What Mandarin Oriental Pudong is

Bedrooms differ mainly by their outlook: city, river, or both from corner suites. The windows do not all face the same Shanghai; ask which stretch of the view belongs to the category you are paying for.

Yong Yi Ting cooks Jiang Nan food. Fifty 8° Grill offers a different dinner, while Qi Bar and Riviera Lounge cover cocktails and afternoon tea. You can plan more than one evening without repeating the same table.

Alongside the bedrooms are apartments with kitchens, from studios to 3-bedroom layouts. Apartments are booked by email enquiry with the hotel. For a long stay, I’d look there first: coming back from a market with something to cook can change a trip more than another formal sitting room.
