I would leave several mornings for the beach and pools at Park Hyatt, choosing the room for the hours I plan to spend outdoors. For a trip centred on outings along the Corniche, I would prefer a city address.

For two, I would consider a villa if we will actually use the hours on the terrace. For daily outings and late returns, a sea-view room looks a more proportionate choice.

I’d ask for: A One Bedroom Beach View Villa if I want a pool for the two of us.

Breakfast before going out
The Café serves its breakfast buffet from 7am to 11am. Separate the room price from breakfast first, then choose the arrangement for your mornings.
Lunch after the beach
Beach House serves lunch until 4.30pm. I would choose it for coming back from the beach without timing the swim to lunch.
A car when you need it
Both valet and self-parking are complimentary. On a trip divided between Saadiyat and the city, parking need not become an extra nightly charge.

What Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas is

Park Hyatt sits between the sea and the golf course on Saadiyat. The stay can fit into a room with a balcony or expand into a villa with a kitchen, sitting room and private pool. Before adding floor space, I would decide how much time I want to share with the wider resort.

In the evening I would make room for Maté, where Argentinian cooking meets Lebanese influences. For a longer lunch, Beach House brings southern Italian food to the shore. They offer different settings, worth choosing before filling every evening with addresses in the city.

Atarmia gives the afternoon a quieter turn, with treatments and separate thermal areas for men and women. There is no need to fit everything into a day. A booked dinner and a few free hours between bedroom and sand would be enough to begin.

How much does a night cost?

Which pools are there?

The resort has 5 pools, including adults-only, family and children’s pools. Match swimming to the pool you will use. Atarmia’s adults’ pool opens from 8am to 7pm.

What does Atarmia offer?

Separate men’s and women’s areas include steam rooms, whirlpools and heated loungers. Treatments start at 11.15am, with the last reservation at 8pm. Choose the treatment length and arrangement first.

How would I plan a celebration or wedding?

The resort has 12 indoor and outdoor event venues, including a ballroom, the lawn facing the sea and smaller meeting rooms. Weddings can use indoor settings or the beach. Before settling the date, I would have the venue, setup, catering and group rooms quoted together for the actual guest count.

Which World of Hyatt offer would I check?
