I would ask for a Fabulous room for the sea-facing balcony; a review updated in April 2026 describes a third stay in that category. The official room page also lists a freestanding soaking tub and separate shower.
In the calendar read on 13 October 2026, the lowest seller showed AED 645 for 2 adults for each night from 1 to 7 July 2027, searched separately. The night of 31 December 2026 reached AED 4,976.
For a transfer with a driver, the private car is listed at AED 425 one way and is available on request; I would allow for it separately.
There is 24-hour in-room dining; I would leave an evening free to order supper and enjoy the panoramic views from the room’s balcony or terrace.
The hotel opened on 4 February 2019 as the first W Escape in the Middle East, the resort label of Marriott’s W brand, on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah. The building steps down towards the beach; at the entrance hangs The Soundwave, a sculpture of 640 pieces of glass 30 metres long, and the walls of every room carry, in Arabic, lines from a song by Fairuz.
There are 349 rooms and suites by the hotel’s count, 350 by Expedia’s, and every one has a balcony or terrace: the Wonderful rooms face the garden, the Fabulous the sea, the Spectacular the Marina skyline. Sizes are published only for the largest suites: the Marvelous Jacuzzi at 184 to 344 m², the WOW at 550, the E-WOW at 864.
The heart of it is WET Deck, the adults-only pools with DJs, open 10am to 7pm and until 9pm at weekends, in front of the private beach. On the roof is SoBe, the only bar on the Palm with a 360° view, and on the fifth floor Akira Back, in the MICHELIN Guide Dubai. There is also a kids’ club for ages 4 to 12, 10am to 8pm; OliWino, the Mediterranean restaurant, is closed until further notice.
On Google it scores 4.5 out of 5 from 5,221 reviews, on Tripadvisor 4.7 from 3,773, and 8.6 on Booking.com. Of the 2,000 most recent Google reviews, since May 2023, 1,523 give 5 stars: guests praise the staff, the large rooms, breakfast and WET Deck. The DJs’ music starts in the morning, some rooms face a building site and there is a wait at the valet to get the car back.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 12 April 2025 to 3 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Dubai: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 5 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
