Bodumas
The overwater restaurant: for the resort a seafood kitchen, with lobster, prawns, ceviche and seared tuna (restaurants); for several guests in September and October 2026 the Japanese one, with sushi and teppanyaki (Google, Accor reviews).
Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa Maldives, the former Mövenpick in Noonu Atoll: every villa has its own pool, 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé.
A week here, month by monthKuredhivaru suits couples and families who want a pool villa at a price that stays reasonable for the Maldives: the lowest price any seller showed on Google for one night is $655 for 2 adults, from 9 April 2027. Anyone who wants a resort free of building work will be happier elsewhere while the overwater villas are renewed.

5 pairs of hotels, and the guide tells you whether this one suits you.
If the beach appeals more than the water, I would ask for the Beach Pool Villa Sunset: 190 m² facing the sunsets. A family on a second stay, writing in November 2025, praises the beach villas for keeping the bathroom away from the children’s room.
Read on 12 October 2026, the cheapest week runs from 28 April to 4 May 2027: each of its 7 nights at $655. The dearest night shown, 6 January 2027, is $1,664, and from 26 December to 5 January the calendar shows no price.
The seaplane is charged apart: Booking.com lists $675 per adult return until 31 October 2026 and $695 from 1 November. For a same-day transfer, Booking.com asks that your international flight lands before 3pm and leaves after 9am.
12 guests, writing between February 2025 and August 2026, mention the chocolate hour, which the offers page gives as daily from 4pm to 5pm and applicable to selected villa categories.
The resort opened in November 2018 as Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives (FAQ, Dreaming of Maldives). Since early 2025 it has been called Kuredhivaru Resort & Spa and is on its way to becoming Mondrian Maldives, the brand of Accor’s Ennismore: the beach villas and residences have already been renewed, the overwater villas follow during 2026 (Dreaming of Maldives).
There are 105 villas: 72 over the water and the rest on the beach (WBP Stars, Hotel Management). The Overwater Pool Villas measure 140 m², the Beach Pool Villas 190, and the residence 230 for up to 8 guests (Accor); every villa has its own pool (Accor).
Meals run from ONU Marché, under its great bamboo roof, with buffet, à la carte and themed nights, to Bodumas over the water and Latitude 5.5 by the pool for sunset; Oak Lounge keeps 260 labels from 15 wine regions (restaurants). Every day from 4 to 5pm there is the chocolate hour (offer).
The sea around is Noonu Atoll’s: Christmas Rock, Raafushi and Orimas Thila are a few minutes away by speedboat (Booking.com). Kuredhivaru is a lagoon island: from the overwater villas you step into the sea, from land you go in at the dive centre (Google). It scores 4.9 out of 5 on Google from 2,745 reviews and 4.9 on Tripadvisor from 2,974, read on 5 October 2026.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 13 July 2025 to 5 October 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 5 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in the Maldives:
