Like a regular

The curved beach beside Hyatt Ziva Cancun’s pools
  1. Space for the family

With children, I would ask for the Resort View Master Double: 55 m², a private balcony and a published maximum occupancy of 5, including no more than 3 children.

  2. The December week

Read on 17 October 2026: 6–12 December ranges from 8,646 to 9,463 pesos for one night taken alone for 2 adults. The calendar’s dearest night, 29 December, is 26,997 pesos for one night taken alone.

  3. The airport transfer budget

Allow $118 per vehicle for the standard private return airport transfer, carrying up to 6 passengers, at the tariff read on 17 October 2026; valet parking is complimentary for resort guests.

  4. Reserve the tasting dinner

Reserve Chef’s Table with the Gourmet Concierges beside the 24-hour area: its tables seat up to 12, and the menu changes each season, so I would arrange that dinner early.

What Hyatt Ziva Cancun is

The peninsula shapes the holiday: the sea wraps around the resort, with the lighthouse beside the Pyramid building. Beach, pool and a table at Habaneros can follow one another without arranging a trip out. With 547 suites and an all-inclusive plan, it suits travellers who want to spend much of their holiday here.

For a family I would begin with the 55 m² Master rooms: the Double sleeps up to 5, the King with sofa bed up to 4. Teenagers aged 13+ can also stay in the Pyramid Swim-Up rooms. Turquoize gives couples a different base: suites for ages 18+, with balcony hot tubs or semi-private pool access in the Sky Swim-Up categories, plus the rooftop and Punta Vista.

Meals allow plenty of detours: wood-fired pizza at Lorenzo’s, Asian dishes at The Moongate, beer brewed at Tres Cervezas and the colourful displays at Pasteles. Zen Spa adds a sauna, steam room and cold plunge, with treatments and hydrotherapy charged separately. I would also set aside a separate budget for cabanas and private dinners.

The scores come from 195 Google reviews with text, left from 7 January 2026 to 17 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Cancún: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 17 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
