I would ask for the Springs Villa for its 139 m², private garden and dual rain showers, with indoor and outdoor sitting areas for the hours between walks.
For a short stay, 6–9 November 2026 shows $906–$922 a night for 2 adults in the 16 October reading; the dearest nights shown, 23 and 30 December 2026, reach $3,672.
Standard rates carry 13% VAT; gala dinners are compulsory on 24 and 31 December, when departures are also barred. I would ask about those dinner costs before confirming a festive stay.
For dinner at Amor Loco or a spa appointment, the hotel recommends booking at least 2–3 weeks before arrival: availability follows prior requests. I would make those plans before leaving home.
Springs is the adults-only part of a group of 3 neighbouring Nayara hotels. Relais & Châteaux lists 35 villas; the hotel’s current catalogue has a single category, the 139 m² Springs Villa. A four-poster king bed, twin rain showers in the private garden, indoor and outdoor sitting areas and a mineral-spring-fed plunge pool give you plenty of reasons to spend a morning at home.
A Springs booking also opens the facilities and restaurants at Nayara Gardens and Nayara Tented Camp, according to the hotel FAQ. You can take an excursion in the Arenal region or simply follow the Perezoso trail, looking for sloths in the guarumo trees. After dark, naturalists lead a frog-watching walk through the grounds. The rainforest provides the programme, with sightings left to luck.
At dinner, Amor Loco puts Costa Rican ingredients into a tasting menu; Mis Amores serves Italian cooking, wood-fired pizzas and pasta finished beside the table, with views towards the volcano. Bésame Mucho supplies a private dining room, chef and server. The spa carries the same sense of being outdoors into treatment pavilions among the trees, using coffee, chocolate and volcanic mud.
The villa’s included breakfast, laundry and minibar selection make a tangible difference after a muddy hike; wine and spirits are excluded from the minibar benefit. Allow separately for dinners, excursions and treatments. The linked spa list, read on 16 October 2026, charges $180 for a 60-minute Nayara Unwind & Relax massage, before tax.
