Hadahaa suits those who want to snorkel from the villa on a small island: nights start at $1,027 from 29 June to 5 September 2027, the lowest price any seller showed on Google for one night. Anyone who wants a quick arrival will find the journey long: about 60 minutes by domestic flight, then 30 by speedboat.

  1. The weeks that cost less

In the calendar read on 12 October 2026 the lowest week runs from 28 July to 3 August 2027: $1,054 a night, $1,027 on the last. The dearest, from 31 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, costs $3,563 to $4,014 a night.

  2. On top of the rate

On 4 October 2026 Booking.com listed the Velana return transfer at $690 per adult. The All-Inclusive Rate halves the transfer from 7 consecutive nights, except 20 December to 9 January, and excludes service charges, mandatory resort fees and taxes.

  3. A picnic on another island

3 guests, writing in 2025 and 2026, single out a private picnic on another island. One, in September 2026, says you are dropped there for the day, to a raised bungalow stocked with food and drinks.

What Hadahaa is

The reef circles Hadahaa, with Blue Journeys organising guided exploration, diving and marine-biology activities. Easy shore access does not mean gentle currents or guaranteed wildlife sightings. 7 categories range from the 115 m² Overwater Sunset Villa to the 895m² Kiaali Residence; private pools belong to the categories that specify them. KOI and Island Grill follow particular dinner days: all-inclusive does not open every venue every evening or make galas and every menu item free.

Hadahaa sits in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, in the southern Maldives: about 60 minutes by domestic flight, then 30 by speedboat, at $690 an adult for the return. On the beach, the Deluxe Beach Pool Villa has 265 m² and a 55 m² pool; from the overwater villas, 115 m² facing the sunset, guests tell of climbing down the ladder on to the reef, among blacktip sharks and turtles. Breakfast is in the Dining Room; for dinner Island Grill opens 5 evenings a week and KOI 4. Vidhun Spa has 5 pavilions and the Tranquillity Pool among the trees. It is an island for days spent in mask and fins; families have the 2-bedroom villa, 300 m², and Ocean Lab’s junior activities.

Lumina Guide 2027

Gives more than the other hotels of its place and price range.

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is a small island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll with the reef all the way round: beach and overwater villas, and the marine biologists of Blue Journeys to take you out on it.

How Lumi are awarded
  • Guests

  • Critics

We found KOI on the jetty and the Treehouse above the beach, the 5 pavilions of Vidhun Spa with a pool among the trees and 7 categories of villa, up to the 895 m² Kiaali Residence.

Our reading, point by point

What we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.

  1. Location

A reef surrounds the Gaafu Alifu island; getting here takes a domestic flight, a boat and waiting between them.

  2. Character

Japanese dinner on KOI’s jetty or a private evening in the Treehouse above the beach. The index of 14 dining options includes events and meal plans.

  3. Rooms

7 categories from 115 to 895 m², on the beach, over the water and at Kiaali for 6; some have no pool. Pages differ in how they state the total count.

  4. Food and social life

Dining Room daily, Island Grill 5 evenings and KOI 4; drinks and supplements differ between half board and all-inclusive.

  5. Wellness

5 Vidhun pavilions, the outdoor Tranquillity Pool and a 24-hour gym; check spa access against your package. Pool temperature is not published.

  6. The stay as a whole

Greenery around the villas, reef and days in the water: choose it for these, accepting a long transfer. Currents and wildlife encounters depend on the day.

What makes it rare

A badge is an experience travellers look for, that is really here and that few hotels in the guide have.

  • True quiet

Here: an April 2026 guest praises the silence of an island with no noisy water sports; another, with the resort almost full, rarely saw anyone until dinner.

66 of the 68 guests who write about the quiet are pleased. 14 hotels of 335 hold it.

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do Park Hyatt Hadahaa’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

8 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests describe the reef that runs right round the island, steps from the villa, with blacktip sharks and turtles, and the quiet of an island a long way from Malé.

  2. Room

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests describe villas that are spacious, clean and thoughtfully designed; those over the water tell of climbing down from the villa straight on to the reef.

  3. Staff and service

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Staff are what guests write about most: they thank them by name, from the host who meets them at the airport to the waiters and the dive-centre instructors.

  4. Breakfast

Breakfast is in the Dining Room: a wide buffet, dishes ordered from the menu and stations cooking to order.

  5. Price

5 in 10 guests who mention the price find it fair. Guests happy with the bill write that the journey here is worth the money, and Hyatt members write of the programme’s benefits; à la carte food and drink and the transfer come on top of the rate.

The scores come from 360 Google reviews with text, left from 2 March 2013 to 10 September 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 1 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

The hotels we weigh it against in the Maldives:
