Eri Maldives, in North Malé Atoll: a house reef right round the island, 69 villas and studios a few steps from the sand, 45 minutes by speedboat from Malé
Eri suits couples who want meals settled in advance: full board or all-inclusive, with Google’s lowest seller showing one night taken alone from $382 for 2 adults. Choose elsewhere for a holiday built around a different restaurant each evening.

I would ask for a Sunset Beach Villa: 45 m², with a private outdoor terrace and loungers, direct beach access and evenings looking over the lagoon as the sun goes down.
The lower November week
From 4 to 10 November 2026, one night taken alone ranged from $382 to $394 for 2 adults; 6 January 2027 reached $1,090, in the Google reading of 12 October 2026.
Budget for the speedboat
From 1 November 2026, budget $185 per adult aged 12 or over for the return speedboat transfer, taxes included; this is the crossing to add when comparing the cost of your stay.
Borrow the snorkelling gear
Book direct on all-inclusive to borrow masks, snorkels and fins free; the direct-booking benefits also include a romantic beach dinner for stays of 7 nights or more.
What Eri is
Eri Maldives has Eriyadhu to itself, an island on the north-western corner of North Malé Atoll, about 42 km from Velana airport. Until 2025 it was Eriyadu Island Resort; it reopened under its new name on 30 November 2025 after its villas and public areas were renovated, and Pulse Hotels & Resorts runs it. Google Hotels rates it 4 stars. You can walk right round it in about 12 minutes, one guest wrote in February 2026.
The reason to come is under the water. The reef runs all the way round the shore, and the official site has named 15 turtles that live on it; guests in 2026 describe white-tip and black-tip reef sharks, nurse sharks, eagle rays and octopus seen while swimming from the beach. Of the 162 Google reviews with text written since the reopening, 145 give 5 stars.
Everything else is simple: meals are at Soul Kitchen, buffet at lunch and dinner, and anyone who wants a different restaurant each evening will be happier elsewhere. The 45 m² villas are all on land, with walk-in showers, and treatments and extras carry a 10% service charge and 17% GST.

The scores come from 162 Google reviews with text, left from 8 December 2025 to 3 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in North Malé Atoll: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 7 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The other islands to consider
Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi suits an all-inclusive holiday with the Lohis surf break and a 25-minute speedboat crossing. Summer Island adds the option of a villa over the water to a North Malé island holiday.
The island’s only restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with tables inside and out among the greenery. The buffet mixes Maldivian, Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes, with a wood-fired pizza oven and a children’s menu. There is sand underfoot at the tables, as one guest noted in August 2026.
The main bar stands above the lagoon beside the infinity pool: juices and smoothies by day, cocktails and wine in the evening, and all-inclusive guests drink there from 10am to midnight. On the beach is the Beach Shack, a striped counter under a thatched roof.
Double rooms for massage, with yoga and meditation on the sand or in the pavilions at dawn. The menu starts at $100 for a 60-minute Balinese massage and reaches $175 for the 90-minute Eskape Journey, plus service charge and GST.
The dive centre is run by Euro-Divers, a PADI 5-star centre, and takes boats to more than 30 sites: Bird Island and Lucky Rock 20 minutes away, Finger Point 30, where divers count up to 20 grey reef sharks. From January to April the mantas visit Bodu Hithi Thila, 50 minutes away.
Good to know before you book
There is one restaurant, Soul Kitchen, and meals are buffets. Between April and August 2026, 5 Google reviews say the dishes come round again on a longer stay, and 9, between December 2025 and September 2026, find the buffet varied: for a change there are pizza from the wood-fired oven and a private dinner on the beach, which is booked separately.
The shared speedboat costs $175 per adult return until 31 October 2026 and $185 from 1 November, taxes included; the seaplane costs $425 return from 1 November and flies only in daylight. Children under 2 travel free.
The beaches differ. In front of the main building the shore is stony, and the sunset side, where the Sky Studios are, is windier, with some coral where you walk in; the easiest beach, by guests’ accounts from September 2026, is on the sunrise side, where you can walk out to the edge of the reef.
The official site’s rates exclude tax, while Google Hotels’ figures include it. The spa, excursions and anything bought on the island carry a 10% service charge and 17% GST.
From 26 December 2026 to 7 January 2027 the official site requires at least 5 nights and allows no departures on 31 December; the New Year’s Eve gala dinner is included in the festive offer’s rate.

Eri Maldives reviews
The platforms’ scores, read on 3 and 6 October 2026, and what guests describe since the reopening.
On 6 October 2026 Google showed 4.4/5 from 738 ratings, 67% of them 5 stars, but the count goes back to 2012, when the island was Eriyadu Island Resort. The figures by theme come from the 162 reviews with text written since 30 November 2025, the day it reopened: 145 with 5 stars and 12 with 4. They are accounts of stays we have not verified.
