Jade Mountain suits couples on a honeymoon or an anniversary, with the lowest seller on Google from $1,986 for one night for 2 adults on 16 July 2027. Anyone who sleeps well only with air conditioning, or finds stairs hard, will be happier elsewhere.
Co-founder & CEOMarco Di CesareHe spent weeks comparing hotels and kept finding that the detail deciding the trip was missing from the hotel website. 10 years in marketing technology, 2 of them building with AI.About MarcoHow we write the guideLinkedIn
I would ask for a Sun sanctuary, in a north-east or south-west corner with a 270-degree view and an infinity pool averaging 900 square feet. The one Sky suite with air conditioning, on the north-east corner, can be requested.
The weeks that cost less
The calendar read on 13 October 2026 shows 3 nights at $2,070 from 22 to 24 November 2026 and 3 nights at $1,986 from 16 to 18 July 2027. The dearest night shown is 12 February 2027, at $4,983.
On top of the rate
The daily rate takes 20% for VAT, service or resort fees and tourism levy. On the 2026 sheet, breakfast and dinner cost $135 a person a day and the all-inclusive plan $230; both meals are compulsory from 20 December to 2 January.
Lunch at beach level
2 guests who wrote in June and September 2026 had lunch on the beach, one to avoid the walk. The Trou au Diable Beach Restaurant serves lunch at beach level.
What Jade Mountain is
Jade Mountain stands on the hillside above Anse Chastanet, its sister resort, on a 600-acre estate north of Soufrière on St Lucia’s south-west coast. Nick Troubetzkoy, the architect who owns both, built it as one stepped building in which every guest reaches a room across a private bridge. There are 29 of them, called sanctuaries: 24 have their own infinity pool, and the 5 Sky suites have a raised whirlpool tub in its place.
The idea is the missing wall. Each sanctuary has 15-foot ceilings and 3 sides; the fourth is open air, with the 2 Pitons and the Caribbean where the window would be. There is no television, radio or telephone, and a butler, here called a major domo, answers a handset day and night. Everything else happens downhill: 2 beaches, a dive centre, tennis and 4 more restaurants are Anse Chastanet’s, 5 minutes away on foot or 2 by shuttle.
The same openness asks for a guest who likes sleeping with the breeze and the ceiling fans. The hotel’s own pages say the sanctuaries are naturally ventilated, with no air conditioning, and guests describe warm nights, birds in the room and a mosquito net over the bed. The building has stairs and no lifts, the last stretch of road is rough, and the rate is only the start: Google Hotels, read on 13 October 2026, showed the lowest seller from $1,986 for one night on 16 to 18 July 2027 and $4,983 for the dearest night shown, 12 February 2027, with the 20% charge in and no meals.
In the Lumina Guide
Lumina Guide 2027
At Jade Mountain, above Anse Chastanet beach on St Lucia, the 29 sanctuaries have no fourth wall: the pool begins at the foot of the bed and the Pitons stand in front.
What we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.
Location
The Pitons fill the open side of every room and 2 beaches lie 5 minutes below; Hewanorra airport is 36.7 km and about an hour away, the last stretch on a rough road.
Character
One stepped building of stone, timber and coloured glass tile, private bridges and rooms with 3 walls: no other hotel on the island is built like it.
Rooms
Sanctuaries of 130 to 186 m² with 15-foot ceilings, 24 of them with an infinity pool of their own; no air conditioning and no television, by design.
Food and social life
The Jade Mountain Club serves guests only, round a pool under the Celestial Terrace, and 4 more restaurants are the sister resort’s; most guests praise the cooking.
Wellness
A small spa of 2 treatment rooms, treatments in the sanctuary, yoga at 7am on the terrace and a gym; no sauna or steam room is published, and no shared pool for lengths.
The stay as a whole
Google, read on 13 October 2026: from $1,986 for one night on 16 to 18 July 2027, and $4,983 for the dearest night shown, with the 20% charge and without meals; breakfast and dinner cost $135 a person a day in 2026 and $140 in 2027.
What makes it rare
A badge is an experience travellers look for, that is really here and that few hotels in the guide have.
What do Jade Mountain’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Location
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests write of the Pitons seen from the bed, the quiet, and the 2 beaches at the foot of the hill, Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin.
Room
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests write of the wall open to the Pitons, the private infinity pool and the size of the sanctuaries, 130 to 186 m² under 15-foot ceilings.
Staff and service
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests return to the major domos, the butlers reachable at any hour on a handset and often remembered by name, and to the warmth of the whole staff.
Breakfast
Breakfast mostly comes to the sanctuary by room service, or is taken at the Jade Mountain Club.
Price
5 in 10 guests who mention the price find it fair. Guests speak of the sanctuary with its open wall and of the private pool; the rate is room only, and meals are charged separately.

The scores come from 333 Google reviews with text, left from 11 May 2014 to 26 September 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in St Lucia: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 8 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in St Lucia:

Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort
Cap Maison Resort & Spa
Price: for two on the night of 16 July 2027, from $1,986 (seen on Google Hotels on 13 October 2026).
What a night costs, season by season
The lowest seller on Google showed from $1,890 a night for 2 adults in late October 2026, and $2,631 or more from 14 January to 15 April 2027. I would weigh late November 2026 against mid-July 2027, then check the same dates again before booking.

What to expect
A room with 3 walls, a restaurant for guests only, 2 beaches at the foot of the hill, treatments beside your own pool and an arrival by road or by helicopter.
Bedroom, living area and, in 24 sanctuaries, the infinity pool run into one another under a 15-foot ceiling, and the side facing the Pitons has no wall and no glass. The pools measure 400 to 900 square feet, about 37 to 84 m², each lined with glass tiles in its own colours and lit at night.
The hotel’s restaurant is reserved for its own guests: breakfast from 7 to 10am, lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.15 to 9.30pm, at tables set round an infinity pool. Above it, the Celestial Terrace is the roof, used for yoga at 7am, sunset drinks and private dinners.
Anse Chastanet beach is 0.4 km down the hill, about 5 minutes on foot or 2 by the resort’s shuttle; Anse Mamin, the second, is reached by the resort’s boat or along the shore. Chairs, towels, snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards are part of the rate, and the reef starts off the sand.
The spa has 2 air-conditioned treatment rooms on the building’s lower level and is open from 8.30am to 8pm; most of its menu can be had in the sanctuary instead. A 60-minute Swedish massage is $125, and a 10% service charge is added.
From Hewanorra airport it is 36.7 km and about an hour by car, $120 a couple each way with the hotel’s sedan. The resort’s own helipad cuts that to 6 minutes in the air and 5 by car, at $295 a person each way, in daylight and with at least 4 passengers booked on the flight.
Good to know before you book
Rates are for the room only: breakfast and dinner cost $135 a person a day in 2026, and 20% in VAT, service charge and tourism levy is added to everything. Source: jademountain.com
No air conditioning: the sanctuaries are cooled by the breeze and ceiling fans. One Sky suite, on the north-east corner, has windows and air conditioning and can be requested.
With one side open, birds fly in and insects follow. Guests describe a mosquito net round the bed, repellent and earplugs left in the room. Between October 2025 and June 2026, 3 Google reviews describe mosquitoes or bites in the room; another 2, in May 2024 and June 2025, say they met few insects.
The building climbs the hill and has no lifts. From the lower sanctuaries to the restaurant on the roof there are several flights of steep stairs; guests with limited mobility say it is not for them.
Daily rates are for the room only. Breakfast and dinner cost $135 a person a day in 2026, the all-inclusive plan $230, and 20% in VAT, service charge and tourism levy is added to everything; from 20 December to 2 January breakfast and dinner are compulsory.
The road from Soufrière to the resort is short and rough: guests in 2025 and 2026 call the last 1.5 to 2 miles bumpy and slow, and some fly in by helicopter to avoid it.
By road from either airport to Soufrière and up a rough final stretch, or by helicopter to the resort’s own helipad
From Hewanorra airport (UVF)
36.7 km and about 60 minutes by car; the hotel’s booking page gives 18 miles and approximately 60 minutes
From George F. L. Charles airport (SLU)
44.6 km by car, 52 to 80 minutes depending on the calculation; the hotel gives 30 miles and approximately 75 minutes
The hotel’s car
A private sedan for 1 or 2 people costs $120 each way from UVF and $135 from SLU, a luxury sedan $205 and $225, on the hotel’s transfer sheet dated 19 August 2026
By helicopter
6 minutes from UVF and 8 from SLU to the resort’s helipad, then a 5-minute drive: $295 and $320 a person each way, daylight only, with 4 passengers needed to confirm a flight; luggage follows by road
The last stretch
The resort is 2.8 km by road from Soufrière’s church square; guests describe this road as rough and slow
By boat
The hotel publishes no boat transfer from the airports; its reception arranges water taxis, and a guest of November 2025 arrived by one
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at noon, on the hotel’s booking page
Distances and times calculated on OpenStreetMap’s roads on 8 October 2026; a second calculation on the same map gives 64 minutes from Hewanorra. The MICHELIN Guide’s page gives 17 miles, 55 minutes and transfers at $95 each way.

Nights in a Sun sanctuary
In June 2026 a couple on their 20th anniversary call their Sun sanctuary unreal and the service faultless. They warn that there is no air conditioning: one night was uncomfortably warm with the ceiling fan and 2 standing fans on, and the earplugs in the nightstand were needed when a frog got in.
A guest of September 2026 stayed 7 nights and will not return: the toilet is open to the room, birds flew in, damp settled on the bed and there was no air conditioning. They flew in by helicopter and were glad of it after leaving by road in bad weather.
In June 2026 a guest on the all-inclusive plan praises the food and the airport transfer, and counted 142 steep steps from the lowest level of sanctuaries to the roof restaurant, with no lift. The bed has a mosquito net, and a water pistol keeps the birds off the breakfast table.
A couple in August 2026 had a poor first day: a room with little of the Pitons, a butler half an hour late and dinner only at 9pm. After their travel agent called, the hotel moved them, gave them a sunset cruise and found a table at 6.45pm every night; the toilets and the beach still disappointed.
In September 2026 a guest writes that a Star sanctuary, the smallest with a pool, felt large and private at 85% occupancy. Dinner was 4 courses from a menu that changed daily, the Club was the best of the restaurants, and lunch on the beach saved the walk back up.
A guest of October 2025 loved the sanctuary, the snorkelling and the bike trails, but says nobody explained how the all-inclusive plan worked, so bills arriving after meals caused confusion. The last 2 miles of road felt like off-roading, and service on the beach was cooler than up the hill.
What travellers ask before choosing Jade Mountain, answered from the sources read on 8 October 2026.
What kind of hotel is Jade Mountain?
A resort of 29 open-sided suites, called sanctuaries, built into the hillside above Anse Chastanet, its sister resort, on a 600-acre estate near Soufrière on St Lucia’s south-west coast. The official accommodation page counts 24 sanctuaries with a private infinity pool and 5 Sky suites with a whirlpool tub and no pool; the MICHELIN Guide’s page says «24 Rooms», which is the number with pools.
It was designed by Nick Troubetzkoy, the architect who owns both resorts, and takes no guests under 16. The MICHELIN Guide gives it Two Keys, awarded in 2025 and again in 2026 according to the hotel’s awards page, and Google lists it as a 5-star hotel.
What are the sanctuaries like, and how big are they?
Every sanctuary has a king bed, a 15-foot ceiling, an open bathroom with a chromatherapy whirlpool tub for 2 and a shower tower, and one side with no wall. The official page gives Star sanctuaries 1,400 to 1,800 square feet, Moon 1,600 to 1,950, Sun 1,800 to 2,000 and Galaxy 2,000 on average, about 130 to 186 m²; the 5 Sky suites average 1,650 square feet, about 153 m².
The private pools grow with the category, from about 450 square feet in a Star to about 900 in a Sun or Galaxy. No 2 sanctuaries share a layout, so a category fixes the size, never the exact room. There is a fridge, a safe and tea and coffee, and no television, radio or telephone; the hotel’s booking engine prints 153, 167 and 181 m² for the Sky, Star and Moon.
What does the open fourth wall mean for air conditioning, insects and privacy?
There is no air conditioning. The hotel’s environment page says the open-sided sanctuaries are naturally ventilated, and the only exception on the accommodation page is one Sky suite on the north-east corner, with windows and air conditioning, which can be requested. Google’s listing says «some have air-conditioning», which overstates it.
The official pages do not mention insects in the rooms. Guests do: reviews of 2025 and 2026 describe a mosquito net round the bed with a fan inside it, repellent, incense at turndown and earplugs, and birds flying in. Others in June 2025 found the sea breeze kept the room cool and nearly free of bugs.
On privacy, the hotel says each sanctuary keeps «complete privacy» with the wall open, and guests agree that nobody overlooks the room. Indoors the plan is open: the bathroom is part of the room, toilet included, as guests of 2026 write.
Where is it, and how remote?
On the hillside above Anse Chastanet bay, 2.8 km by road north of Soufrière, the town under the Pitons. The hotel prints only a post-office box; the MICHELIN Guide gives the address as 100 Anse Chastanet Road. The Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens are 3.9 km away and the Sulphur Springs 6.4 km, on OpenStreetMap’s roads.
It is quiet by intention: no television, and mobile phones asked to stay on vibrate outside the room. Castries, the capital, is 41.3 km away by road and Rodney Bay, in the north, 51.7 km, and every outing begins with the rough road down to Soufrière.
How do you get there from the airports?
By car from Hewanorra International (UVF), in the south, it is 36.7 km and about 60 minutes on OpenStreetMap’s roads; the hotel’s booking page says 18 miles and approximately 60 minutes. From George F. L. Charles (SLU), the inter-island airport at Castries, it is 44.6 km, which the 2 calculations put at 52 and 80 minutes and the hotel at about 75.
The hotel’s transfer sheet prices a private sedan at $120 a couple each way from UVF and $135 from SLU, or $205 and $225 in a luxury sedan, charged to the room account. A helicopter lands at the resort’s own helipad in 6 minutes from UVF or 8 from SLU, for $295 or $320 a person each way; a flight needs 4 passengers to be confirmed, runs in daylight only, and the luggage travels by road.
No boat transfer from the airports is published. The reception arranges water taxis.
How does Jade Mountain relate to Anse Chastanet?
Anse Chastanet is the older sister resort directly below, on the same estate and under the same owner. Jade Mountain has its own restaurant, spa, gym and boutique; the beaches, the dive centre, the tennis court, the bike trails and 4 more restaurants belong to Anse Chastanet, and the hotel’s home page gives Jade Mountain’s guests full use of them.
The 2 are joined by a path and a road. The booking page calls it an easy 5-minute walk downhill and the home page a 2-minute shuttle ride; OpenStreetMap’s paths give 0.4 km to the sand. A resort boat links Anse Chastanet beach with Anse Mamin, the second beach, which can also be reached on foot along the shore.
The reverse does not hold: the Jade Mountain Club is for Jade Mountain’s guests only. Anse Chastanet takes children, from age 10 on the hotel’s contact page and from age 8 on its wedding FAQ, so the beach is livelier than the hill.
Is there parking?
The hotel’s pages do not mention parking: guests arrive by the hotel’s car, a taxi or helicopter, and the booking page says car hire can be arranged on the spot. Tripadvisor lists «Free parking» and Google «Parking», with no detail. Anyone driving should know that reviewers call the last stretch from Soufrière rough enough to need a slow, high vehicle.
Is there a beach, and are sunbeds included?
