The pool and Hubba Hubba
The infinity pool is on the beach, with Hubba Hubba, the bar that gives it its music, alongside (restaurants and bars, Hubba Hubba). A pool of your own comes with the 2 categories that have one in their name.
Ifuru Island Maldives is a resort in Raa Atoll where the domestic flight from Malé lands on the island itself: 147 suites and villas, on the beach or on the upper floor.
A week here, month by monthIfuru suits families and groups of friends who want a long beach and a pool bar with music; the lowest seller on Google showed $314 for one night for 2 adults, from 2 November to 23 December 2026. Anyone after silence may prefer another island.
Official websiteDoes it suit you?
5 pairs of hotels, and the guide tells you whether this one suits you.
If you want the sand at your door I would ask for a Sunset Beach Villa, which the resort’s page describes with direct beach access and sunset views; a Sunset Sky Suite is the upper-floor choice, with a balcony or terrace.
In the calendar read on 12 October 2026, every night from 2 to 8 November 2026 shows $314, the same figure as the rest of the run to 23 December. The week of 1–7 September 2027 runs from $654 to $1,574 a night.
Rates add a 10% service charge, 17% tax and a Green Tax of $12 per person per night. The domestic flight from Malé is $350 and the seaplane $530, each return per adult, with service and tax added.
4 guests who wrote between October 2025 and April 2026 describe the buddy, the member of staff assigned to each guest on arrival, as the person who takes care of bookings and requests.
Ifuru is at its best for a family with children or a party of friends. The guests give a few signs of the season: one in February 2026 calls the sea a natural swimming pool and another, in March 2026, had 2 weeks without rain, while 2, writing in July and September 2026, met wind and waves on the beach. For a week of silence another island will serve better: the life of this one gathers round a pool bar with music.
Every room faces the sunset, guests wrote in February 2024 and April 2026, and none stands over the water. A Sunset Sky Suite is on the upper floor, with a balcony or terrace; a Sunset Beach Suite or Beach Villa opens onto the sand; 2 villa categories have a private pool. A large party books the same rooms together, as a Nest or an Island Reserve (the resort’s overview, the Sky Suite page).
The centre of the island is Hubba Hubba, the bar that brings music to the pool: guests in October and November 2025 mention live acts in the evening, fire shows, a foam party and a weekly ice-bucket challenge. 3 guests in 2025 found the music loud late into the evening.
There are 6 places to eat, each with its page on the resort’s site, from the buffets of Social House to pizza by the pool (restaurants and bars); Kai, the Japanese teppanyaki counter, carries a supplement per person even on Premium All Inclusive. The variety is a reason to choose Ifuru; the plan itself covers set menus and listed drinks, and a dish, a bottle or an activity outside them is charged. For a quieter hour there is Xanadu, the spa, with 8 treatment rooms and a menu of massages, facials and rituals; its sauna, steam room and plunge pool come with particular packages, and the gym is open 24 hours (activities).
The airstrip changes the sum. The domestic flight lands on the island; the seaplane flies only in daylight and fair weather; the resort’s terms give each its return fare, a luggage limit and a full charge for cancelling late. A group arriving on different international flights should add those fares to the room rate before comparing Ifuru with anywhere else.
Lumina Guide 2027
Ifuru Island, in Raa Atoll, has its own airstrip and puts company at the centre: suites on the beach or on the upper floor, a pool with a bar and music, and restaurants of different cuisines.
How we choose the hotelsWhat we found reading the hotel’s own pages, one thing at a time.
A beach in Raa Atoll with the airstrip on the same island; the seaplane has its own fare and keeps to daylight.
Music at the pool bar and 6 places to eat set a sociable pace; silence is found on other islands.
7 categories, from the Sky Suite with a balcony or terrace to the Two Bedroom Villa with Pool, and 3 group formats of 4, 20 and 32 bedrooms; the site gives no floor areas.
Buffets, grills and Japanese cooking; the plan covers set menus, and Kai’s teppanyaki is a supplement.
8 rooms at Xanadu, wet facilities inside certain packages and a gym open 24 hours; treatments are paid for.
From US$314 a night for 2 on Google on 6 October 2026; the flights from Malé and the supplements come on top.
What do Ifuru Island Maldives’s guests say? They write it in their reviews, even those who only came for a drink or dinner: we read every one and tell the 5 things that matter, from the location to the bill.
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Fine sand, turquoise water and the sunsets: that is what guests write about, along with the airstrip that brings the domestic flight onto the island itself.
9 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Guests describe large rooms and villas that face the sunset and are cleaned twice a day; a Beach Villa opens straight onto the sand.
7 in 10 guests who mention it are happy with it. Each guest is given a “buddy” who books restaurants, excursions and the spa throughout the stay: the reviews thank them by name, along with the bar staff.
Breakfast is a buffet at Social House, which stays a buffet at lunch and turns to a set à la carte menu at dinner.
Premium All Inclusive covers a selection of menus and drinks; dinner at Kai, boat excursions and motorised water sports are paid for separately.

The scores come from 153 Google reviews with text, left from 16 October 2023 to 4 October 2026. The sample includes stays, pre-stay accounts and a cancelled booking followed by Kuramathi. Guest physical claims contradicted by the official site do not become facts. Furaveri is proposed from similar reported behaviour, without a direct guest comparison; current prices are not equated. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay in the Maldives: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 6 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.
The hotels we weigh it against in the Maldives:
Price: for two on the night of 2 November 2026, from $314 (seen on Google Hotels on 12 October 2026).
The lowest seller on Google showed $314 a night for 2 adults from 13 October to 23 December 2026, then $668 to $724 from 24 December 2026 to 30 April 2027. I would look at the weeks from 2 November, then check the same dates again before booking.

Isolated high: $1,317 on 4 August 2027; the calendar stops on 7 September 2027. Between the readings of 4 and 12 October 2026, the night of 23 June 2027 fell from $1,574 to $654. Booked as 7 nights from 16 November 2026, the lowest seller Google listed that day asked $314 a night; the hotel’s own listing, $576.
Ifuru suits people who like company, with an airstrip on the island and 6 places to eat. Hondaafushi suits those choosing an all-inclusive island in the north at a similar price, reached by a domestic flight and a short boat ride.

The infinity pool is on the beach, with Hubba Hubba, the bar that gives it its music, alongside (restaurants and bars, Hubba Hubba). A pool of your own comes with the 2 categories that have one in their name.

Social House serves buffets at breakfast and lunch and an à la carte set menu at dinner. Premium All Inclusive covers the set menus; what is ordered beyond them goes on the bill (Hubba Hubba).

Xanadu has 8 treatment rooms and, beside them, a sauna, a steam room, a plunge pool and an ice bath. Its menu runs from massages to Ayurvedic rituals. Every treatment on it has its price, and nothing the resort publishes puts the spa inside Premium All Inclusive; 2 guests had a massage in a package they booked (November 2025, September 2026).

Coconut is the children’s programme for ages 3 to 12, as the resort’s current offer describes it. Those ages are the club’s alone: in the room a child under 12 pays a supplement, and on the flights from Malé the child fare starts at 2 (terms).
The domestic flight costs $350 return for adults, from age 12, and $175 for children aged 2 to 11; the seaplane $530 and $320. A 10% service charge and 17% tax are added. Source: ifuruisland.com
Premium All Inclusive covers a selection of menus and drinks; Kai charges $45 per person, plus 10% service and 17% tax. Source: ifuruisland.com

Mask, fins, kayaks and paddleboards are lent free of charge; boat excursions and motorised water sports are charged separately, with 10% service and 17% tax added to the price. Source: 153 Google reviews read, 16 October 2023 to 4 October 2026
The flight from Malé is charged apart from the room: US$350 return per adult by domestic flight, US$530 by seaplane, plus 10% service and 17% tax (the resort’s terms). The seaplane needs an international arrival before 3pm and a departure after 9am. 3 guests, between December 2024 and January 2026, describe an early flight home: a check-out at about 4:30am, or the 6am flight off the island.
Premium All Inclusive covers set menus and a list of drinks; the rest goes on the bill (the Waterfront, Hubba Hubba). Kai’s teppanyaki is US$45 a person plus 10% service and 17% tax, and the Spoil Yourself list is charged separately. A massage, a boat trip and the flights from Malé are extras too. The resort publishes no table of the dinners a stay allows at each restaurant; guests reserve the Waterfront and Palm Grill through their “buddy”, the member of staff assigned to them on arrival.
The reef lies offshore, and the Google reviews do not agree about it. 3, between December 2024 and September 2026, put it up to 250 metres from the beach, out of a swimmer’s reach in strong wind or current; 4, between March and November 2025, describe damaged coral close to shore. 5 others, between October 2025 and March 2026, tell of rich snorkelling from the beach, with sharks, rays and turtles. The resort has a dive centre, watersports and boat excursions; nobody can book a turtle or a manta in advance.
3 of the 10 names on the resort’s rooms page are groups of the other 7: the Family 4 Bedroom Nest and the 20 and 32 Bedroom Island Reserves are Sky and Beach rooms booked as one (the resort’s overview, the Sky Suite page). The 32 Bedroom Island Reserve does have 32 bedrooms, with welcome amenities in all 32 suites, according to its official page, read on 15 October 2026. The room pages print neither floor areas nor how many rooms there are of each kind.
3 charges are added to the bill: 10% service, 17% tourism tax and a Green Tax of US$12 per person per night, as the resort’s terms give them. The terms make no exception from the Green Tax for infants. The spa menu carries no date; the tax on treatments is the 17% of the current terms, the rate set for tourism since 1 July 2025 (MIRA, read on 15 October 2026).

