NOOE suits couples and families glad to stay put, from $343 for one night taken alone, 2 adults, from 16 April 2027: the lowest price any seller showed on Google. For lively evenings, look at a bigger island.

  1. The villa to ask for

I would ask for the Duplex Overwater Villa with Private Pool: 119 m² for up to 4, master bedroom upstairs and a large lounge downstairs, so you choose where to spend your time, with a floating breakfast in the plunge pool.

  2. The weeks that cost less

The calendar read on 12 October 2026 puts 25 April to 1 May 2027 at $343 a night, one night taken alone; booked as 7 nights from 16 November, the lowest seller asked $514 a night, the resort’s own listing $554.

  3. On top of the rate

On Booking.com the seaplane is $400 per adult return and the speedboat $250, taxes included, until 23 December 2026; from 24 December 2026 they are $420 and $260.

  4. Seven themed nights at Iru

Iru serves its buffet with 7 themed nights on a weekly rotation. A guest who wrote in July 2025 found Friday’s Maldivian night so much fun that the staff got everyone involved.

What NOOE is

The choice is between sand and water. The Beach Villa and the Sunset Beach Villa are both 62 m² and sleep up to 3, with the beach outside the doors. The Duplex Overwater Villa is 119 m² on 2 floors, bedroom above and lounge below, with a plunge pool on the deck; guests add a glass panel in the floor, through which one family’s children watched eels and nurse sharks (July 2025), and 2 flights of stairs to reckon with (September 2026). For a family or a party of friends, Grand Solana on the beach and Grand Atlantis over the water run to 350 and 370 m², each with 2 bedrooms, a private pool and a Jacuzzi, for up to 6 people. The villa pages give no children’s ages or extra-bed prices: ask before choosing.

The sea is why people come. The resort says the house reef is snorkelled straight from the beach, and a family in a sunset-facing beach villa put it about 30 metres from their door (July 2025). Where the villa stands matters: a couple in October 2025 had coral and fish in front of their overwater villa on the right-hand side, while a guest in September 2025 found shallow water and little life off the villas and the best snorkelling behind the restaurant. The boat trips to nurse sharks, turtles and manta rays are paid for: US$75 plus tax a person for the turtles, one guest wrote in March 2025.

Read the meal plan before the price. There are 4 on the resort’s undated sheet, BB, HB, FB and All Inclusive, and the plan is the same for everyone in the villa for the whole stay, from 2pm on the day you arrive to noon on the day you leave: a couple who reached the island at 11am paid for their first lunch (December 2025). All Inclusive means the 3 buffet meals at Iru, a list of drinks there with meals and at Veli from 11am to midnight, and one dinner at Washoku on a stay of 5–6 nights or 2 from 7. The minibar, drinks off the list and dinner in the villa are always charged, and 3 guests found that drinks are poured at the bar and not brought to the villa (May and June 2025, July 2026). Google’s US$411 names no plan and no transfer: do not read it as an All Inclusive price.

The resort is young. La Vie announced it in May 2023 and Visit Maldives marked its second anniversary in April 2025; a visitor in December 2019 remembered Kunaavashi as a picnic island with a resort then under construction. How many villas it has is told 2 ways: its profile in the 2026 destination guide says 72, the directory in the same document 50. The 5 categories on sale are not in doubt.

In the Lumina Guide

Lumina Guide 2027

NOOE Maldives Kunaavashi, in Vaavu Atoll, has villas on the beach and overwater duplexes with pools; you eat at Iru, Washoku and Flame, and the spa is Th·āri.

How we choose the hotels

Our reading, point by point

What we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.

  1. Location

Vaavu Atoll, about 75 minutes from Malé by shared speedboat or 25 by seaplane; the boat waits for other flights, so keep the arrival day free.

  2. Character

A small, quiet island opened in 2023: guests walk round it in 5 to 15 minutes, and an evening is a boduberu drum night or a singer at the bar.

  3. Rooms

From 62 m² on the beach to 370 m² over the water; the 119 m² Duplex has its bedroom upstairs and a plunge pool on the deck.

  4. Food and social life

A themed buffet at Iru, teppanyaki at Washoku and a grill over the water at Flame; All Inclusive gives one Washoku dinner on 5–6 nights and 2 from 7.

  5. Wellness

Th·āri Spa by Mandara opens 10am–8pm, with a 60-minute Balinese massage at US$155, service and tax included; Han’dhu Gym opens 7am–8pm.

  6. The stay as a whole

Google’s calendar, read on 5 October 2026, showed US$367 to US$448 a night for 2 on 3 sample nights; the calendar does not specify the meal plan, transfers or other inclusions.

The 5 things that matter, as guests tell them

What do NOOE Maldives’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.

  1. Location

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Kunaavashi is a small island in Vaavu Atoll, about 75 minutes by speedboat or 25 by seaplane from Malé: guests write of snorkelling among the fish a few metres off the beach.

  2. Room

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. On the beach, the 62 m² Beach Villas; over the water, the 2-storey Duplex villas with a pool on the deck: guests write of the overwater villas, spacious and clean, and of the view.

  3. Staff and service

9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests thank by name the people who welcome them at reception, the housekeepers, the restaurant and bar team and the water sports instructors.

  4. Breakfast

Breakfast is a buffet at Iru, the restaurant for all 3 meals, and is included in every meal plan, with water, tea, coffee and juices.

  5. Price

4 meal plans, from breakfast only to all-inclusive, with the minibar always charged. Guests write of excursions and water sports paid for separately and of a complimentary photo shoot, with further photos for sale.

The scores come from 258 Google reviews with text, left from 3 August 2023 to 5 October 2026. Text reviews after the new resort launch inMay2023; each comparator has its own period. Documented shortlists are real choices, not four completed comparison stays. Kuramathi has ongoing partial works; rebranding and recent reviews do not establish their completion. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 6 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

Beach, jetty and island dining

Bed, sofa and covered sea-facing veranda in the Beach Villa

Snorkelling from the beach

The house reef begins off the sand, and guests write of turtles, stingrays and baby sharks on it (March and June 2025). 2 guests were lent snorkelling gear at no charge (February 2025, August 2026); the boat trips are paid for.

Tables and buffet beneath Iru’s high ceiling

Buffet, Japanese food and a grill

Iru serves all 3 meals as a buffet and changes its theme each evening: guests name Indian, Maldivian, Italian and barbecue nights. At Washoku the chef cooks at a teppanyaki counter in front of you; Flame is the grill on a deck over the water. All Inclusive pours drinks at Iru with meals and at Veli from 11am to midnight, and gives one dinner at Washoku on a stay of 5–6 nights or 2 from 7.

Th·āri spa reception and product shelves

Th·āri massages and facials

Th·āri Spa by Mandara opens from 10am to 8pm. Its undated menu lists a 60-minute Balinese massage at US$155, the 10% service charge and 17% TGST included. Book ahead and arrive 15 minutes early; cancelling within 6 hours costs 50%. Guests mention a short complimentary massage as a welcome (November 2025) or a 5-minute honeymoon taster (September 2026).

Grand Solana bedroom and terrace towards the lagoon

2 bedrooms for travelling together

Grand Solana is the 350 m² villa on the beach for up to 6 people, with 2 bedrooms, a private pool and a Jacuzzi. Children have Kulhun, the kids’ club near the beach: a family with children of 2, 4 and 5 left them there while the parents snorkelled (June 2024). That account does not establish the minimum age for unaccompanied admission, which should be confirmed with the resort.

The speedboat is shared and waits for other flights, for up to 3 hours at the airport by the resort’s own account (its replies to reviews of May and December 2025); 10 reviews between September 2023 and August 2026 complain about long or uncertain waits. One, in December 2025, reports more than 2 hours at the airport. One guest reports about US$250 a person return by boat (June 2025). The 2023 announcement gave 60 minutes for the crossing.

