The Nautilus Maldives is a private-island resort on Thiladhoo, in Baa Atoll: 26 houses, each with a private pool, 15 on the beach and 11 over the water.
The Nautilus suits couples and families who want a butler for every house, breakfast at any hour and nights from $3,809 for 2 from November 2026, the lowest price any seller showed on Google for one night. Anyone who needs a fixed budget from the outset should ask for a complete quote: the seaplane comes on top.

I would ask for an Ocean House with Private Pool: 282 m² over the lagoon, with a sundeck, steps down to the water and an infinity pool. Of the 26 houses, 8 are Ocean Houses and 9 are Beach Houses.
The weeks that cost less
The lowest week on the calendar read on 12 October 2026 is 2–8 November 2026: 7 nights at $3,809 for 2, the lowest price on Google. The dearest, 8–14 January 2027, shows $4,434 to $7,741.
The seaplane on top
The resort’s own 8-seat seaplane, non-stop, is US$1,750 per adult and US$1,150 per child aged 2 to 11, round trip, taxes included. To fly on the day you land, be at Velana airport by 3.30pm.
Sunset at the Pool Bar
Book direct and the Pool Bar serves sundowner cocktails and deli-style snacks every day at sunset, the resort says. A guest who wrote in June 2022 enjoyed the bites and refreshments by the main pool.
What the Nautilus is
The 9 Beach Houses have a separate sitting room and a courtyard bathroom; the 8 Ocean Houses stand over the lagoon with steps to the water and, a guest noted in October 2023, a glass floor in the sitting room. In a Beach Residence you climb a spiral staircase to bed. The Retreat and the Mansion, one of each, have 2 and 3 bedrooms.
Meals here do not run to a fixed schedule. Thyme is on the beach, Zeytoun over the lagoon and Ocaso cooks Japanese, Mexican and Peruvian, yet 3 guests between June 2022 and August 2024 call the menus a starting point: one asked for a pumpkin pie and got it. Beyond breakfast the rate decides, and a guest in July 2025 whose rate covered breakfast and a sundowner found the rest very expensive.
Solasta, the spa, is 3 glass-floored treatment pavilions over the water, with a sauna and a steam room; therapists also come to your house, and the gym never shuts. A guest in January 2023 calls the free 8am yoga class the only fixed appointment on the island. The spa’s page lists no prices: ask the resort.
The service begins on the tarmac in Malé: 4 guests between December 2021 and January 2023 describe a car and a private lounge before the resort’s own 8-seat seaplane, which flies direct in about half an hour. The standard seaplane may stop at other islands and finish by boat; a guest in June 2022 thought the direct flight worth a few hundred more.
Families should book on the sand: the resort advises against the overwater houses for children under 9 and fits fences on request (FAQ). Book direct and 2 children under 12 stay and eat free from the children’s menu when dining with their parents, though the seaplane is still US$1,150 for a child aged 2 to 11. A family in December 2021 wrote of the kids’ club and of a film on the beach with bottomless popcorn.
In the Lumina Guide
Lumina Guide 2027
The Nautilus is a small island in Baa Atoll with 26 houses, each with a private pool and a butler, where you eat when and how you like.
What we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.
Location
Thiladhoo is in Baa Atoll, 126 km from Malé; a guest in June 2022 put the manta-spotting area 10 to 15 minutes away by boat, but did not see any on that visit.
Character
26 houses, a butler for each, and no set hour for breakfast or dinner.
Rooms
7 categories from 282 to 922 m², each with its own pool: 15 houses on the beach, 11 over the water.
Food and social life
3 restaurants that will cook off the menu if asked; beyond breakfast, the bill depends on your rate.
Wellness
3 glass-floored pavilions over the water, a sauna and a steam room; ask the resort for treatment prices.
The stay as a whole
On Google on 6 October 2026: US$3,809 a night for 2 on 1 November, the start of the bookable run, against US$3,010 on 8 October, a night within 3 weeks of the reading; the calendar does not specify whether the seaplane is included.
What makes it rare
A badge is an experience travellers look for, that is really here and that few hotels in the guide have.
What do The Nautilus Maldives’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
Location
Guests write of a small, very private island, 26 houses in all, quiet enough to switch off completely.
Room
Of the houses, guests describe the space and the light, the large private pool, the deck and beds they sleep well in.
Staff and service
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests write about the butlers, often by name, who ask before arrival how warm you like the pool and which pillows you sleep on, and about being met on the tarmac in Malé.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at any hour and wherever you like: meals on the island keep no set times, and guests write about it along with the rest of the cooking.
