The reef, 5 minutes out
The hotel’s boat leaves the beach at 10am, 11.15am and 2pm for a reef inside the marine park, where the water is 2 to 12 feet deep, about 0.6 to 3.7 metres. The trips are free and need booking 60 minutes ahead.
Amanyara, pavilions and villas above an 800-metre beach in a marine park, at Northwest Point, Providenciales, in the Turks and Caicos, 25 minutes by car from the airport
A week here, month by monthAmanyara suits couples who want privacy and time to stay put, from $3,264 for one night for 2 adults, the lowest any seller showed on Google Hotels. For restaurants on the doorstep, I would choose a different base.
Official siteWould you go?
Keep it among your hotels and see it on the budget globe, month by month.
For 2, I would ask for an Ocean Pavilion: 65 m² along the coastline, with a wooden sun deck facing the water and a free-standing bath inside.
On 13 October 2026, Google showed nights from $2,970 to $5,005 for 4–10 April 2027, against $6,528 to $8,448 for 19–25 December 2026; each is one night searched separately for 2 adults.
Spa and wellness services carry 28% in government taxes and service fees. Cancel a treatment within 12 hours and the full treatment charge is due.
Leave room in the suitcase: the Clubhouse lends rackets, balls and shoes free of charge, with 4 floodlit Har-Tru tennis courts available for a game after dark.
Amanyara opened in 2006 on Northwest Point, the wild western tip of Providenciales, beside North West Point Marine National Park. Aman’s site credits the design to Jean-Michel Gathy: glass-walled pavilions under shingle roofs, set among black ponds and coastal scrub so that no neighbour is in view. The beach runs for 800 metres; the bar, a round timber hall over a reflecting pond, is the centre of the place.
People come for the sea and the space. Kayaks, paddleboards, Hobie Cats and a daily snorkel boat to the reef are in the rate, along with breakfast, afternoon tea, classes and a Clubhouse with 4 clay tennis courts and 3 padel courts. The children’s centre takes guests from 5, and the villas come with a host and a private chef.
Amanyara is a resort you stay put in: anyone who wants restaurants and bars on the doorstep will be happier elsewhere on the island. Grace Bay’s restaurants are 35 minutes away along a road guests call rough; the room rate carries 28% of taxes and fees, and lunch and dinner come on top. Reviews of 2025 and 2026 praise the beach and the privacy of the pavilions, and mosquitoes and other insects come up in them more than once. The works of autumn 2026 are announced without detail: what they change will show only after the reopening.
Lumina Guide 2027
Amanyara is Aman’s Caribbean resort: glass-walled pavilions by Jean-Michel Gathy above an 800-metre beach in a marine park, at the empty end of Providenciales.
How we choose the hotelsWhat we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.
800 metres of beach inside a marine park, on an 18,000-acre reserve; Grace Bay is 35 minutes away by car.
Glass pavilions under shingle roofs, among black ponds and scrub, by the architect of several Amans.
Pavilions of 65 or 79 m² with terraces on 3 sides; 4 types have a private pool.
An Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean beach club and a bar: 3 places in all, worth knowing for a long stay.
A spa of 4 treatment pavilions, 4 clay courts, 3 padel courts, Pilates and boxing studios, a gym open 24 hours.
From $2,163 a night for 2 with taxes on the official calendar; lunch, dinner and transfers extra.
What do Amanyara’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests describe the white beach, the turquoise water, the quiet and the feeling of having the resort to themselves.
6 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests remember the pavilions for their space, their privacy and the private pool, and the villas for their host and chef.
6 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests write of the villas’ hosts and chefs, the snorkelling boat to the reef and staff who remember names.
Breakfast is included in every rate: The Restaurant serves it from 7am to 11am, in the courtyard, on the terrace over the pond or in the air-conditioned dining room.
For guests glad of what they spent, Amanyara is worth every penny for its privacy and its beach.

The scores come from 209 Google reviews with text, left from 1 February 2013 to 20 August 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Turks and Caicos: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 8 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in the Turks and Caicos:
Price: for two on the night of 6 April 2027, from $3,264 (seen on Google Hotels on 13 October 2026).
A reef reached by the hotel’s boat, a beach club on a dune, a spa over a pond, clay courts and a children’s centre.

The hotel’s boat leaves the beach at 10am, 11.15am and 2pm for a reef inside the marine park, where the water is 2 to 12 feet deep, about 0.6 to 3.7 metres. The trips are free and need booking 60 minutes ahead.

