Constance Halaveli is a small island in North Ari Atoll, 25 minutes by seaplane from Malé, where every villa has its own pool, out on the jetty or in a garden by the beach.
For couples who want dinner over the water at Jing, with the lowest seller on Google showing nights for 2 adults from $815. If settling every expense before departure matters more, choose a stay that includes spa treatments and the transfer.

For 2, I would ask for a Water Villa, with its own pool and a bath by the terrace windows. Its official room description also allows children under 13.
The week in May
In the calendar read on 12 October 2026, each night from 9 to 15 May 2027 was $815 for 2 adults. The dearest nights shown, from 27 December to 7 January, were $2,800.
Add the seaplane fare
Budget for the seaplane between Malé and the resort as well as the villa: the return transfer is $650 per adult and $360 per child aged 2–11.
Wednesday on the court
Keep Wednesday free for the complimentary adult tennis clinic; rackets and balls are supplied during play. There is also a free children’s clinic on Saturday, on the floodlit synthetic court.
What Constance Halaveli is
The resort’s fact sheet has the island shaped like a curved dhoni, the Maldivian boat; a guest in January 2025 walked round it in about 15 minutes. Days here turn on the villa and its pool, the reef and 3 restaurants at night, and review after review ends in a list of staff thanked by name. It is an older resort, 16 years old according to a guest in June 2025, and has been under refurbishment since 2025. One guest in February 2026 found the overwater villas newly done; ask before booking whether yours is among them.
On 5 October 2026 Google Hotels showed, among its sellers, for 2 adults on 16–19 November 2026, taxes and fees included: Trip.com at US$1,158 a night and Booking.com at US$1,486, both with free cancellation until 16 October, Booking.com’s sponsored listing adding breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Google names neither the villa nor the meals, and the seaplane is a separate charge. The same day’s calendar put a night at US$2,800 from 27 December to 9 January and from US$815 in June 2027.
The Water Villa is the one guests describe: 2 walk-in wardrobes, a bath set at the terrace windows and a 3 × 4 m pool on a deck with steps down to the sea, as a guest in villa 49 wrote in January 2025. On the beach, a Beach Villa sits in 350 m² of garden; the Family Beach adds a children’s room, the Double Storey a floor and the Two Bedroom a second bedroom. The resort’s areas count the deck or the garden and leave the indoor space unstated.
Dinner is a choice of 3: the Jahaz buffet, with a different theme each night, the grill at Meeru with your feet in the sand, or Jing, over the water, where shoes are expected. 2 guests, in December 2025 and September 2026, advise booking Meeru and Jing as soon as you arrive. The spa stands on stilts and its treatments are charged even on all inclusive; a guest in May 2025 called theirs the most expensive couples massage of their lives, and a very luxurious one.

Lumina Guide 2027
At Constance Halaveli, in North Ari Atoll, the villas come with a private pool, in a garden by the beach or out on the jetty; the spa stands over the water and Jing serves dinner on the jetty.

The stay as a whole
Snorkelling with kit the resort lends, then wine chosen with a sommelier; the seaplane, the spa and diving go on the bill.
What makes it rare
A badge is an experience travellers look for, that is really here and that few hotels in the guide have.
Here: Jing, Asian and European, lays its tables on the jetty over the water; Meeru is the grill on the sand, Kaika serves sushi at lunch, Jahaz is the buffet.
166 of the 175 guests who write about the food are pleased. 30 hotels of 335 hold it.
What do Constance Halaveli’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Location
The island is small enough to walk round, ringed by white beaches with warm shallows; from the villas’ jetty and on the house reef guests watch fish and reef sharks.
Room
Guests write of the Water Villas, roomy and with a private pool facing the sea, and of villas the team keeps clean day after day.
Staff and service
Every guest who mentions it is happy with it. Guests remember villa hosts, waiters and barmen by name, and write of the sommeliers, the spa treatments and the dive centre.
Breakfast
Breakfast is a buffet at Jahaz, the main restaurant, from 7:00 to 10:30.
Price
Guests who describe the all-inclusive package remember the wines, chosen with the sommeliers, and a minibar refilled every day.

The scores come from 42 Google reviews with text, left from 24 January 2025 to 21 September 2026. The study covers 42 text reviews dated between January 2025 and September 2026, during the owner’s reported 2025–26 renovation programme. This calendar window does not establish a reopening date. The sources read do not publish the completion day or establish that these reviews describe the resort after the works finished. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives, with differences between North Ari, South Ari and Baa: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 6 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

Villas, paths and lagoon on film
Five clips from three travellers. Slow Travel with Jay films the view from a Water Villa’s deck in January 2025 and, in a clip posted in October 2025, a ray among the fish of the lagoon. HushedHorizons goes into the Water Villa’s bathroom in September 2023; Sea to Suite Travel walks the green passage to a Beach Villa and films a plate of eggs, both in 2023. The clips published between 2023 and 2025 do not document conditions after the refurbishment programme planned for 2025–26.

