We would like 2 rooms with a confirmed internal connecting door. Please specify the categories, beds and total stay price, with breakfast, tax, service and cancellation terms.”

“For the same 2 rooms, what would we pay on the family rate and if we bought them separately? Is the connecting door guaranteed with both rates?” I would ask for both totals in the same reply.

Questions before booking

The door, the bill and where the children sleep.

When is the second room added at Le Meurice?

With Family Time1 it is added automatically to the booking after completing the online booking. Ask for both rooms and the total in the confirmation.

Is the second room in a suite offer another suite?

At Le Meurice1 and Plaza Athénée3, the suite offer adds a connecting room. The second unit is a room, so ask for its category.

Can I combine the family offer with another promotion?

The Peninsula’s Family Moments2 cannot be combined with other programmes or promotions. Family Time at Le Meurice1 and Plaza Athénée3 also excludes other offers: ask the hotel which total works best for your dates.
