The resort sits on the hills above Barga, within a much larger estate. It is a base for lingering, not a hotel from which you step straight into the historic centre: plan your transport if you want to explore Barga and the valley.
Its strength is the way you can alternate indoors and out. The spa and heated indoor pool make staying in appealing even in bad weather; the outdoor pool is seasonal, listed by the hotel from 1 May to 30 September. La Veranda, Le Salette and Nour Lounge serve different moments of the day, but check availability and hours for your dates.
When choosing a room, we would not stop at the word ‘Deluxe’. Ask whether the particular room available has a balcony and a valley view: the official gallery shows different layouts.