6 stays described on Google between December 2025 and September 2026.
Google
The day it reopened
In December 2025 a guest describes arriving on the very day the island reopened after the works: pale blue water, a reef full of fish a step away, beach bungalows she calls incredible, and good, varied food.
In February 2026 a guest writes that the reef surrounds the whole island, so you can swim over the shallows in front of the beach or straight over the deep blue, among sharks and turtles. She recommends booking on the resort’s own site for the packages with extras.
In April 2026 a couple in a pool villa found the sea, the room and the restaurant service perfect, but noted building work still going on near the generator, slow service at Sip & Dip and a buffet that never changed, with little fish.
In July 2026 a mother describes the reef, the cool pool on the beach and the bar’s cocktails, and an island her sons loved, with the games room, a football pitch and badminton; the chef moved from Maldivian dishes to pizza.
In August 2026 a guest praises staff who remember everyone’s name, and the cleaning, with stones cleared from the beaches every day. The food can get repetitive, she writes, and prices in dollars with service charge and GST add up.
In September 2026 a couple marked their anniversary with 5 nights: the whole island renovated and well kept, a buffet with many kinds of curry, and the mashuni at breakfast not to be missed. They recommend it for peace and quiet.
The questions people ask before booking Eri, answered from the sources read between 3 and 7 October 2026.
What kind of resort is Eri Maldives?
A 4-star resort, as Google Hotels and Tripadvisor class it, with Eriyadhu, an island in North Malé Atoll, to itself. Until 2025 it was called Eriyadu Island Resort: by guests’ accounts it reopened as Eri on 30 November 2025 after a complete renovation, and the official site gives «C/O Pulse Hotels & Resorts» under its address. The official About page calls it an eco-chic island, with the motto «The Island of Becoming».
There are 68 rooms by the site’s FAQ, but the room pages add up to 69, because the single Beach Suite comes on top; the site uploaded its photographs in August 2026. Between December 2025 and January 2026, 2 guests found some rooms, the spa and the football pitch still being finished, and in April another heard works near the generator.
Which rooms are there, and how big are they?
6 types, all on land, by the accommodation page: 8 Sky Studios of 30 m² upstairs, with a balcony, and 8 Beach Studios of 30 m² on the ground floor, with a terrace on the beach; then the 45 m² villas, meaning 44 Beach Villas among the greenery, 6 on the sunset side and 2 with a private pool; and a single 54 m² Beach Suite with a separate living area.
Every room has air conditioning and a ceiling fan, an indoor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a television, a minibar, a kettle and a safe. There are no water villas. The official booking engine lists 2 guests for the Sky Studios, 3 for the villas and 4 for the suite.
Where is it, and is the island quiet?
On Eriyadhu, in North Malé (Kaafu) Atoll, about 42 km from Velana airport, as the official site puts it; the resort is the only thing on the island, and Tripadvisor places Oblu Select Sangeli about 5 km away. It is a small island, one a guest walked round in 12 minutes.
It is quiet: one restaurant and 2 bars, little entertainment and some live music in the evenings.
How do you get there from Malé, and what does the transfer cost?
By speedboat, 45 minutes from Velana airport, or by seaplane, 15 minutes, in daylight and on request, by the transfers page, which arranges every transfer itself. From 1 November 2026 the shared speedboat costs $185 per adult return and $95 per child aged 2 to 11; the seaplane $220 one way or $425 return; and seaplane one way with the speedboat the other, $315. The rates include tax.
Until 31 October 2026 it costs less: $175 for the speedboat and $398 for the seaplane, both return. Booking.com asks for flight details 7 days ahead and says the transfer is not included in the room price; the site’s flash sale, for bookings made by 14 October 2026, halved the speedboat until 31 October.
Can you arrive by car, or park?
No: Eri is an island with no roads or cars, reached only by the resort’s speedboat or a seaplane, and there is no car park. No source read describes one; on Booking.com «Can I park there?» sits among travellers’ questions with no answer from the resort.
How do you get into the sea?
Straight from the beach: the villas and Beach Studios have direct access to the sand, the accommodation page says, and a guest in April 2026 found a foot shower and 2 loungers at each bungalow. Since the new breakwaters, a guest on a third visit in a row wrote in May 2026, the waves are calm.
The beaches change from side to side, though: stony in front of the main building, with some coral on the sunset side, gentler on the sunrise side, where you can walk out to the edge of the reef, by guests’ accounts from September 2026.
Is there a house reef you can swim to?
Yes, and it is the reason to choose Eri. The coral gardens page says the reef surrounds the whole island and that you step in from the beach, no boat needed; the turtles page introduces 15 turtles that live on it, nearly all hawksbills, among them the first green turtle seen there. Guests in 2026 describe white-tip and black-tip reef sharks, nurse sharks, eagle rays, stingrays and octopus.
All-inclusive guests borrow masks, snorkels and fins free, and on the booking engine stays of 7 nights or more include a 45-minute guided snorkel. House-reef dives are guided or with a buddy, and PADI’s Discover Scuba goes to 12 metres.
What are the pools like?
One shared infinity pool, beside Sip & Dip and on the beach, by the bar’s page, with loungers under parasols among the trees. The private pools are in the 2 Beach Pool Villas, and the Beach Suite’s features list one.
The site gives no size or depth for the shared pool; a guest in July 2026 remembers it as cool.
Is the pool heated, and when is it open?
No official source says whether it is heated or publishes opening hours. Booking.com lists it as open all year, and a guest found it refreshingly cool in July 2026. The sea around the island, the site says, stays between 27 and 30°C in every season.
Where do you eat, and at what times?
At Soul Kitchen, the only restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as buffets, with tables inside and out, by the dining page; for drinks there are Sip & Dip, over the lagoon, and the Beach Shack on the sand. The site publishes no hours: a guest on Tripadvisor in September 2026 gives breakfast from 7 to 10am and lunch from 12.30pm.
The cooking runs from curries to Maldivian fish and pizza from the wood-fired oven, with halal, kosher, vegan and gluten-free dishes, according to Booking.com. Room service runs into the late evening, according to the site.
Which meal plans are there, and what do they include?
Just 2, by the meal plan page. Full Board Plus gives breakfast, lunch and dinner at Soul Kitchen with water, soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee at meals. All-inclusive adds snacks at Sip & Dip at 10am and 4pm, cocktails, mocktails, house wine and draught beer until midnight, tea and 2 bottles of water in the villa each day, snorkelling gear, non-motorised water sports except paddleboards and glass-bottom kayaks, and the gym.
On all-inclusive the Beach Shack pours soft drinks, water and draught beer from 10am to 6pm, according to the all-inclusive offer, edited by the hotel on 8 October 2026 and read on 15 October 2026, as a guest confirmed in September 2026. On the booking engine, for 10 November 2026, both rates also carried a $30 spa credit per adult per stay.
What is the spa like?
Eskape Spa offers massages, wraps, facials, manicures and pedicures with organic products, plus yoga and meditation on the sand, in open pavilions or on the water at sunrise, by the wellness page; its photographs show double treatment rooms with glass doors. The site publishes no floor area and mentions no sauna, steam room or whirlpool.
In January 2026 the spa was still being finished, one guest wrote; by March another found it renovated, and guests in summer 2026 remember the therapists above all.
Is the spa included, is there a charge, and can outside guests use it?
Treatments are charged, with a 10% service charge and 17% GST, by the spa menu. For 10 November 2026 the booking engine included a $30 spa credit per adult per stay, and booking direct on the site brings 10% off. No page publishes a day pass for people staying elsewhere, and the island holds nothing but the resort.
What are the spa’s hours?
The site does not publish them, and treatments are booked through the Eri Hosts, the staff who look after guests; the experiences page advises booking the most popular activities ahead. The gym, by contrast, is open round the clock.
Which treatments are offered, and at what prices?
From the Eskape Spa menu, prices plus service charge and GST: Balinese, aromatherapy, sports and detox massages and lymphatic drainage at $100 for 60 minutes and $140 for 90; the signature Maldivian Ocean Dream and Eskape Journey at $160 and $175 for 90 minutes; the aloe wrap and the facial at $115 for 60 minutes.
The short 30-minute treatments, reflexology, back massage and coconut scrub, cost $80; a manicure $65 and a pedicure $85, a 10-minute foot ritual $20.
Is it good for children?
Yes; the site welcomes families and guests of all ages. The rooms FAQ says the Beach Villas take extra beds and that Beach Studios side by side suit a family; Soul Kitchen has children’s dishes, and babysitting is arranged ahead for a fee. The site publishes no kids’ club; there are a games room with a PS5, table tennis and karaoke, a football pitch and badminton.
Baby cots are not provided for now but can be requested before arrival, and the Beach Villas have room for extra beds, according to the resort’s accommodation FAQ, read on 15 October 2026. Diving starts at 8 with the Bubblemaker, to 2 metres, and certification at 10.
What is there on the island besides the rooms?
By the facilities page: Eskape Spa, the Euro-Divers dive centre, a gym open 24 hours, pitches for football and beach volleyball, a games room, the Epic Finds shop with local crafts, the Snap photo studio, the Co-Create meeting room and a clinic open from 9am to 7pm, with a doctor on call at all hours.
Water sports run from kayaks and paddleboards to windsurfing and catamaran sailing, up to jet skis and wakeboarding; the resort also runs a dolphin cruise and visits to nearby local islands, at a charge.