The Restaurant serves breakfast, then sushi and curries at dinner; the Beach Club grills fish and bakes pizza on a dune above the sand; the Bar pours from a library of more than 60 rums and serves afternoon tea.

4 double treatment pavilions, a yoga sala, a relaxation pavilion and a pool with sun loungers, open from 9am to 8pm. Cold-plunge sessions are on the menu; a sauna and a steam room are missing from the spa’s list of facilities.

4 floodlit Har-Tru clay courts, 3 floodlit padel courts, pickleball, a football pitch, Pilates and boxing studios, billiards and shuffleboard. Rackets, balls and shoes are lent free, and certified coaches give clinics and private lessons.

The Nature Discovery Centre runs programmes for children aged 5 and over, with a pool and a playground of its own; from November to May its counsellors come from The Laurel Camps. A cinema shows family films in the evening.
The resort is closed until 1 November 2026 for what Aman’s site calls «a series of thoughtful enhancements», without saying which. On its booking calendar and on Google Hotels, both read on 8 October 2026, the first night on sale was 16 November.
The booking engine adds 28% to the room rate: 12% government tax, 10% service charge and a 6% facility fee. Its calendar and Google Hotels show the nightly amount with all 3; the spa menu applies the same 28%.
Breakfast is in the rate, with afternoon tea and soft drinks in the room. Lunch and dinner are charged, in the restaurants and in the villas alike, and the menus on Aman’s site print no prices.
The resort stands alone: the airport is 25 minutes away and Grace Bay 35, by a private road through the reserve that 3 Google reviews, between July 2024 and June 2026, describe as bumpy and potholed.
Between January 2025 and July 2026, 6 Google reviews describe mosquitoes and other insects, and one of May 2025 says it met almost none: the pavilions sit among ponds and coastal scrub.
Only part of the shore is sand. The Ocean Pool Pavilions and Ocean Villas stand on ironshore, sharp rock where Aman’s own page advises against entering the sea; the Beach Club and its loungers are up to 7 minutes away by buggy from the villas.
Between July 2025 and July 2026, 5 Google reviews describe rooms, villas or linen showing their age. The resort opened in 2006, and Aman has not said whether the works of autumn 2026 touch the pavilions.

6 stays described on Google between May 2025 and August 2026, before the closure.

In July 2026 a couple on honeymoon praised the privacy, the architecture and the clear water, and named the free snorkelling as a highlight, with a Caribbean Night dinner with live music and breakfast each morning.