2, both the estate’s: Anse Chastanet, 0.4 km below the hotel, and Anse Mamin, the next bay north. The rates page includes beach chairs, beach towels and non-motorised water sports in the daily rate, and the services sheet lists snorkelling gear, kayaks, windsurfers, Sunfish dinghies and paddleboards.
The sand is dark and volcanic. The reef begins off Anse Chastanet, inside a marine reserve, with Scuba St Lucia, a PADI 5-star centre, on the beach. Day visitors come too: reviewers call the beach public, tour boats land on it, and one in March 2023 paid $66 for a chair with shade.
What are the pools like?
There are 24 private infinity pools, one in each Star, Moon, Sun and Galaxy sanctuary, of 400 to 900 square feet, about 37 to 84 m², says the pools page. Each has a shallow lounging shelf and a swimming area, is lined with glass tiles made for the hotel in its own colours and is lit by fibre optics at night; the water is filtered through zeolite sand and sterilised with ozone.
The only pool outside the sanctuaries is the one the Jade Mountain Club is built round. The Sky suites have no pool, and no page of the hotel’s site shows a shared swimming pool: swimming beyond your own sanctuary means the sea.
Are the pools heated, and are they open all year?
The official pages give no temperature and do not say the pools are heated; they describe filtration, ozone and lighting. A guest in March 2026 calls them heated, which nothing published confirms. Each pool is part of its sanctuary and is open whenever the room is occupied, in every month: the booking page describes an island that is warm all year, with more afternoon rain between June and November.
Where do you eat, and at what hours?
At the Jade Mountain Club, the hotel’s own restaurant, which serves «Jade Cuisine», a tropical fusion menu devised by the consultant chef Allen Susser: breakfast from 7 to 10am, lunch from noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.15 to 9.30pm on the services sheet of 3 July 2026. Sanctuary service runs at any hour. The club’s own page says it caters exclusively to resident guests.
Down the hill, Anse Chastanet adds the Treehouse for breakfast and Caribbean dinners, Emerald’s for a vegan dinner, the Trou au Diable on the beach for lunch and for Apsara, its East Indian and St Lucian dinner, and the Jungle Grill on Anse Mamin for lunch. Dinners there run from 6.30 to 9.30pm except on Tuesdays, when everyone eats at a Caribbean buffet with a steel band on the beach.
Dress in the evening is smart casual: collared shirts with long shorts or trousers for men, and no flip-flops, sportswear or caps at dinner. Dinner for 2 on the Celestial Terrace costs $110 a person plus a $225 set-up fee, and a 6-course dinner with wines in the sanctuary $350 a person, each with 10% service and 10% VAT.
Is it all-inclusive, and what do the meal plans cost?
Not by default. The 2026 rates page quotes every room without meals and adds a plan on request: breakfast and dinner at $135 a person a day, or the all-inclusive plan at $230; in 2027 they rise to $140 and $235. From 20 December to 2 January breakfast and dinner are compulsory. Google marks the hotel «all inclusive available», which is accurate only in that sense.
A plan is valid at the Jade Mountain Club and at all of Anse Chastanet’s restaurants; lobster, premium cuts and the Monday wine dinner carry surcharges. The Total Romance package is the all-inclusive stay sold as one price, for 3 nights or more: all meals, most drinks, airport transfers, a massage each and several excursions.
What is the spa like?
Kai en Ciel is a small spa on the building’s lower level: 2 air-conditioned treatment rooms and hair, manicure and pedicure stations, with an air-conditioned gym of Cybex and Life Fitness machines below it. No sauna, steam room, hammam or spa pool appears on any official page or in the spa brochure.
Much of the menu is given in the sanctuary instead, beside the guest’s own pool. Guests may also use Kai Belté, Anse Chastanet’s spa on the beach, with an open-air cabana over the reef; the hotel’s spa page gives it 5 treatment rooms and the brochure 3.
Is the spa included, and can outside guests use it?