The domestic flight lands on Ifuru’s own airstrip; the seaplane comes down on the water and a speedboat brings you in, guests wrote between February 2024 and April 2025.
| Transfer | 2 ways in from Malé, priced in the resort’s terms: the domestic flight at US$350 return per adult and US$175 for a child of 2 to 11, the seaplane at US$530 and US$320 for a child under 12, plus 10% service and 17% tax. The seaplane needs an international arrival before 3pm and a departure after 9am. One-way fares, luggage and cancellation are in the transfer question below. |

| Location | Ifuru is in Raa Atoll and shares its island with the airstrip. The resort’s site gives 30 minutes for the seaplane, waits not counted, and no time for the domestic flight: guests timed that at 40 minutes (November 2025) and up to 70 with a stop on the way (February 2026). 5 of them, between January 2025 and July 2026, describe a wait in Malé for it, of 3 to 5 hours where they give a figure. |
| A night for 2, on Google | On Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026 for 2 adults and one night: US$314 for 7 October 2026, US$359 for 15 November 2026 and US$708 for 24 December 2026. Google names neither the room nor the meals, and the flights from Malé are extra. |
Fares, times and prices read on 6 October 2026; the guests’ timings carry their own dates.

On 6 October 2026 Google showed 4.4 out of 5 from 203 ratings. We read the 153 Google reviews with text, written between 16 October 2023 and 4 October 2026. The person guests name most is their “buddy”, the member of staff assigned to each guest on arrival, who books restaurants and excursions, answers on WhatsApp and stays the point of contact throughout. After the buddy come housekeeping twice a day, the beach at sunset and, among the restaurants, the Waterfront. The reviews also show where Premium All Inclusive stops, from the supplement at Kai to the excursions, and that there is music by the pool: anyone who wants only quiet will be happier on another island.