What offers are there?
The offers page, read on 7 October 2026, listed 5, at up to 40% off: the flash sale for bookings made by 14 October 2026 for stays from 1 November to 30 September 2027, the year-end getaway until 23 December, the advance purchase from 11 January to 31 October 2027, the all-inclusive offer and, at 30%, the festive one from 24 December to 10 January.
Booking direct brings 10% off the spa, 15% off excursions and non-motorised sports and, from 7 nights, a dinner on the beach; all-inclusive bookings add unlimited drinks and snorkelling gear; honeymooners with a marriage certificate get fruit, sparkling wine and a decorated bed from 3 nights.
Can you marry at Eri?
Yes, in a symbolic ceremony with no legal force, as the wedding brochure makes clear. There are 3 packages, Waves of Love at $1,650, Eternal Love at $1,950 and Ocean Kiss at $2,350, plus service charge and GST, with a beach arch, a celebrant, bodu beru drummers, a cake and photographs; a stay of at least 2 nights is required.
Among the extras, a sunset cruise costs $500 per couple and fireworks $15,000. The brochure gives no guest capacity, and Booking.com says parties and events are not allowed.
Is there a New Year’s Eve dinner?
Yes: on 31 December the 2026–2027 festive brochure has a gala dinner from 6pm on the beach at Sip & Dip, with live cooking and music, then the countdown and a beach party from 10.30pm to 1.30am with fireworks. The festive offer says the gala dinner supplements for adults and children are included in its rate; the supplement’s price is not published.
Over the holidays the site requires at least 5 nights between 26 December and 7 January and lets no one leave on the 31st. Christmas Eve brings an evening at Sip & Dip, and on the 25th Father Christmas arrives by jet ski.
Is there golf?
No: no official page mentions golf. The island offers snorkelling, diving, water sports, football, beach volleyball and badminton, and boat trips for dolphins, sunset fishing and a sandbank, by the experiences page.
When is it open, and when is the best season?
All year: the site announces no closures and says you can dive in every month. On Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026, 103 of the 117 nights from 7 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 had a price; 14 October and the nights from 26 December to 7 January did not, the latter being the dates for which the site requires a minimum stay of 5 nights.
For mantas, the diving page says, the season runs from January to April, when they visit Bodu Hithi Thila. In August 2026 a guest had sun almost every day, with 2 downpours of 20 minutes and of an hour.
How much is a night?
Historical individual-night quotes: Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026, 2 adults, one night, taxes and fees included: $338 on 7 October 2026, $280 on 9 October, $513 on 20 October, $365 on 7 November, $387 on 10 November, $454 on 27 November, $365 on 17 December, $1,001 on Christmas Eve, 24 December, $497 on 8 January 2027 and $549 on 20 January 2027. Booked as 7 nights from 16 November 2026, the lowest seller Google listed that day asked $454 a night.
In that historical reading of 6 October 2026: of the 117 nights read, 103 had a price, from $280 to $1,001; the calendar shows the lowest price without naming the room or the plan. On 7 October the lowest figure, $338, was Hotels.com’s. On 14 October and from 26 December to 7 January there was no price for a single night. The transfer is extra.
What do the reviews say?
On 6 October 2026 Google showed 4.4/5 from 738 ratings; on 3 October Tripadvisor gave 4.3/5 from 1,853, with a Travellers’ Choice 2026 award, and Booking.com 9.3/10 from 52, with comfort at 9.8, cleanliness at 9.6 and value for money at 9.0. On Google and Tripadvisor the count includes the Eriyadu years.
Since the reopening the ratings are high: of the 162 Google reviews with text, 145 give 5 stars, and 91% of those who mention the staff praise them, as do 90% of those who mention the location and the rooms. The reef a few steps off the beach, with its turtles and sharks, the renovated villas and waiters who remember names and habits recur; on the bill guests write that a 10% service charge and 17% GST are added to the spa, excursions and extras, and on the buffet that the dishes come round again on a longer stay.
What taxes and charges are added?
On the official booking engine, for 10 November 2026, a Sky Studio on full board cost $301 a night before tax, while Google Hotels gave $387 for the same night: $301 plus a 10% service charge and 17% GST comes to $387. That day the all-inclusive rate started at $416, also before tax.
The spa, excursions, bar extras and shopping carry the same 10% plus 17%. The transfers, by contrast, include tax. A guest in April 2026 counted €12 a person a day in tax, a figure the site does not give; Booking.com asks for payment in advance by bank transfer.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2pm. For check-out the accommodation page gives 2 times: 11am in its header, noon in its FAQ, which Booking.com and Google also give. The site’s rates offer a 2pm departure when there is room, and on arrival you show an ID and the credit card used to book.
