The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort
The St. Regis Saadiyat stretches behind the pale beach, beyond the turquoise water.
The St. Regis makes sense for returning from the beach to a different dinner table each evening. If I mainly wanted quiet hours in the room, I would choose another resort while the works continue.
All about The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort (1)
Is it for you?
For two, I would focus on the balcony and an evening left free after dinner. A sea view is a specific category choice to settle in the booked room name.
- I’d ask for
- A Premium Sea View if I want the sea to remain part of the room.
- Worth knowing
- For a spa visit together, reserve the treatment and the time you want to spend on it before travelling.

Saturday breakfast
Oléa finishes Saturday breakfast at 11am, while on other days it continues until noon. The day of the week changes how long I can linger before going out.
The weekend lunch table
Sontaya also serves lunch from Friday to Sunday, from 1pm to 4pm. I would book it for an Asian lunch without leaving the resort.
Arriving by car
On-site self-parking is complimentary for guests. Check-in starts at 3pm and check-out is by noon.
What The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort is
Every room has a balcony and every category comes with butler service. The hotel faces the sea from Saadiyat, with rooms and suites ranging from one king bed to separate 2-bedroom arrangements. Start with how you intend to travel together, then look at the floor plan.
I would choose Sontaya for Southeast Asian food among pavilions and pools. Oléa offers Mediterranean cooking with live stations and à la carte choices. Dinner can change from evening to evening while the address stays the same.
Between swims, the spa has 12 treatment suites and the Athletic Club adds squash, a gym and classes. I would leave one afternoon without other plans. These spaces need time as well as a room booking.

Distinctions
The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them
What do The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Location
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. The beach and Saadiyat are explicit reasons to return in accounts from guests seeking time by the sea.
Room
8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Accounts range from praise for the room to a report of neglected maintenance, making the condition of the assigned room worth attention.
Staff and service
A mother travelling with her daughter and a one-night guest remember help from the staff and butler.
Breakfast
The breakfast selection is noticed even by a guest who dislikes the taste. Another remembers it as an enjoyable part of the morning.
Price
Guests judge the price differently. One finds it justified by a quiet stay, while another considers it high after a less successful experience.

469 guests said so on Google, from 6 November 2024 to 23 October 2026. Google reviews dated from 5 November 2024; the latest 500 with text, or all available texts when fewer. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Abu Dhabi: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 5 November 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in Abu Dhabi:
- Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas
- Emirates Palace
- Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers
Price: for 2, the night of 8 June 2027, from AED 1,238 on Google Hotels on 5 November 2026.
