A private infinity pool with Dubai Marina behind it
  1. The room to ask for

For a private pool I would ask for a Sky Pool Villa on the Palm side, 118 to 168 m², facing the skyline: 2 returning guests who wrote in August 2025 took one. A third-time guest, writing in November 2025, always books lounge access.

  2. The nights that cost less

Read on 13 October 2026: the cheapest seller asks AED 3,227 a night from 7 to 10 and 13 to 17 December 2026 and AED 5,013 from 6 to 12 June 2027. The dearest night shown: AED 9,526, from 13 to 21 February 2027.

  3. On top of the rate

The rate adds a 10% service charge, the 7% Dubai municipality fee and 5% VAT; the Tourism Dirham, AED 20 per bedroom per night, is collected at check-out. At check-in the hotel asks for AED 2,000 a day, by card or in cash, for incidentals.

  4. At 10.35pm, the fountain

The Skyblaze fountain plays from 7pm until midnight, and each evening at 10.35pm it runs the show made with Tiësto and Tate McRae. For a front-row seat the hotel suggests an outdoor table at Elements Terrace or Estiatorio Milos.

What Atlantis The Royal is

Atlantis The Royal opened on 10 February 2023 on Palm Jumeirah’s crescent, beside the 2008 Atlantis The Palm: Kerzner’s second Atlantis in Dubai, a 193-metre tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox. It has 795 rooms and suites according to the MICHELIN Guide, which gives it 3 Keys, and 760 according to Wikipedia. In 2026 it is 4th on The World’s 50 Best Hotels list.

Every room, from the 55 m² Palmscape up, includes breakfast at Gastronomy’s buffet, unlimited entry to Aquaventure waterpark and the Lost World Aquarium, the kids’ club and the Nobu by the Beach pool with a lounger. Suites add the Royal Club Lounge, with breakfast and drinks all day, and an airport transfer; 44 suites and penthouses have a private pool, up to the 1,128 m² Royal Mansion.

You eat at Carbone, Estiatorio Milos, Ariana’s Persian Kitchen and Nobu by the Beach, on the sand; Gastronomy serves breakfast from 7am to noon. On 4 October 2026 the official pages showed Cloud 22, the rooftop pool, closed, along with Ling Ling, La Mar, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Seascapes and House of Desserts.

On Google it scores 4.7 out of 5 from 7,677 reviews, 4.8 on Tripadvisor and 9.2 on Booking.com. Of the 1,592 Google reviews of the last 12 months, 1,386 give 5 stars: guests praise the big rooms, the view, Gastronomy’s buffet and the kids’ club. Guests also describe waits at check-in and, at times, for room service, and a busy buffet at breakfast; in 2026 Cloud 22 and 5 other venues were closed.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 16 February 2026 to 4 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Dubai: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 4 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
