If the heat doesn’t scare you, I’d go to Dubai in summer: from June to August a 4-star starts at AED 285 a night for 2, against AED 471 in January. A 5-star goes from AED 622 in June to AED 1,137 in March.

Where I’d sleep in Dubai, from the guide

At a 5-star yes, AED 1,137 against AED 1,014. At a 4-star the 2 months cost about the same.

And if the heat does scare you?

I’d look at November, warm without the summer’s heavy air: AED 355 at a 4-star, before prices climb in December.

What the figure includes

A typical night is the middle hotel: half cost more, half less. Each price is the lowest any seller showed for one night for 2 adults, with taxes and fees as that seller lists them. Ask whether the Tourism Dirham is on top: it’s charged by the room and the night, often at check-out. And ask which room it buys and whether you can cancel.