The questions people ask before booking Amanyara, answered from sources read on 8 October 2026.
An Aman beach resort of standalone pavilions and villas on Northwest Point, Providenciales, in the Turks and Caicos Islands, on the edge of an 18,000-acre nature reserve and facing North West Point Marine National Park, according to the official site. It opened in 2006: the Clubhouse page dates its 15th anniversary to 2021. The architect is Jean-Michel Gathy.
Aman’s pages give no count of rooms. The MICHELIN Guide, which awards the hotel One Key, lists 36; Tripadvisor lists 56. Google classes it as a 5-star hotel. One honeymoon site files it as an adults-only resort, which it is by no official account: Aman calls it «a retreat for all ages».
9 kinds, on the official pavilions page. The Tranquility, Ocean, Pool, Ocean Cove and Ocean Pool Pavilions measure 65 m²; the Alcove, Alcove Pool and Amanyara Pavilions 79 m²; the Two-Bedroom Pool Pavilion Suite 263 m². Each is a single glass-walled room with a king bed, a living area, a free-standing tub, a rain shower and shaded terraces on 3 sides.
4 have a private pool: the Pool Pavilion, the Alcove Pool Pavilion with 9 by 9 metres, the Ocean Pool Pavilion with 10 by 3.6, and the Amanyara Pavilion; so has the 2-bedroom suite. A Deluxe Pool Pavilion page is still online but missing from the index, and it books under the Alcove Pool Pavilion’s code. Aman has not said whether the autumn works touch the pavilions.
11 villa types of 3 to 6 bedrooms, from 980 to 1,686 m², are listed on the villas page. Each is a group of bedroom pavilions round a volcanic-stone infinity pool and a central living pavilion, with a villa host and a private chef. Breakfast is included; lunch and dinner are cooked on request and charged, and kitchens are not stocked in advance, the villas’ own questions and answers say.
On the official booking engine, read on 8 October 2026 for the night of 17 November 2026, the Three-Bedroom Tranquility Villa cost $12,620 before taxes, $16,154 with them, and The Artists Villa $22,640, or $28,979. On 21 November the Artists Villa was the only accommodation left on sale. The Ultimate Discovery offer adds all meals to villa stays of 3 nights.
At Northwest Point, Providenciales, TKCA 1ZZ, on the island’s west coast; Google places it in Wheeland Settlement, the nearest village, 7 km away by road. The resort is reached by one private road through the reserve and has no neighbours, as the official page describes.
By road, calculated on OpenStreetMap on 8 October 2026: the airport 14 km, Blue Hills 11 km, Turtle Cove Marina 16 km, Grace Bay 21 km, the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club 24 km and Long Bay Beach 25 km. Google shows no public transport nearby and little to do in the surroundings: the days are spent in the resort or on a boat.
By car from Providenciales International Airport (PLS): a 25-minute drive, says the «Getting here» page, and 14 km on OpenStreetMap’s roads. The concierge arranges the resort’s own fleet of Mercedes SUVs, and cars can meet private jets at the airport’s FBOs.
The transfer is charged: the list of what every stay includes leaves it out. The MICHELIN Guide’s listing quotes return transfers from $125 for up to 4 guests, and Google marks the airport shuttle as an extra. Aman’s page lists direct flights from New York, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale and Toronto.
Google, Tripadvisor and the MICHELIN Guide all list free parking, and Google adds that it is self-parking. Aman’s own pages say nothing about parking or hiring a car.
Few guests drive: Providenciales is reached by air, and the resort lies at the end of a private road. Inside the grounds people move by bicycle or by golf cart, which staff drive on request, a guest wrote in June 2026; villas and the 2-bedroom suite have a buggy of their own.
The resort has 800 metres of white sand, which the events page also calls Malcolm’s Beach; the home page says half a mile and Tripadvisor’s description 1 km. Aman writes of a «private shore». Loungers stand by the Beach Club, and kayaks, paddleboards and Hobie Cats are free to use, according to the ocean adventures page.
The reef is a 5-minute boat ride out, inside the marine park; the free snorkel trips run at 10am, 11.15am and 2pm, and private ones take up to 6 guests, the experience guide says. Away from the sand the coast is ironshore: the Ocean Villa page advises against entering the sea there, because the tides change quickly. Diving is run with Big Blue Collective.
The main pool lies beside the Bar, on a terrace that looks over the ocean, with lounging beds round it, as the Bar’s page describes; Aman publishes no measurements. The spa has a pool of its own lined with sun loungers, and the children’s centre a children’s pool, according to the spa menu and the experience guide.
The private pools are where most swimming happens: 4 pavilion types and the 2-bedroom suite have one, and every villa has an infinity pool of volcanic stone, the Five-Bedroom Serenity Villa 2. Google lists a wading pool as well.
Aman’s pages give no temperature and no season for any pool. The one account comes from a guest who stayed in a villa in May 2026 and wrote on Google that staff asked at once how warm the party wanted their pool, which suggests the villas’ pools can be heated.
The climate does much of the work: the islands’ tourist board gives average air temperatures of 27 to 29°C from November to May and 29 to 32°C from June to October. The pools follow the resort’s calendar, which was closed to bookings until 16 November 2026 when we read it.
In 3 places, set out on the dining page. The Restaurant serves breakfast from 7am to 11am and an Asian dinner from 6pm to 10pm: sushi and sashimi, Thai curries, miso black cod, Japanese wagyu. The Beach Club, on a dune at the southern end of the beach, serves Mediterranean lunches from noon to 4pm and dinner from 6pm to 10pm, with a wood oven for pizza.
The Bar is open from 9am to 10pm, with Latin-Caribbean snacks, afternoon tea and a library of more than 60 rums from 12 countries. The Restaurant is for resident guests only, while the Beach Club also takes outside guests. Private dining runs from 7am to 10pm according to the website; the experience guide speaks of 24-hour room service. For a long stay that makes 3 places in all, with Grace Bay’s restaurants 35 minutes away.
Every stay includes breakfast, a bottle of Champagne on arrival, soft drinks and refreshments in the room, afternoon tea at the Bar, the scheduled wellness classes, the gym, the Clubhouse and its courts, a daily snorkelling trip and all non-motorised watersports, according to the accommodation page.
Aman sells no half board or full board for the pavilions; meals are ordered from menus that carry no prices on the site. The one package with all meals is Ultimate Discovery, for villa stays of 3 nights, drinks excluded. Offer terms add $270 a day for a third adult from age 12 and $45 for a child of 4 to 11, with children under 4 free; the MICHELIN Guide’s listing says children up to 11 pay no room charge.
The Aman Spa overlooks a reflecting pond: 4 double treatment pavilions, a wellness studio, a yoga sala, relaxation areas, a boutique and a pool lined with sun loungers, in the words of the spa menu. No floor area is published. The fitness centre has Technogym equipment, and a Pilates studio and a boxing studio stand at the Clubhouse.
Neither the menu nor the wellness page lists a sauna, a steam room or a hammam among the spa’s facilities. Cold plunges are offered as treatments, a guided 60-minute session and a full-day recovery ritual. Steam is found in the Six-Bedroom Amanyara Villa, and a cold plunge pool in The Artists Villa.
For resident guests the wellness facilities are part of the rate: the fitness centre, the Clubhouse, the tennis, padel and pickleball courts and the daily scheduled classes, as the accommodation page lists them. Treatments, private sessions and lessons are charged, with 28% of taxes and service fees.
No official page offers a day pass to the spa, the pool or the beach. What Aman does open to people staying elsewhere is the Beach Club restaurant, by reservation: one visitor in August 2026 came for lunch only. The minimum age for a treatment is 16, with a parent’s consent below that, and the one-day immersions are closed to guests of 16 and under.
The spa is open daily from 9am to 8pm, the hour at which the last treatment ends, and the fitness centre around the clock, according to the spa menu. It asks guests to book ahead, to arrive 15 minutes early and to cancel at least 12 hours before, or pay in full.
Treatments outside those hours and massages in the room carry a surcharge. The one-day wellness immersion must be requested 14 days before arrival, and the Celebrate at Amanyara offer advises reserving its couple’s massage 7 to 14 days ahead.
The menu follows Aman’s 3 paths, Grounding, Purifying and Nourishing, each with a facial, a massage, a body polish and wrap, and a journey of 180 minutes that combines them. Amanyara’s own list adds a signature massage of 90 minutes, Thai and 4-hand massages, hot and cold stone therapy, reflexology, a massage for mothers-to-be, sun rituals with coconut oil and the Aman Advanced Facial.
It prints durations but no prices, and states that every spa and wellness service is subject to 28% of government taxes and service fees.
Yes: Aman describes it as a retreat for all ages. The Nature Discovery Centre runs activities for children from 5, from nature walks and junior chef classes to sports at the Clubhouse, with a children’s pool and a playground; between November and May the programme is led with The Laurel Camps. There is a cinema, and yoga and Pilates classes for the young.
Swimming lessons start at 3 months and the guided snorkel trips at 12, the experience guide says. Google and the MICHELIN Guide list babysitting. Rooms for 3 are the Alcove and Alcove Pool Pavilions; villas take cots and rollaway beds, and barriers for ponds and pools can be fitted with notice. For the pavilions, the site does not publish whether a cot can be added.
A Clubhouse with 4 Har-Tru tennis courts and 3 padel courts, all floodlit, pickleball, basketball, a football pitch, beach volleyball, billiards, shuffleboard and table tennis; a boutique; a screening room of 30 seats; bicycles, trails for walking and riding, and boats for diving, fishing and cruising booked through the concierge. Wi-Fi is free.
On dogs the sources split. Google marks pets and dogs as allowed and the MICHELIN Guide calls the hotel pet friendly, but no Aman page mentions animals or a fee. No dress code is published for the restaurants either, and the booking engine leaves its pet-policy field empty.