What to expect
Between garden and jetty
Every villa comes with a pool of its own. A Water Villa looks out to sea from its deck, with steps into the lagoon; Beach and Family Beach Villas have a private garden by the shore. A guest in August 2026 watched fish and sharks from the villas’ walkway, and had a heron fly down to bathe in their pool.
Dinner over the water
Jing serves Asian and European cooking above the lagoon, at dinner only, 7.30–10.30pm, on days that can change: 36 seats indoors and 14 on the terrace. The dress code, which the resort calls Island Chic, means shoes. On all inclusive you hold one reservation at a time; Jahaz, Meeru and Kaika keep their own hours.
A pause at the overwater spa
The spa stands on stilts, its treatment rooms looking over the lagoon, with a sauna, a steam room, hot and cold plunge pools and a deck to rest on. Treatments are charged; the website gives 10am–8pm, the brochure 11am–8pm. The sauna and pools are for spa guests of 16 and over, unless a parent brings a younger one in for a treatment.
Time at the shore
White sand all the way round, palms, loungers and parasols, with drinks and snacks brought to the beach from 10.30am to 6pm. The shallows are warm, a guest wrote in January 2025; the resort’s own map warns that currents can be strong.

The resort’s fact sheet counts 87 villas and the FAQ on its German site 86, with 57 of them over the water. That FAQ calls 20 of the 57 Family Water Villas, a type for which the sources read give no plan, size, beds, occupancy or photograph.
Constance began refurbishing Halaveli in 2025 and expects to finish in 2026, without naming a day. A guest in June 2025 mentions renovations under way, with their own villa in very good shape.
The resort’s map warns that currents in the water can be strong. Snorkelling kit is lent free; diving, extra boat trips and motorised water sports are charged.
From Malé it is about 25 minutes by seaplane, flown by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), or 90 minutes by speedboat. The seaplane needs an international arrival before 3.30pm; the TMA terminal is open 6am–5pm and the wait, in Constance’s own lounge, runs from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Land later and, by the fact sheet, you spend the night in Malé at a hotel you book yourself. An international flight home before 9am means leaving the island the evening before. For awkward hours the resort also has Funa, a 15-seat speedboat that runs by night as well as by day: ask for it. The seaplane allowance is 20 kg plus 5 kg of hand luggage; excess is paid to TMA, at US$5 a kilo on the fact sheet, plus GST, 17% for tourism services, domestic flights included, since 1 July 2025 (MIRA, read on 15 October 2026). Booking.com lists the return seaplane at US$650 per adult and US$360 per child aged 2–11; it is charged on all inclusive too; the airport bus and the lounges are free.

Constance Halaveli: reviews and comparisons
We read the 42 Google reviews with a text written between 24 January 2025 and 21 September 2026, the years of the refurbishment. Every one gives 5 stars.
On 5 October 2026 Google showed 4.9/5 from 560 ratings. Of the 42 reviews with a text, 28 from 2025 and 14 from 2026, 36 talk about the staff and services, 18 about the location, 18 about the villas, 3 about the bill and one about breakfast. What comes back is people: villa hosts, waiters and sommeliers named one by one, then dinner at Jing, Jahaz’s themed evenings and the wine. The few misgivings come inside 5-star reviews: damaged coral and steep spa prices in May 2025, a resort one guest in February 2025 allows is not the newest.
A honeymoon couple note that the resort is 16 years old and that some renovation was going on, with their own villa in very good shape. They remember the Indian Ocean night at the Jahaz buffet, steak and fish at Meeru, and the sommeliers who chose their wines at every lunch and dinner.
A roomy Water Villa with 2 walk-in wardrobes. The reef is quite damaged, the guest writes, yet still good snorkelling: blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, nurse sharks and rays. Spa treatments were very expensive: the dearest couples massage of their lives, and a luxurious one.
What are this hotel's restaurant, bar and breakfast like (cuisine, hours, half board, booking)?