  • There are 4 meal plans, from breakfast only to All Inclusive; the minibar is always charged, as are unlisted drinks and in-villa dining. Everyone in a villa takes the same plan for the whole stay, from 2pm on the day of arrival to noon on the day of departure. The US$411 a night that Google showed names neither a plan nor the transfer.

  • The 5 villa categories sleep 3, 4 or 6 people: up to 3 in the two 62 m² beach categories, 4 in the 119 m² overwater Duplex and 6 in the 2-bedroom Grand Solana and Grand Atlantis. • The overwater Duplex, Grand Solana and Grand Atlantis have a private pool; for the two 62 m² Beach categories the site lists none. The pages read give no measurements: 2 guests put a villa pool at about 2 metres by 2 (November 2025) and, in a water villa, 2 by 1.5 (July 2024), and one in December 2025 found the water “not warm”.

Getting there

The boat ties up at the arrival jetty; guests were welcomed with Maldivian drumming (July 2025) and with a song and dance (September 2026).

TransferThe resort’s homepage and its profile in the 2026 destination guide give about 75 minutes by speedboat or 25 minutes by seaplane from Malé; the opening announcement of 3 May 2023 said 60 minutes by boat. The boat is shared and, by the resort’s account, waits up to 3 hours at the airport for other flights; a private speedboat means “minimal waiting”. A guest writing in March 2026 took the seaplane: landed at Malé at 7:30, took off at 9:40 and had the villa by about 11. What guests paid is in the transfer question below.

The cheaper offer could be cancelled free of charge until 2 November; neither named the villa, the meals or the transfer. Google’s calendar for 2 guests, read the same day, gave US$367 for the night of 6–7 October 2026, US$372 for 5–6 December 2026 and US$448 for 5–6 March 2027, without saying whether tax is in. These are prices seen on one day, and they move with availability.
Taxes and feesThe US$411 through HomeToGo and the US$597 through the link marked as official, which Google showed on 5 October 2026 per night for 2 adults on 16–19 November 2026, had taxes and fees included; its calendar prices say nothing about tax. The resort’s spa menu prints its prices with the 10% service charge and 17% TGST already added. For the room, the meals and the transfer the resort’s pages give no breakdown: ask for a total that names service charge, TGST and Green Tax, and for the age below which a child is exempt.

The island on the map

Kunaavashi lies in Vaavu Atoll. 2 guests put the walk round it at 5 minutes (March 2025) and about 15 (December 2025); a third, in August 2025, found about a third of the island closed off for the resort’s service buildings.

NOOE Maldives · reviews and comparisons

Review after review thanks someone by name, from the housekeepers to the watersports crew. The reef, the 2-storey water villas, housekeeping twice a day and the teppanyaki at Washoku come up again and again. What guests would tell a friend beforehand: the island is small and its evenings quiet, and the free 30-minute photo session ends in one printed photograph, with digital copies sold at US$20 to US$25 each (December 2025, February 2026).

On 5 October 2026 Google showed 4.6/5 from 356 reviews. We read the 258 that have a text, written between 3 August 2023 and 5 October 2026.

Questions before you go

Where can you eat, and which venues are included?

There are 4 places, each with its page on the resort’s site. Iru is the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a rotation of 7 themed evenings; Washoku is Japanese, with sushi and teppanyaki; Flame is the grill over the water; Veli is the bar beside the shared pool. All Inclusive, on the resort’s undated plan sheet, covers the 3 meals at Iru and a list of drinks there at meal times and at Veli from 11am to midnight, plus one 3-course dinner at Washoku on a stay of 5–6 nights or 2 on 7 nights or more; for fewer than 5 nights the sheet names no Washoku dinner. Everyone in a villa keeps the same plan for the whole stay, from 2pm on arrival to noon on departure, resort time. The minibar, special events, dinner in the villa and destination dining are charged, and the resort may change the selection, the hours and the service for weather, occupancy or operations. Its 2 drinks lists name different brands, so expect none in particular. The resort’s map also marks a Moodhu, which is not among the 4 with a page of their own.

What does the spa offer?

Th·āri Spa by Mandara offers massages and facials with ELEMIS products, from 10am to 8pm. Its menu, which carries no date, lists a Balinese massage at US$155 for 60 minutes and US$200 for 90, and the Mandara massage with 2 therapists at US$185 for 60 minutes and US$240 for 90. The 10% service charge and 17% TGST are already in those treatment prices. Treatments are paid for; they do not come with the room. The pages read give no minimum age and no size for the spa: one guest in July 2026 called it small.

How much does a night cost?

Google Hotels, on 5 October 2026, showed US$411 a night for 2 adults on 16–19 November 2026 through HomeToGo, with taxes and fees included, and US$597 a night for the same dates through the link marked as the official site. The cheaper offer could be cancelled free of charge until 2 November; neither named the villa, the meals or the transfer. Google’s calendar for 2 guests, read the same day, gave single nights at US$367 for 6–7 October 2026, US$372 for 5–6 December 2026 and US$448 for 5–6 March 2027, with no word on tax. For the boat from Malé, one guest reports the cost separately (June 2025).

When did the resort open, and how many villas are there?

NOOE Maldives Kunaavashi occupies the island of Kunaavashi, in Vaavu Atoll. La Vie announced the new resort on 3 May 2023 and Visit Maldives marked its second anniversary on 16 April 2025, which points to an opening in April 2023; neither gives the day, and a guest in August 2023 wrote March. It sells 5 villa categories. On the number of villas the sources split: the 2023 announcement and the resort’s profile in the 2026 destination guide say 72, the directory inside the same guide 50, and the villa pages give no count by category. 2 reviews from the same couple in July 2026 mention a renovation in 2024; its reply to one of them speaks of “the recent refurbishment of the resort” without a date.

What do the review figures tell us?

On 5 October 2026 Google showed 4.6/5 from 356 reviews; we read the 258 that have a text, written between 3 August 2023 and 5 October 2026. Praise often concerns the staff, the reef, the 2-storey water villas and housekeeping twice a day. They differ on the food: one guest in July 2026 had not tasted better anywhere, others found it average. The trouble that recurs is the journey: 10 reviews complain about long or uncertain waits for the shared speedboat. These are 10 accounts, not 10 separate travel parties: 2 are from the same August 2026 group, and the resort disputes their waiting time, giving 1 hour 42 minutes. A July 2026 account measures about 4 hours until reaching the resort, rather than airport waiting alone.

Are weddings or private events available?

The resort’s weddings page lists 4 packages: Timeless Elegance, Say Yes at NOOE, Moments of Forever and Infinity Love. All are ceremonies on the beach, differing in the photography and the romantic extras that come with them. It gives no prices, guest numbers or minimum stay and is silent on whether the ceremony has legal force, so put those questions to the resort; the page does not list these wedding extras as part of an ordinary room rate. Honeymoon touches need announcing: replying to a review of February 2026, the resort wrote that it prepares them only when told in advance.

Source

Which pools are there?

One shared pool, and a private one with 3 of the 5 villa categories. The shared pool is the infinity pool in front of Veli, the bar; a guest in November 2025 found few sunloungers round it. The Duplex Overwater Villa has a plunge pool on its deck, and Grand Solana and Grand Atlantis each have a private pool and a Jacuzzi in their names; the Beach Villa and Sunset Beach Villa pages list none. The pages read give no sizes or depths for any of them.

Is spa access included, and are outside guests admitted?

Treatments at Th·āri are paid for and have to be booked: arrive 15 minutes early, and a cancellation with less than 6 hours’ notice is charged at 50% of the price. The spa is open from 10am to 8pm. What guests have had free is a taster: a shoulder massage as a welcome (November 2025) or 5 minutes on the neck and shoulders for a honeymoon (September 2026). The pages read give no details of day passes, visitors from outside or a minimum age.

Which villas offer the right space and occupancy?