7 on the offers page read on 8 October 2026. Advance Reservation: a lower rate for stays of 1 to 3 nights booked 14 days ahead, prepaid and non-refundable, until 16 December 2027. Extend Your Stay: the fourth night free, pavilions only, the Amanyara Pavilion excluded. Celebrate at Amanyara: 3 nights with a dinner by the ocean and a couple’s massage, until 20 December 2026.
For villas: Villa Advance Reservation from 4 nights, Villa Retreat with every fourth night free, and Ultimate Discovery with all meals and every fifth night free, until 19 December 2027. Journey Across the Americas, which links Aman’s hotels in the region, ends on 31 October 2026. Blackout dates apply to most.
Yes. Couples can exchange vows on the beach, beside a pond or above a cove, and weddings of up to 70 guests can be held in a villa, according to the events page. The Restaurant seats 120; the Bar takes 100 for drinks or 60 for a seated dinner; the screening room has 30 seats for meetings.
The villas’ groups page speaks of receptions for up to 100 in a villa, and the whole resort can be taken for a buyout. No price is published for any of it: Aman sends a proposal on request. The beach suits a barbecue or a party with fireworks, its page adds.
Yes. The Festive Itinerary 2026 sets a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner at the Bar on 31 December 2026, from 7pm to 10.30pm: cocktails and canapés at the Welcome Pavilion, then live cooking stations, music and performances. On Christmas Eve dinner runs from 6pm to 9.30pm, a family-style menu at The Restaurant or a Peruvian set menu at the Beach Club.
The brochure prints no prices. The MICHELIN Guide’s listing does: a mandatory gala dinner at $2,112 per adult and $960 per child on 31 December, and $960 and $480 on 24 December, charged apart from the room and without drinks. Aman’s booking calendar agrees for New Year’s Eve: that night showed $10,752 for 2 against $6,528 the night before, a difference of exactly 2 adult galas.
Not at the resort. The hotel’s experience guide sends golfers to the Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club, an 18-hole course open all year from 7am until dusk, with clubs for hire: a 40-minute drive, it says, and 24 km on OpenStreetMap. No golf package appears among the offers.
Until 1 November 2026 it is closed: the official site says the resort «is temporarily closed until 1 November 2026 as the resort undergoes a series of thoughtful enhancements». The booking calendar read on 8 October 2026 showed every night to 15 November as closed and sold the first on 16 November; Google Hotels had no price before that date either. Google reviews of stays run up to the summer of 2026.
No annual closure is announced, and the offers run to December 2027. Hurricane season in the Turks and Caicos runs from 1 June to 30 November, according to the islands’ tourist board; Aman publishes no hurricane guarantee and recommends travel insurance on its arrival page. On the calendar minimum stays apply at holidays: 4 nights at Thanksgiving, 7 over New Year.
On Aman’s own booking calendar, read on 8 October 2026, a night for 2 with breakfast, taxes and fees included, cost $2,445 on 17 November 2026, $2,586 on 19 November, $5,690 on 27 November, in Thanksgiving week, $2,688 on 9 December, $7,680 on 27 December, $4,410 on 6 January 2027, $5,440 on 11 February, $3,264 on 6 April and $2,163 on 18 May, the lowest of the 194 nights priced. Nothing is sold before 16 November: the resort is closed for works.
Google Hotels, read the same day, shows the same figures for the nights it covers: $2,445, $2,586, $5,690, $2,688, $7,680 and $4,410. Its amounts therefore carry the taxes and fees too. These are the lowest rates of each night, for the smallest pavilion on the prepaid, non-refundable Advance Reservation rate.
Google’s 327 ratings average 4.5/5, 79% of them 5 stars; Tripadvisor’s 603 average 4.5/5, with 460 «excellent» and sub-scores of 4.9 for cleanliness, 4.7 for rooms, 4.6 for location and service and 4.0 for value. Trip.com showed 8.6/10 from 30 reviews in May 2026.
Guests praise the beach, the privacy of the pavilions, the snorkelling and individual members of staff, in 2026 often a team seconded from Aman’s hotel in Turkey. The accounts of 2025 and 2026 also carry what is worth knowing before you go: mosquitoes and other insects, pavilions and villas showing their age, waiters who have to be called over in the restaurant and on the beach, the bumpy road in, and lunch and dinner charged on top. All of it was written before the closure for works.
28% in all. The official booking engine, read on 8 October 2026, breaks the charge on a room into a 12% government tax, a 10% service charge and a 6% facility fee: a pavilion at $1,910 for the night of 17 November 2026 came to $2,444.80. Its calendar and Google Hotels both show the amount with these included; no separate resort fee is named.
The same night at the flexible Standard Daily Rate cost $2,725 before taxes and $3,488 with them, against the prepaid rate above. The spa menu applies 28% to treatments. Tripadvisor’s price range, $2,702 to $6,528, is stated without taxes. Extra-guest charges and the festive gala dinners are taxed on top.