Price
The seaplane, $1,750 an adult return, comes on top of the house rate; the resort publishes no all-inclusive plan for every booking, and meals and drinks depend on the rate booked.

The scores come from 46 Google reviews with text, left from 3 February 2019 to 26 January 2026. Only reviews dated from 1 February 2019: a conservative boundary for the documented opening month, without inferring the exact opening day. The sample is small; comparisons are one guest’s suggestions, not four pairs of verified completed stays. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 6 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
Price: for two on the night of 2 November 2026, from $3,809 (seen on Google Hotels on 12 October 2026).
What a night costs, season by season
A night for 2 on Google costs $3,809 from 1 November to 22 December 2026, against $4,342 to $4,434 from 15 January to 10 April 2027 and $3,213 to $3,468 on the 29 priced nights from 11 April to 5 September 2027. I would choose 2–8 November 2026, with $3,809 on every night.

The lowest price any seller showed on Google Hotels for one night searched alone, for 2 adults, read 12 October 2026; no room or meal plan is specified. The calendar stops on 5 September 2027; 23 December 2026 to 7 January 2027 have no price, nor do most nights from 11 April to 5 September 2027, and 24 October 2026 stands apart at $7,487. Booked as 7 nights from 16 November 2026, the lowest seller Google listed that day asked $3,405 a night.
The Nautilus, Soneva Fushi or Waldorf Astoria Maldives
Choose the Nautilus for a butler and a pool in each of 26 houses. Soneva Fushi is in the same Baa Atoll, 30 minutes by seaplane; Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi suits a late arrival, its shared yacht running in the evening too.
A night: the lowest single-night seller price in the week of 16 November 2026, for 2 adults, read on Google on 12 October 2026; no room or meal plan is specified. Transfers: Soneva Fushi’s fare is its 2026 price; the yacht fare of Waldorf Astoria is before 28.7% tax and service.
Inside films of The Nautilus
Five films: the jetty between the overwater houses, uploaded in September 2025; the inside of the seaplane, on a trip in March 2019; the breakfast counter from an agency’s tour, The Resorts Collection’s, uploaded in 2022; and two short clips the resort uploaded in 2021, one of a drink and one aboard the yacht.

A seaplane above the lagoon.
The resort’s seaplane flies in daylight only: for a same-day connection, land at Velana by 3:30pm. The resort’s plane is direct; the standard seaplane may finish with a speedboat leg, in under 2 minutes for one guest (June 2022) and 5 to 7 for another (December 2021).
Zeytoun restaurant at dusk.
Zeytoun sets its tables over the lagoon and cooks European and Mediterranean food, though a guest in January 2023 writes that you may order from the menu of any restaurant on the island.
Solasta Spa seen from above.
Solasta is 3 pavilions over the water, each with a glass floor, with a sauna, a steam room, an open-air bath and 2 lounges alongside.
Naiboli’s hanging chairs.
Naiboli is the bar by the main pool, a guest wrote in June 2022. 4 guests between June 2022 and July 2025 mention a drink on the house at sunset.
Good to know before you book
You eat at the hours you choose, with cooking made to order; the resort publishes no all-inclusive that applies to everyone, and meals and drinks depend on the rate. Source: thenautilusmaldives.com
The shared 8-seat seaplane costs $1,750 per adult and $1,150 for children aged 2 to 11, return; the flight takes 30 to 35 minutes and runs by day only. Taxes are included (the transfer page). To fly on the day you land, be at Velana by 3:30pm; for the way home, the resort’s FAQ gives international departures between 6am and 4pm. Chartering the plane is $7,500 each way.
You eat at the hours you choose, with cooking made to order; the resort pages read give no all-inclusive that applies to everyone, and meals and drinks depend on the rate. Google lists breakfast as free (6 October 2026). One guest in October 2023 was on half board; another, in July 2025, wrote that beyond breakfast and a sundowner everything was charged, and steeply (dining, Zeytoun).
The resort offers snorkelling, diving and outings with its marine biologist; reef access from every house is not guaranteed. Guests disagree about the house reef: 3 between May 2019 and October 2023 praise it, one in July 2025 found it unremarkable. Rocks shelter the water villas from the waves (June 2022), and one guest advises water shoes (October 2023) (experiences, FAQ).
The houses run from the 282 m² Ocean House to the 922 m² Mansion, and each has a private pool. Between them: the Beach House, 309 m²; the Beach Residence, 415; the Ocean Residence, 453; the 2-bedroom Retreat, 542. The Mansion has 3 bedrooms. The Two Bedroom Beach Residence is 610 m² on its own page and 560 in the 2025 family brochure. Ask the resort how many each house sleeps (about the resort, Beach House).
Seaplane fares are quoted with taxes included (the transfer page). For the house, meals and the spa, that page gives neither the taxes and service added nor who is exempt from the Green Tax, and Google does not say whether its nightly prices include them.
4 guests between December 2021 and January 2023 were met on the tarmac in Malé and given a car and a private lounge.
Transfer
The resort’s 8-seat seaplane costs US$1,750 return per adult and US$1,150 for a child from 2 until their twelfth birthday, taxes included. The transfer page gives the flight as about 30 minutes and the FAQ as 35; guests timed it at anything from 30 to 45 (December 2021 to October 2023). It flies only in daylight.
Location
Thiladhoo is in Baa Atoll, 126 km from Malé by the resort’s FAQ. Besides the seaplane there is a domestic flight followed by a boat, and the resort’s yacht (about the resort). The wait in Malé is spent in the lounge: 30 minutes for a guest in August 2024, about 90 for one in June 2022.
The observed price
Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026 for 2 adults and one night, showed US$3,607 for 7 October 2026 and US$3,010 for 8 October, 2 nights within 3 weeks of the reading, and US$3,809 for 1 November, the start of the bookable run. The same reading listed the resort’s own site at US$3,010 and Bookhotel.direct at US$3,607. Google names neither the house nor the meals.
Fares, times and prices read on 6 October 2026; guests’ accounts carry their own dates.

The Nautilus Maldives reviews
On 6 October 2026 Google showed 4.7/5 from 84 ratings and, beside it, Tripadvisor’s 4.9/5 from 121. We read the 46 Google reviews with text, written between 3 February 2019, the month the resort opened, and 26 January 2026. About 10 name their butler, whom guests here call the house master.
Google read on 6 October 2026; the 46 reviews read are part of the 84 ratings.
On 11 October 2025 a guest writing in French, on a first trip to the Maldives, described a week in which the general manager came out to greet guests every day.
3 restaurants, and Naiboli, the bar. Zeytoun serves European and Mediterranean food over the lagoon; Ocaso brings together Japanese, Mexican and Peruvian cooking, with a grill and teppanyaki; Thyme is the restaurant on the beach (dining). There is no strict dress code and no set mealtime.
Solasta has 3 treatment pavilions over the water, with glass floors, and beside them a sauna, a steam room, an open-air bath and 2 lounges. Treatments can be given in your house, and there are yoga and meditation sessions. A guest in June 2022 liked the range of treatments.
On Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026 for 2 adults and one night, the price was US$3,607 for 7 October 2026 and US$3,010 for 8 October 2026, 2 nights within 3 weeks of the reading, and US$3,809 for 1 November 2026, the start of the bookable run. The same reading listed the resort’s own site at US$3,010 and Bookhotel.direct at US$3,607. Google names neither the house nor the meals, and does not say whether taxes or the seaplane are included.
A private-island resort, 5-star by Google’s classification, on Thiladhoo in Baa Atoll: 26 houses in 7 categories, each with a private pool. It opened in February 2019, according to an article on the resort’s site dated 7 February 2021. 11 houses stand over the water along a jetty, a guest wrote in June 2022.
Google showed 4.7/5 from 84 ratings on 6 October 2026; we read the 46 reviews with text, from 3 February 2019, the month the resort opened, to 26 January 2026. What recurs: butlers thanked by name, the welcome on the tarmac in Malé and the private lounge, meals at any hour, and an island that one guest in February 2023 called almost their own. The seaplane, US$1,750 an adult return, comes on top of the house rate, and the resort pages read give no all-inclusive plan that covers every booking.
Yes: the resort arranges weddings and celebrations to order, on the beach or elsewhere on the island. A couple on honeymoon wrote in January 2023 of a private dinner on a sandbank. For prices, minimum stays, cancellation terms and whether a ceremony is legally binding, ask the resort.
Every one of the 26 houses has its own, from the Beach House to the Mansion. There is a shared pool as well: Google lists an outdoor pool, a guest in June 2022 places it by Naiboli, and a family in December 2021 never had trouble finding a sunbed there.
Solasta’s page describes treatments made to order, in the spa or in your house, without prices and without saying whether any rate includes them; it does not mention day visitors. Google lists the gym as free, and 2 guests (June 2022, January 2023) say the morning yoga is too.