There are 5. On the beach, the Beach Villa and the Sunset Beach Villa are 62 m² each and take up to 3 people. Over the water, the Duplex Overwater Villa with Private Pool is 119 m² for up to 4, with the bedroom upstairs, the lounge downstairs and a deck with a plunge pool. For up to 6 there are 2 villas with 2 bedrooms, a private pool and a Jacuzzi: Grand Solana 2 Bedroom Beach Villa, 350 m², and Grand Atlantis 2 Bedroom Overwater Villa, 370 m². The resort gives one figure per villa, without separating indoors from terrace, and no rule for children’s ages or extra beds.

Which operating dates are documented?

The resort pages read give no closing dates. Guests’ reviews are written in every month of the year, and on 5 October 2026 Google’s calendar carried prices for nights in October and December 2026 and March 2027. A guest who stayed in July 2025 had sunshine almost every day; one in July 2026 found little to do in the rain that was free except the gym, and another in September 2026 mentions indoor sports for rainy days.

Where is the resort, and how quiet is it?

On Kunaavashi, an island in Vaavu Atoll: the resort gives its address as NOOE Maldives Kunaavashi, Vaavu Atoll, Maldives, and Google adds Vaavu Kunaavashi Island 10010. You reach it from Malé by speedboat or seaplane. Guests describe a small island without crowds, where the evening is a boduberu drum night, a singer at the bar or karaoke the staff arranged for one group (September 2026). 3 found too little to do, one advising 2 or 3 days at most (May 2025).

Source

What is planned for New Year’s Eve?

The resort’s downloads page lists a Festive Calendar; its programme and prices for New Year’s Eve 2026 were not available to us in early October, so ask reservations whether the dinner is compulsory and what it costs on your meal plan. A couple who saw in 2024 on the island describe a New Year’s Eve party with “a great selection of food items and desserts”, and a guest in December 2025 a Christmas dinner prepared with care.

Source

Source

Are guest parking arrangements documented?

The island is reached by speedboat or seaplane, so a car goes no further than Malé. The words “Car Parking” and “Free Coupons” on the Sunset Beach Villa page read as leftovers of the website’s template; the pages we read describe no garage or valet.

How do you reach the beach and sea?

From a Beach Villa you step onto the sand: the resort describes it as opening directly onto the beach. The Duplex Overwater Villa has a deck with a plunge pool, and guests go down a ladder into the lagoon (April 2025, July 2026); at low tide, one couple wrote, the ladder ends too high above the water to climb easily. The house reef is snorkelled from the beach, the diving page says, and a guest in February 2025 found the snorkelling area waist to chest deep. The pages read give no distance to the reef: a family in a sunset-facing beach villa put it at about 30 metres (July 2025).

Is a golf package documented?

The resort’s activity pages are given over to the sea and the spa: snorkelling, PADI courses, boat trips, fishing and treatments. Golf is not on them, and none of the 258 reviews we read mentions it.

Which offers have verifiable terms?

2 are named on the resort’s offers page: Stay Longer & Save More and NOOE Elevate: Sea to Sky Balance. The page we read gives the names and no terms, so before paying ask reservations for the booking and stay dates, the minimum number of nights, whether the offer is for new bookings only and whether it covers both legs of the transfer.

What are the spa and pool hours?

Th·āri is open from 10am to 8pm and Han’dhu Gym from 7am to 8pm. A spa treatment needs a reservation and arrival 15 minutes early, and costs 50% if cancelled within 6 hours. The pages read give no hours for the shared pool; Veli, the bar beside it, serves All Inclusive drinks from 11am to midnight.

Are the pools heated or seasonal?

The pages read give no temperatures and no closing dates for the shared pool or the villa pools. The one account is a guest’s in December 2025, in bad weather: the water in the villa pool was “not warm”, and they used it little.

Which facilities does the official website describe?

5 villa categories, 4 places to eat and drink, the shared pool at Veli, Th·āri Spa, Han’dhu Gym, Kulhun Kids Club and a diving and watersports centre, with snorkelling, PADI courses, boat excursions and fishing among its activities. Guests mention more: a clinic with a doctor (August 2023, September 2026), yoga at sunrise or sunset (September 2026) and a single shop, which had no sunscreen when one guest ran out in February 2026. The spa and the boat trips are charged.