There are 4 restaurants and 2 bars. Jahaz, the main one, serves breakfast 7–10.30am, lunch 12.30–3pm and dinner 7–10.30pm, with a buffet that changes theme every evening. Jing, over the water, does Asian and European cooking at dinner only, 7.30–10.30pm on the website and from 7pm on the fact sheet, and asks for Island Chic dress, shoes included. Meeru is the grill on the sand, 7–10.30pm; opening days at both can vary. Kaika serves sushi at lunch, noon–3pm, 6 days a week. Jahaz Bar is open 10.30am–midnight and Jing Bar from 6.30pm until late. All inclusive covers the Jahaz buffets and à la carte dinners at Meeru and Jing; Kaika is extra. The fact sheet’s introduction says 3 restaurants, then describes 4. Menus carry vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes; the resort asks to be told of allergies through the concierge, and a guest in January 2026 wrote that theirs were handled with care.
What is this hotel's spa like (size, zones, sauna, steam room, facilities)?
Constance Spa stands on stilts above the sea: 4 single and 4 double treatment rooms, a yoga room, a sauna, a steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, a deck to rest on and the Ocean Salon for hair and nails. It works with its own range and with Sisley. The sources read give no floor area. The prices it has online sit in a list with 2022 in its name: for a 2026 stay, treat them as a rough guide; the treatment brochure is undated and gives no prices. The fact sheet lists 8 treatment rooms, while the owner’s 2025 annual report counts 9.
How much does a night cost at this hotel (for the dates or month), and what does that price include?
For 2 adults and 1 night, the Google Hotels calendar read on 5 October 2026 gave US$944 for 16–17 October 2026, US$1,158 for 16–17 November and US$1,270 for 1–2 May 2027; the peak, US$2,800, ran from 27 December to 9 January. It had a price for 325 nights and none for 66, all of them from 27 August 2027 on. Google does not say which villa, which meals or which taxes those figures cover.
For 16–19 November 2026, read the same day for 2 adults, Google showed Trip.com at US$1,158 a night and Booking.com at US$1,486, taxes and fees included, each with free cancellation until 16 October; Booking.com’s sponsored listing also showed breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Those are Google’s labels: the seller’s own terms are what bind, and neither line names the villa, full board or the seaplane. A second reading that day, through another Google channel, gave US$1,260. We have no direct rate from the resort for the same nights.
What kind of hotel is this (stars, brand or collection, history, size, number of rooms, renovation)?
The sources read do not give its opening year; a guest in June 2025 put its age at 16. It is a 5-star in North Ari Atoll, one of Constance Hotels & Resorts’ properties. The fact sheet and the owner’s 2025 annual report count 87 villas: 57 Water, 9 Beach, 11 Family Beach, 8 Double Storey Beach, 1 Two Bedroom Beach and 1 Presidential Beach Villa. The FAQ on the German site counts 86, omits the Two Bedroom and splits the overwater villas into 37 Water and 20 Family Water, a type for which the sources read give no plan, size, beds, occupancy or photograph. A refurbishment began in 2025 and the owner expects to complete it in 2026; it names no day.
What do guests say about this hotel (reviews, ratings), and is it worth it?
Can you hold a wedding or a private event at this hotel, for how many guests and at what cost?
Yes. The resort offers weddings on the beach, over the water or under the palms, and renewals of vows with a wedding planner. The overview and fact sheet give no prices, guest numbers, inclusions or cancellation terms, and do not establish whether a ceremony is legally binding: get those in writing before fixing a date.
What is this hotel's pool like (indoor or outdoor, size, view, infinity edge, thermal water)?
Each of the 6 villa types has its own: 3 × 4 m at a Water Villa, 3 × 5 m at the Beach, Family Beach and Double Storey, 10 × 3.75 m at the Presidential; the Two Bedroom Beach has 2 facing the ocean, with no dimensions given. The shared pool lies between Jahaz Restaurant and Jahaz Bar, with loungers and cabanas according to a guest in January 2025, and poolside service runs 9am–6pm. The sources read give no depth or temperature and do not mention a lifeguard.
Is spa access included in the room rate at this hotel, is there a fee, and can outside guests use it (day pass)?
Treatments are charged, on all inclusive too; what that package does give is free use of the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The spa brochure keeps the sauna and pools for spa guests of 16 and over, unless a parent brings a younger guest in for a treatment, and children aged 6–16 can have one between 10am and 4pm. Cancel with less than 4 hours’ notice and you pay 50%, miss the appointment and you pay 100%, and a late arrival still ends on time. One couple, in September 2026, wrote that the spa came with their package. The sources read do not say whether guests from outside the island are admitted, and the brochure carries no date.
What are this hotel's rooms and suites like (views, terrace, size, bath, fireplace, air conditioning)?
