For 2, I would ask for the Water Villa, with glass floor panels and no pool. A returning guest writing in September 2022 recommends the Grand Pool Villa after trying the room categories with children.

Atmosphere Kanifushi opened on 15 December 2013 (Dreaming of Maldives) on Kanifushi island in Lhaviyani Atoll, 35 minutes by seaplane from Malé (official site). The resort puts the island at about 2.8 km long and 90 metres wide (Kanifushi Plan brochure); its shoreline measures 6 km on OpenStreetMap. You get about by bicycle, which is charged, or by the island shuttles (villas).
The 162 villas come in 9 types: 34 Sunset Beach Villas on the sand, 40 villas over the water, the rest with pools or 2 bedrooms (resort fact sheet). The website gives them 103 to 733 m² (villas); the resort’s fact sheet prints smaller sizes for nearly all, 100 m² for the Sunset Beach Villa against 113.
You eat at The Spice, a buffet with a different theme night every day, à la carte at The Sunset and at Pier Six over the water, and at Just Veg, which the resort calls the first à la carte vegetarian restaurant in the Maldives, with a Jain menu (Just Veg).