Which spa treatments and prices are documented?

The spa menu, which carries no date, prices the Balinese massage at US$155 for 60 minutes and US$200 for 90; the Mandara massage with 2 therapists at US$185 for 60 minutes and US$240 for 90; Tension Relief, 90 minutes, at US$220; Warm Stone, 60 minutes, at US$170; and the Pure Nature Facial, 60 minutes, at US$155. Every price includes the 10% service charge and 17% TGST. Book ahead and arrive 15 minutes early; a cancellation within 6 hours costs 50%.

How do you get there, and what do transfers cost?

By speedboat in about 75 minutes or by seaplane in about 25 minutes from Malé, the resort says; its opening announcement of 3 May 2023 gave 60 minutes by boat. The resort pages read give no fares. One guest reports about US$250 a person return by boat (June 2025); another gives US$400 for the transfer on a booking and US$800 quoted for a private boat (November 2025). Unless you pay for a private one, the speedboat is shared and waits for other flights, for up to 3 hours by the resort’s own account. Going home it leaves about 3 hours before your flight, the resort says; one guest left at 2:30pm for a 9:30pm flight (July 2026). A couple writing in March 2025 missed their flight home when rough weather stopped boats and seaplanes; the resort’s reply recommends leaving a margin.

Can you snorkel the reef from the beach?

Yes. The resort’s diving page says the house reef is snorkelled straight from the beach, and guests report turtles, stingrays and baby sharks (March and June 2025) and an octopus (October 2025). On the coral they differ: a couple in October 2025 called the reef healthy, a guest in September 2026 found the coral yellowish-grey. The diving page mentions equipment and guided outings without a price; guests were lent their gear at no charge in February 2025 and August 2026.

What does the board plan include?

The resort’s plan sheet, which carries no date, has 4: BB is breakfast; HB breakfast and dinner; FB breakfast, lunch and dinner; All Inclusive the 3 meals with drinks. On the first 3, Iru serves house water and tea or coffee to order, with juices at breakfast. All Inclusive adds a list of drinks at Iru during meals and at Veli from 11am to midnight, and Washoku: one 3-course dinner on a stay of 5–6 nights and 2 from 7 nights, with nothing named below 5 nights and no children’s ages or prices. The plan runs from 2pm on the day you arrive to noon on the day you leave, resort time. Everyone in the villa is on the same plan throughout, for their own consumption, with no refund, swap or transfer of a meal not taken. The minibar, drinks off the list, special events, destination dining and dinner in the villa are charged in full, some menu items carry a supplement, and weather, occupancy or operations may change what is offered. The drinks menu and the plan sheet name different brands, so none is guaranteed. 2 All Inclusive guests found snacks between meals extra (November 2025, July 2026), though one in September 2026 writes of unlimited drinks and snacks. The US$411 a night on Google names neither a plan nor both legs of the transfer: do not read it as an All Inclusive price.

What are the children’s and babysitting rules?

Kulhun Kids Club is a children’s space near the beach and the main facilities, and families use it: one with children of 2, 4 and 5 left them there while the parents snorkelled (June 2024), and another describes art and craft sessions with the staff (July 2025). The resort’s family page gives no ages, hours or prices and nothing on babysitting or children’s meals; one family in June 2025 reports a professional babysitting service. The villas take 3, 4 or 6 people by category; the resort does not say how many of them may be children or whether a child stays free.

Which taxes are included or separate?

The 2 prices Google showed on 5 October 2026, US$411 through HomeToGo and US$597 through the link marked as official, per night for 2 adults on 16–19 November 2026, were given with taxes and fees included; Google’s calendar prices carry no such note. The spa menu’s prices already include the 10% service charge and 17% TGST. For rooms, meals and transfers the resort’s pages give no breakdown, so ask for a total that names service charge, TGST and Green Tax, and for the age below which a child is exempt.