For 2, it is water or sand. The Water Villa, with a 100 m² deck, takes 2 adults with 2 children under 13 or a third adult on the website, and 1 extra bed on the fact sheet. The Beach Villa, in 350 m² of garden, is for 2, plus 1 child under 13 and 1 infant by the fact sheet. The Family Beach Villa, 375 m² on the website, is 350 m² of garden with a 25 m² kids’ room: 2 adults and 2 children, under 13 by the website and under 12 by the fact sheet. The Double Storey Beach Villa, in 410 m² of garden, includes 4 people and admits a fifth under 18 for a supplement. The Two Bedroom Beach Villa runs to 508 m² of villa and garden, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 pools and a shared lounge; the text promises king-size beds, the plan shows one double and one twin. The Presidential, 700 m², sleeps 6 adults and 3 children under 12 in extra beds. Of the Family Water Villa, 20 of them by the German FAQ, the sources read give nothing more.
Is this hotel open on the travel dates? When does its season open and close?
One guest describes a stay during the works that began in 2025; reviews were published through September 2026, but their dates do not establish uninterrupted operation, and the owner’s annual report, which expects completion in 2026, mentions neither a closure nor a reopening. Google Hotels’ calendar, read on 5 October 2026, had prices from October 2026 to August 2027. For stays of 12–16 October 2026 the resort advertises a special programme around its renewed spaces and a new menu at Jing. If a refurbished villa matters, ask before you book.
Where exactly is this hotel (address, neighbourhood), and is the area quiet or noisy?
On Halaveli, an island in North Ari Atoll, 25 minutes from Malé by seaplane; the address is Alifu Alifu Atoll, Halaveli 09130, Republic of Maldives. It is small: a guest in January 2025 walked round it in about 15 minutes. Guests in 2025 and 2026 call it calm and peaceful, and 2 in 2025 write of how green it is; one, in April 2026, had the very last villa and wrote of the privacy and the stars. While the works last, due to end in 2026, ask how far they have reached around the villa you choose.
Does this hotel host a New Year's Eve dinner or gala (menu, programme, entertainment)?
The resort pages read on 6 October 2026 carried no complete programme for 31 December 2026 and no price for a gala dinner. On Google Hotels’ calendar, read on 5 October 2026, nights from 27 December to 9 January stood at US$2,800 for 2 adults, against US$1,158 until 22 December; 23 and 24 December cost US$1,935, 25 December US$1,766 and 26 December US$1,741; Google does not say whether a dinner is in that figure.
Does this hotel have parking, a garage or valet parking?
You will not need one: Halaveli is reached from Malé by seaplane or speedboat, and you get about the island on foot. For leaving a car at Velana airport, ask the airport; the resort says nothing on it.
Does this hotel have access to the sea or the lake (private beach, beach club, platform), and how far is the beach?
From a beach villa you step from the garden onto the sand; from a Water Villa, steps lead off the deck into the lagoon, as guests wrote in January and May 2025. The shallows are warm (a guest, January 2025), and another in April 2025 likened the sea to a swimming pool, the coral running out to the drop-off. The resort’s map marks areas for snorkelling, for privacy and for non-motorised water sports, and warns that currents can be strong.
Does this hotel offer golf packages or green fee discounts?
The resort’s fact sheet lists neither a golf course nor a green-fee package. What it does list is a gym, tennis with rackets and balls provided, beach volleyball, beach football, table tennis, diving and water sports.
Does this hotel have special offers or packages (other than golf, romance, New Year or event packages)?
2 were on the website on 6 October 2026, one of them already over. “Holidays in Maldives” took up to 35% off the villa on bed and breakfast from 9 May to 30 September 2026: the website rate already carried the discount, meal supplements, Green Tax and the seaplane were excluded, and neither a name change nor cancelling to rebook was allowed. It asked 50% on confirmation and 50% on arrival; cancellation was free up to 30 days before arrival, 50% from 29 days to 1, and 100% on the day or for a no-show. The Seasonal Halaveli All-Inclusive Extra applies only to all-inclusive stays of 12–16 October 2026: on the 13th a signature cocktail at Jing Bar and a dinner at Jing described by the resort as “Michelin-starred”, on the 14th a wine tasting on a sandbank, sea and weather allowing, on the 15th a spritz at the new Beach Hut. Each is included once per stay, by reservation and subject to availability, with no exchange or refund; the resort may change times and places or withdraw the offer, which cannot be combined with others unless stated.
What are this hotel's spa or pool opening hours, and do you need to book?