For 2, the choice is beach or lagoon: the 309 m² Beach House or the 282 m² Ocean House. The Residences add room: 453 m² with living and dining rooms in the Ocean Residence, 415 m² on 2 floors in the Beach Residence. A second bedroom means the Two Bedroom Beach Residence, 610 m² on its page and 560 in the 2025 family brochure, or the 542 m² Retreat; a third, the 922 m² Mansion.
It opened in February 2019 (the resort’s article). The FAQ treats the Maldives as a year-round trip. On 6 October 2026 Google’s calendar priced every night to 31 January 2027 except those from 23 December to 7 January.
On Thiladhoo, an island in Baa Atoll that the resort’s FAQ puts 126 km from Malé. You reach it from Velana airport by seaplane, or by domestic flight and boat; the resort also offers its yacht (about the resort). A family in December 2021 was told all 26 houses were taken and still saw hardly anyone on the beach.
The resort’s offers page, read on 6 October 2026, carried no programme or price for the evening of 31 December 2026. Google’s calendar the same day showed no prices for the nights from 23 December to 7 January 2027.
You will not need any: the journey is by aircraft and boat, and the resort looks after guests at Malé airport (FAQ). Those who describe it mention a car from the tarmac to the lounge and staff who take charge of the luggage.
The Beach houses open straight onto the sand, which a family in December 2021 found all but empty. The Ocean Houses, the Ocean Residence and the Retreat have decks over the water, and the Ocean Houses have steps into the lagoon (about the resort, FAQ).
The resort’s pages make no mention of golf; what it offers is on the water and on the island (facilities, FAQ). For exercise, a guest in October 2023 notes a padel court and a gym open round the clock, and Google lists tennis.
There is an offers page, but it leaves out what you need to cost a stay: dates, minimum nights, whether offers combine and whether the seaplane is covered. One benefit is spelt out on the house pages: book direct and 2 children under 12 stay and eat free.
Solasta’s page gives no opening hours and speaks of treatments timed to suit the guest. The gym is open 24 hours (facilities), and a guest in January 2023 puts the group yoga class at 8am.
The Ocean Residence, Beach Residence, Two Bedroom Beach Residence, Retreat and Mansion have temperature-controlled pools, by their own pages; the Beach House and Ocean House pages leave it out. A guest in August 2024, asked a fortnight ahead how warm they liked it, arrived to a pool at 28 degrees.
On the water there is snorkelling, diving, trips with the marine biologist and watersports, some of them free, a guest noted in June 2022. On land: Solasta, a gym, yoga and meditation. For families, the resort’s brochure describes art sessions, Dhivehi lessons, film screenings and private outings, each arranged to order.
Solasta offers massages and rituals. The resort publishes a leaflet for one of them, Maison Caulières: a yacht to a sandbank, a scrub, a wrap and a massage, then a bath back at the house. The leaflet gives neither a price nor a duration.
The resort runs its own 8-seat seaplane, shared between guests: US$1,750 return per adult and US$1,150 for a child from 2 until their twelfth birthday, taxes included. The tariff literally labels children “2–11.99” and infants “below 1.99”, without clarifying that last cutoff. Chartering it costs US$7,500 each way. The flight takes about 30 minutes by the transfer page and 35 by the FAQ, in daylight only, so to fly on the day you arrive you must land at Velana by 3:30pm. A standard seaplane may stop on the way and finish by boat; the fare table does not say whether its price is one-way or return, nor anything about luggage or cancellation.
One guest found plenty of fish and coral round an Ocean House (June 2022); another, in July 2025, saw nothing special in the house reef. The bigger sights are offshore, on the dives and trips with the marine biologist (FAQ): a diver in August 2024 saw more than 40 manta rays at Hanifaru Bay.
No single plan covers every booking (dining, Zeytoun); what is included depends on your rate. Google lists breakfast as free (6 October 2026), and a guest in November 2020 pointed out that it is still breakfast at 4pm. One guest in October 2023 was on half board; another, in July 2025, had breakfast and a sundowner and found the rest expensive.
Book direct and 2 children under 12 stay and eat free, a benefit printed on all 7 house pages (this one, for example); they order from the children’s menu and eat with their parents. The seaplane is extra: US$1,150 return for a child from 2 until their twelfth birthday, taxes included. The children’s programme is called Young Wonderers; ask the resort about ages, hours and babysitting. It advises against the overwater houses for under-nines and fits fences on request.
The seaplane fares include taxes, as the transfer page states. For the house, meals and the spa it gives no figure for taxes or service and does not say who is exempt from the Green Tax; nor does Google say whether its prices for 2 adults and one night include them.
