At Trisara I would begin with the villa and dinner, leaving the hours between tables open. For a holiday built mainly around the spa, I would first establish which of the new facilities will be available on my dates.

All about Trisara (1)

Without that confirmation, I would choose another resort.

Is it for you?

For two, I would give the villa a real part of the day, between a swim and a book. If you leave early each morning and return only to sleep, consider how much of this space you will use.

The PRU dining room
  1. Choose the named villa

For a residence, I would have its name or number written into the quotation. A category can contain different houses, and the group should see the one it is booking.

  2. Evenings with a table

If PRU is part of the reason for coming, I would settle the day before booking flights. A short stay gives you only a few evenings to arrange.

  3. When to go out on the water

I would choose a boat morning around the sea and leave the other hours open. Time at the villa is already part of the trip.

What Trisara is

Trisara’s accommodation consists of suites, pool villas and private residences spread through coastal gardens. The first suit couples and smaller families, while residences reach 10 bedrooms. For a group, the important decision is how much house you want to share before settling the number of bedrooms.

Dinner offers 2 different approaches to local cooking. Thai Library follows southern Thai recipes, with herbs, spices and seasonal ingredients. PRU focuses on Thai ingredients and producers, bringing the kitchen close to the dining table. I would arrange one of these dinners before filling the evenings with trips out.

Days can stay between the beach and villa or take you out by boat. The sea sets part of the programme. The resort’s season for included watersports deserves attention alongside the month with the appealing room price.

How we choose the hotels

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do Trisara’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. One guest describes a peaceful hillside stay, using a car or motorcycle to travel beyond the resort.

  2. Room

The pool, space and sunset appealed to one guest, who also requested and received a room change for a different outlook.

  3. Staff and service

8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. After a difficult start, one guest says the Guest Relations team turned the stay around.

  4. Breakfast

One guest remembers the breakfast choice and drip coffee, while another describes breakfast as a pleasure of the stay.

  5. Price

One guest praises the restaurants and pool but finds drinks very expensive, a detail to consider when planning spending during the stay.

76 guests said so on Google, from 3 December 2024 to 25 October 2026. Stored Google reviews dated from 5 November 2024. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in Phuket: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 5 November 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

Good to know before you book

  • A guest on 19 October 2026 reported works at the spa, reception and some villas. The resort acknowledged the disruption and the spa renewal. For a wellness-led holiday, establish facility availability and the effect of any works on your stay dates.

  • Ocean View Pool Junior Suite cannot take an extra bed. With a child, compare another category and have the bed confirmed before booking.

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui

I’d come to spend a few days in the villa, with time down at the beach and dinner already settled. A trip built around walking out to bars and restaurants each evening needs a base closer to the island’s nightlife.

I cortili del Four Seasons Bangkok

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River

I’d book this for days that leave some time for the hotel: a Cantonese dinner, a drink at BKK Social Club and another swim. If walking between shopping malls is your priority, choose Siam; this stay begins down by the river.

Shangri-La Bangkok

Shangri-La Bangkok

I’d stay here to use the ferries and SkyTrain, then return for dinner on the river without another taxi. If you want an intimate hotel with few bedrooms, look elsewhere: Shangri-La’s 802 rooms belong to a different scale of stay.

A poolside sala at The Peninsula Bangkok

The Peninsula Bangkok

I’d choose it for a trip centred on the river: come back from the heat, swim, then eat at Thiptara beneath a teakwood sala. If you want to walk straight out into Silom’s business district, choose the opposite bank; this is Khlong San.

Chatham Bars Inn’s grounds and bay

I would come in summer, when the beach and boating can fill a day without much planning. Choose the building carefully if you want dinner close to your room: the historic inn and cottages spread across the grounds.

21 House of Stories Navigli

I would come for a Navigli weekend with room for a morning’s work. If the trip centres on a spa or stepping straight out into the fashion district, I would start with another address.