The spa opens 10am–8pm according to the website and 11am–8pm according to the fact sheet and the brochure, always by appointment, so confirm the hour when you book. Arrive late and the treatment still ends on time; cancelling inside 4 hours costs 50%, not turning up 100%. Service at the main pool runs 9am–6pm. The gym is open 24 hours with the villa key card, and the wellness team is on hand 6am–9pm.
Is this hotel's pool heated, at what temperature, and is it open in the travel month or season?
The sources read do not say whether the villa pools or the main pool are heated, and give no seasonal closure. The spa has hot and cold plunge pools, with no temperatures stated.
What does this hotel offer overall (amenities and services, official information), with no single topic?
Free Wi-Fi in every villa, a main pool, a gym, free tennis with rackets and balls, 2 boutiques, a courtesy lounge for early arrivals and late departures, and a resident doctor with a clinic open 24 hours. Tennis, fitness and yoga lessons and motorised water sports are charged. Room service runs from 7am to 11pm, according to the official villa pages, read on 15 October 2026. The sources read give nothing on step-free access or adaptations for guests with reduced mobility.
Which treatments and massages does this hotel's spa offer, with which products, at what price?
Massages, facials and body treatments with Sisley products, and rituals for 2 in a couples’ suite. The price list the resort keeps online has 2022 in its file name: a Classic or Balinese massage at US$140 for 60 minutes and US$190 for 90, a 90-minute Couple Massage at US$450, plus service charge and local taxes at rates the list does not give. The sources read give no prices for 2026; a guest in May 2025 found them very high.
How do you get to this Maldives resort from Malé (seaplane, domestic flight, speedboat), how long does it take and what does it cost?
Does this resort have a house reef you can snorkel from the beach or the villa?
Yes: you go in from the beach or down the steps of a Water Villa, with kit the resort lends free. Guests describe blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, nurse sharks and rays over coral that is badly damaged (May 2025), fish and, often, sharks seen from the villas’ walkway (August 2026), and an evening visit from manta rays and sharks (February 2026). Staff point out the best spots and lead the snorkelling trips. The resort’s map warns of strong currents. Diving with the TGI centre, courses, extra trips, lessons and motorised sports are charged, and windsurfing and catamaran sailing require a paid ability test.
What meal plans does this resort offer (breakfast, half board, full board, all-inclusive), and what do they include?
All inclusive is an optional supplement on top of the basic meal plan, taken for the whole stay and by everyone in the villa, children and teenagers included; it runs from arrival on the island to departure, whatever the check-out time. It covers breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Jahaz buffet and à la carte dinners at Meeru or Jing, one reservation at a time: 1 starter, 1 main course and 1 dessert each from the marked dishes, as at any à la carte lunch. Then wines, beers, cocktails and champagne until midnight, afternoon tea, a minibar refilled once a day and, on request, 2 bottles for the villa from vodka, gin and whisky. Each guest has 2 excursions per stay from a choice of 4, with no refund if weather cancels one, plus snorkelling kit and non-motorised water sports. Charged on top, with 10% service and government tax: spa treatments and the boutique, diving, the seaplane, lessons, extra excursions, laundry, Kaika’s sushi, the snack and pool and beach menus, in-villa dining, premium wines and spirits, and drinks at destination dinners. Nothing may be taken away or passed to someone else, and nothing unused is refunded. The sources read give no price for the package.
Is this resort good for children (kids' club, ages, babysitting, children's meals)?
Coconut Tribe takes children aged 4 to 11, 9am to 9pm, with Fredi the manta ray as mascot; you can sign up at any point in the stay. A private babysitter and the children’s menu are charged, and pushchairs and other baby kit are on request. The family villa is the Family Beach, with its kids’ room: 2 adults and 2 children under 13 plus 1 baby under 2 by the website, under 12 by the fact sheet. Ages differ elsewhere: under 13 in the Water and Two Bedroom villas, under 18 in the Double Storey, under 12 in the Presidential. For the Family Water Villa, 20 of them in the German FAQ, the resort publishes neither beds nor occupancy.
What taxes and charges are added to the rate (service charge, GST, green tax)?
The prices Google showed on 5 October 2026 for 16–19 November were per night for 2 adults with taxes and fees included, without a breakdown; its calendar of single nights does not say whether they are in. On the island, whatever falls outside all inclusive carries 10% service plus government tax, at a rate the terms do not give; the 2022 spa list adds service and taxes in the same way. GST on tourism goods and services, seaplane excess baggage included, has been 17% since 1 July 2025 (MIRA, read on 15 October 2026). Green Tax appears among the things the expired summer offer’s discount did not cover: what it adds to a booking is for the resort’s quote to say.