The gym and the daily yoga classes are free to guests; treatments are charged, with a 10% service charge added, according to the spa brochure. Since the spa has no pools or heat rooms, there is no entrance fee to pay, and guests must be 16 or over.
No day pass is published, for the spa or for the hotel. The Jade Mountain Club is described as for resident guests only, yet Google reviews of 2025 and 2026 describe lunches and birthday dinners there by visitors.
When is the spa open, and do you need to book?
Treatments run from 8.30am to 8pm, 7 days a week, and the spa brochure recommends booking in advance; the hotel takes requests before arrival through a form on its spa page. Cancel less than 12 hours ahead and half the price is charged, less than 4 hours and all of it. Yoga is at 7am on the Celestial Terrace, and at 8.30am and 5pm in the gazebo on Anse Chastanet beach.
Which treatments are there, and at what price?
From the spa brochure marked 12 March 2026: a Swedish massage $125 for 60 minutes and $175 for 90, deep tissue $145 and $190, hot stones $180 for 75 minutes, reflexology $125 and a chocolate facial $135. The couples’ ritual The Alchemy of 2, given in the sanctuary, is $600 for 110 minutes, and a jet-lag programme with a guided hike, yoga and a massage $400 a person.
Products come from Aromatherapy Associates and Tara for the Ayurvedic treatments, with VOYA seaweed treatments of up to $499 for 3 hours. Prices include VAT of 10 to 12.5%; a 10% service charge is added.
Are children or pets allowed?
Children under 16 are not accepted, on the booking page and the rates pages, and the MICHELIN Guide says the same. For a wedding, children over 10 may attend a celebration at Jade Mountain under supervision, but may not stay, according to the wedding FAQ. The official pages state no policy on pets. Families are sent to Anse Chastanet, below.
What is there at the hotel, and is there Wi-Fi?
At Jade Mountain itself: the Jade Mountain Club and its bar, the Celestial Terrace, Kai en Ciel spa, a gym, a boutique and a reception with guest computers. Wi-Fi is free in the public areas and in the sanctuaries, on the booking page; the same page says there are no televisions, radios or conventional telephones, and that each guest is given a handset to reach the major domos at any hour.
Anse Chastanet adds the 2 beaches, the dive centre, a tennis court, more than 12 miles of hiking and biking trails at Anse Mamin, an art gallery and 2 beach boutiques. Free each week are guided estate walks, a chocolate tasting, a Creole history class and a rum mixology class; power is 240 volts through British 3-pin sockets.
What offers are there?
On the promotions page on 8 October 2026: Take Five, every 5th night free in a Sky suite or a Star or Moon sanctuary on selected dates; Summer Sanctuary, every 4th night free in the same categories in summer; and Lovers’ Early Bird, a 7th night free on the Total Romance package.
Total Romance, Tropical Tranquility and the diving, adventure, yoga and chocolate packages bundle meals, transfers and activities with the room. Promotions cannot be combined and blackout dates apply; packages need a 50% deposit, against 3 nights for a daily-rate booking.
Can you get married at Jade Mountain?
Yes; ceremonies are limited to one a day. The wedding packages are Elope to Paradise at $2,295, The Great Escape at $3,395 and The Ultimate Escape at $4,950, each covering the registrar, licence and legal fees, a planner, the decorated location, bouquet, cake and champagne; the dearer 2 add photography, video and a sunset cruise.
The ceremony can be on the Celestial Terrace, in the sanctuary, on either beach, in the old plantation at Anse Mamin or on a boat. The wedding brochure asks couples to stay at least 5 nights and to be on the island 3 full days before the date, or to pay $275 for 24-hour processing; the civil ceremony must end before sunset, so most take place at 4 or 5pm.
Is there a New Year’s Eve dinner?
Yes. The hotel’s culinary calendar for 2026 ends the year with a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, a 6-course tasting menu followed by fireworks on the Celestial Terrace, after a Christmas Eve tasting menu. No price or supplement for the gala is published.
