For couples and families happy to spend their days at the resort, Google showed one night taken alone from MXN 13,535 for 2 adults. For a trip built around evenings out, I would choose somewhere with less driving.

I would choose the Cliffside Panoramic One-Bedroom Suite with Infinity Pool for its unobstructed 180° ocean and reserve views, its ocean outlook from living room, bedroom and bathroom, and its hammock and outdoor shower.
The nights in August
Read on 16 October 2026, Google showed 16–18 August 2027 at MXN 13,535–13,744 for one night taken alone; 28–29 December 2026 reached MXN 175,460 a night.
Meals in the house
In the Four-Bedroom Ocean-View House with Pool, a personal chef, meals in the house, refreshments and snacks are included. Alcohol and meals eaten in the resort’s restaurants are charged separately, even when staying in the house.
Before taking the trails
Before setting out on the reserve’s 42 km of trails, stop at the Discovery Centre: the resident researchers share their knowledge of the local wildlife, and Four Seasons guides can take you birdwatching from this base.
What Four Seasons Tamarindo is
The final 15 minutes of the arrival drive run through jungle before the view opens at La Mansión. Timber, stone and concrete frame the horizon. Behind lie the reserve’s hotel-listed 42 km of trails; below, 3 tiers of pools descend the cliffside.
The 14 room types begin with 66 m² Nature Rooms near the main building. Cliffside suites all have 148 m²; the Panoramic opens to 180° views. These areas include terraces and outdoor space, worth remembering when comparing them with rooms elsewhere.
Food has a rhythm of its own. Coyul starts with fresh pan dulce and clay-pot eggs with labneh. Nacho serves mushroom tacos and squash-blossom quesadillas; Sal faces Majahua Beach with the day’s catch. Check the meals attached to the rate: an August 2026 guest was surprised to find the breakfast buffet excluded.
For days beyond the terrace, there are 18 holes at El Tamarindo, reserve outings and a spa with 8 garden-shower cabins. Rancho Lola grows ingredients and welcomes visits; an August 2026 family remembers bees, animals, local plants and an evening looking through a telescope.

The scores come from 187 Google reviews with text, left from 7 November 2022 to 12 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay on the Costalegre: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 16 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
