The first floor in summer
From May to September, a heated outdoor pool and a lounger on the terrace; access is free for hotel guests.5
From May to September, at the President Wilson the pool terrace looks straight onto Lake Geneva. I’d spend the afternoon there and keep the evening for dinner at Bayview.
The lake in front of me, Bayview for dinner and a swimsuit ready for the pool: I’d enjoy the President Wilson between May and September. For a winter holiday with a daily swim, I’d choose a hotel with an indoor pool.

I would ask for the Deluxe Lake View: 35 m² with a king or 2 twin beds. Here I would spend on the view before moving to a larger room.
For 19–25 December 2026, nights searched separately range from CHF 522 to CHF 567. The dearest night in the calendar is 9 November 2026 at CHF 1,102; I would try a few dates before settling on the first.
I would allow CHF 40 per day for on-site parking or valet. The airport limousine, available on request, costs CHF 180 each way; I would add it to the trip’s budget.
I would keep a Tuesday-to-Saturday evening for Bayview, with dinner from 7pm to 9pm. For lunch I would choose Wednesday–Saturday, 12pm–1.30pm; on Tuesday I would arrive with the rest of the day to spend outside.
Rooms start at 35 m², facing the city, part of the lake, the pool or Lake Geneva itself. I would choose a Deluxe Lake View before moving up a category: here, the first thing I would pay for is outside the window. For more space, Junior Suites reach 65 m² and the Executive Leman 100 m².
From May to September, guests swim on the first-floor terrace with access included in their stay. In other months I would keep time for the La Mer spa: treatments run 11 am–8 pm, and dedicated packages include a Spa Suite with a sauna and steam room.
I would book Bayview for dinner, Tuesday–Saturday; lunch starts on Wednesday. The following evening I would switch to Lebanese cooking at Arabesque, open every night. Glow Bar leaves more room for spontaneity, 9am–midnight.

I would walk out onto Quai Wilson and let the lake set the direction, giving the first walk some space before turning it into a list of sights.

One guest praises the service, housekeeping and location. Pool staff remembered their name and where they had sat the previous day. The breakfast buffet impressed them less for its choice of hearty dishes and juices.
One guest enjoys the lake, Glow Bar, breakfast and friendly staff. Their 1st-floor room needed updating; with no sockets by the bed, they had to charge their phone at the desk.
One guest describes a beautiful, comfortable room, with a lake view through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Here the park runs down to the lake: the outdoor pool sits among the trees, with Lake Geneva and the Alps ahead. I’d bring even the youngest, since La Petite Réserve takes them from 6 months, and keep an evening for Cantonese dinner at Tsé Fung.

At Four Seasons des Bergues Geneva, your day can begin with a swim above the rooftops and finish at IZUMI: on the terrace in summer, in the library in winter.

At La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich I would head up to La Muña: beneath the dome, among exposed beams and lanterns, dinner brings Japan and Peru together.

I would choose the Castellan Suite’s rooftop terrace: plants, a chair and Enge’s rooftops, with the lake a short walk away. This 1930s Art Deco building has 57 rooms and suites; for swimming and saunas, you head outside to nearby Stockerhof.

Curhaus towers above Zurich, art in the corridors and warm water facing the city.

Lausanne climbs behind the palace; from the right rooms, the lake appears beyond the rooftops.

In Schönried the brine pool runs outdoors; inside, the Stuben and cake table slow the day.

The palace Gstaad looks up to, from fondue in an old vault to music at GreenGo.

From boat to ridge, Lake Lucerne returns in the view from the warm pool.

A park between city and lake, Le Hall under glass and Zurich just beyond the trees.