Breakfast and dinner are compulsory in the rate from 20 December to 2 January. Read on 8 October 2026, the booking engine sold no single night on 31 December; it offered 7 nights from 27 December, from $4,056 a night in a Star sanctuary with breakfast, dinner and the 20% charge.
Is there golf?
No. The hotel has no course and sells no golf package; its excursions page points players to the 18-hole St Lucia Golf & Country Club at Cap Estate, in the far north of the island, and suggests going by water taxi and car. What the estate offers is the sea and the forest: diving, kayaking, mountain biking and guided walks.
Is it open all year?
The hotel announces no seasonal closure: its rate sheets run through all 12 months of 2026 and 2027, and the booking page calls St Lucia a year-round destination. Availability is another matter with 29 rooms. On 8 October 2026 Google Hotels showed a price for 75 of the 115 nights to 31 January 2027.
The booking engine, read the same day, answered «no availability» for stays beginning on 4 and 5 November and on 4 and 5 December 2026, for 1, 3 and 5 nights, with no reason given; over New Year it sold only longer stays. The winter rates run from 3 January to 15 April and the lowest from 1 June to 31 October.

The receipt has no field for taxes; its amounts match the hotel’s own price with the 20% of VAT, service charge and tourism levy added, or stand 15 to 20 dollars below it.
The hotel’s booking engine, read the same day, printed for those nights, with its «additional taxes and fees» added: $1,890, $1,890, $2,070, $2,070, $2,982, $4,314 and $2,646. All are for a Sky suite without meals, except 24 December, which includes the compulsory breakfast and dinner, and 7 January, when the cheapest room left was a Moon sanctuary.
On Google’s calendar 75 of the 115 nights to 31 January 2027 had a price, from $1,872 to $4,299; none was shown for 3 to 12 November, 2 to 10 December or 26 December to 1 January. For 15 November Google still showed $2,070 while the engine had only a Sun sanctuary left, at $4,062.
What do the reviews say?
On 8 October 2026 Google showed 4.7/5 from 581 ratings, 87% of them 5 stars, and Tripadvisor 4.8/5 from 1,352, with 4.9 for location, rooms and cleanliness, 4.8 for service, 4.6 for sleep quality and 4.3 for value. Tripadvisor ranks it second of 10 hotels in Soufrière.
Of the 333 Google reviews with text, 93% of those discussing the sanctuaries are positive, as are 88% of those discussing staff and services. A further 20% is added to the rate and meals are charged separately; the last stretch of road is rough and the nights are without air conditioning.
What is added to the price?
20% on the room rate: the rates page calls it «VAT, Service Charge/Resort Fees and Tourism Levy» and adds that VAT is 7% on accommodation, 10% on food, drink and activities and 12.5% on some spa and wedding services. The booking engine shows it as a separate line: a Sky suite at $1,575 in October carries $315 of taxes and fees, and a Star sanctuary at $2,175 carries $435.
The 2026 sheet runs from $1,575 for a Sky suite to $3,875 for a Galaxy sanctuary between 1 June and 31 October, and the 2027 sheet from $2,205 to $4,945 between 3 January and 15 April, all before the 20%. A third guest costs $150 a day in 2026.
A daily-rate booking is secured with 3 nights’ deposit. Cancel within 21 days of arrival and 3 nights are charged; over Christmas and New Year 3 nights are charged from 65 days out and nothing is refunded within 28. Card refunds carry a 5% processing fee.
What about hurricane season, and what do you need to enter St Lucia?
The Atlantic season runs from June to November. The hotel’s booking page argues that St Lucia lies south of the main track, counting 14 hurricanes within 60 miles since 1850, and sets out a policy: with a formal tropical storm warning and a system forecast within 50 miles, a booking can be cancelled and the deposit kept for a later stay; with a formal hurricane warning, the deposit is refunded in full or held.
For entry, the same page asks for a passport valid for the length of the stay and an electronic immigration form completed up to 3 days before travel. No visa is needed for citizens of the United States, Commonwealth countries and most of the European Union. The hotel’s contact page words the passport rule differently, asking for 3 months’ validity.