2 stays described on Google, on 27 September and 4 October 2026.
On 4 October 2026 a guest writing in German called the stay a dream holiday: the villa was immaculate every day, inside and out, and the staff who helped are thanked by name.
On 27 September 2026 a couple described renewing their wedding vows. Their host planned each boat trip for the day with the best weather. From a beach villa with a pool, an outdoor bathroom and a free-standing bath, they did not miss a villa over the water. The massages and the blessing ceremony came with the package they had booked.
Social House serves buffets at breakfast and lunch and an à la carte set menu at dinner. The Waterfront serves what the resort calls New World cooking, Palm Grill grilled dishes and Pool Side Pizza pizza. Hubba Hubba is the bar by the pool, with its music and social life. Kai, the Japanese teppanyaki counter, costs US$45 a person plus 10% service and 17% tax, for Premium All Inclusive guests too.
Premium All Inclusive covers set menus and listed drinks; a dish or a bottle outside them is charged. Guests book the Waterfront, the table they name most, and Palm Grill through their buddy; one, in March 2025, found the Waterfront always full.
Xanadu has 8 treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, a plunge pool, outdoor showers, an ice bath and a salon. Its menu runs to massages, facials, Ayurvedic rituals and treatments for children. The sauna, the steam room and the plunge pool come with particular packages; a room rate alone does not open them.
On Google Hotels, read on 6 October 2026 for 2 adults and one night, the figure was US$314 for 7 October 2026, US$359 for 15 November 2026 and US$708 for 24 December 2026. Google names neither the room nor the meals, leaves out both legs of the flight from Malé and gives no sign of whether taxes and fees are inside. These are single nights as the calendar showed them, neither the season’s lowest nor a room held for you; sellers’ offers and the resort’s advertised discounts are other prices again.
A beach resort in Raa Atoll on an island with its own airstrip: the domestic flight from Malé lands where you are staying (terms). The homepage gives 147 suites and villas, sold under 10 names: 7 categories of room and 3 groups of those rooms booked together, the Family 4 Bedroom Nest and the 20 and 32 Bedroom Island Reserves, which add nothing to the 147 (press page). Nothing here stands over the water, guests note (June and October 2024).
On Google, 4.4 out of 5 from 203 ratings on 6 October 2026; we read the 153 reviews with text, from 16 October 2023 to 4 October 2026. The “buddy” comes first: the member of staff assigned to each guest on arrival, who books restaurants and excursions and stays the point of contact throughout. Then housekeeping twice a day, the beach at sunset and, among the restaurants, the Waterfront. Premium All Inclusive leaves some things out, from the supplement at Kai to the excursions, and there is music by the pool: anyone who wants only quiet will be happier elsewhere.
Yes, on the beach: guests describe ceremonies and renewals of vows from February 2024 to September 2026. The resort’s wedding page offers the ceremony as a benefit of at least 7 Premium All Inclusive nights between 1 May and 30 September 2026; that window had closed when we read it on 6 October, and the homepage still carries the May to September 2025 edition. For later dates the page gives no price and makes no such offer, and it says nothing on the ceremony’s legal force.
One for everybody and private ones in 2 categories. The shared pool has Hubba Hubba beside it, the bar with the music (restaurants and bars, Hubba Hubba). A private pool comes with the Sunset Beach Villa with Pool and the Sunset Two Bedroom Villa with Pool; no other category has one in its name. The resort gives neither the size of the shared pool nor whether it is heated.
Treatments at Xanadu are paid for. The menu lists them one by one and in packages, puts the sauna or steam room and the plunge pool inside certain packages, and adds a charge per guest for a massage in the villa. Xanadu shows no day pass and no terms for visitors from outside the resort, and nothing the resort publishes puts spa time inside Premium All Inclusive.
A Sky Suite has a balcony or terrace; a Beach Suite or a Beach Villa has the beach at the door. The family versions join rooms together, and the Two Bedroom Villa with Pool has 2 bedrooms, a living room and a pool (the resort’s overview, the Sky Suite page). For quiet, a guest in December 2025 recommends the detached beach villas, which stand a little apart.
The 4, 20 and 32 bedroom formats are those same rooms booked together; the page for the 32 describes “five buildings of four”, which makes 20. The room pages print neither floor areas nor the number of rooms in each category.
In the last months of 2023. The resort’s press page carries the opening announcement, dated 21 September 2023, and a December 2025 article celebrating the second anniversary on 1 December. The 2 point to different days, and the resort names no single date for its first guests. It publishes no calendar of annual closures.
In Raa Atoll, on an island with its own airstrip (terms). You arrive by domestic flight or by seaplane: the site gives 30 minutes for the seaplane, waits not counted, and no time for the domestic flight, which guests put at 40 to 70 minutes (November 2025, February 2026).
Guests from February 2024 to April 2026 count 3 or 4 flights a day at most and hardly hear them; one, in November 2024, found the airstrip very noisy. The louder neighbour is the music from Hubba Hubba, until 11pm or midnight by one account of November 2025. Nobody has measured noise room by room.
The resort’s festive terms cover 24 December to 10 January (terms): a 30% non-refundable deposit within 14 days, and the balance 60 days before arrival. The resort has published neither the price nor the menu of a compulsory dinner on 31 December 2026, and nothing says a gala dinner is part of the festive rate.
No. Ifuru is reached by domestic flight or seaplane from Velana airport in Malé; the resort’s terms cover those flights and the journey details it collects, and mention no car park, no price for one and no reserved space at Velana.
From a Beach Suite or Villa you walk out onto the sand; the Sky Suites are on the upper floor (the resort’s overview). The beach runs for 1 km, a visitor wrote after one night there in February 2024. A guest who stayed in July and August, writing in September 2026, places the beach on the south-west side and met strong wind there; another, in July 2026, found waves that made swimming hard. The way in is sand by the beach bar and broken coral and rock in front of some villas: 4 guests between March 2025 and July 2026 advise water shoes. The dive centre and the watersports take you further out.
No. The activities the resort lists are on and under the water, diving first among them, with island life by the pool. It lists no golf course and no package with green fees or transfers to one.
The resort’s direct offer advertises up to 60% off, for new bookings made on its website. An existing reservation cannot be cancelled and rebooked into it; it does not combine with other added values and has no cash value. Full payment is due 21 days ahead, and cancellation is free until then. The offer gives no closing date, stay dates, minimum nights or later penalties. The discount applies to the resort’s own rate, which the Google prices above do not show, and the return flight from Malé is priced separately.
The gym is open 24 hours (activities). Xanadu publishes no opening times. The practitioner it announced as visiting from 28 January to 30 March 2026 has finished that stay, so those consultations are over.
The resort gives no temperature, no heating and no hours for the shared pool or for the private ones (restaurants and bars, the Sky Suite page). Xanadu has an ice bath and a plunge pool, and gives a temperature for neither.
Bars, the pool, Xanadu, a gym, watersports, diving and Coconut Kids Club, whose programme runs from 9am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Some activities are booked ahead or paid for, and they change with the weather and with how many people sign up.
The Xanadu menu lists Thai, deep muscular, aromatherapy and hot-stone massages, facials and Ayurvedic rituals. Its children’s menu is for ages 4 to 10 and has nothing to do with the kids’ club. Prices carry 10% service and 17% tax: the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority has set tourism GST at 17% since 1 July 2025, the rate the resort’s terms apply, read on 15 October 2026 (Xanadu).
2 ways in from Malé, priced in the resort’s terms. The domestic flight costs US$350 return from age 12 and US$175 for children of 2 to 11; the seaplane US$530 per adult and US$320 under 12. One way is half, an infant under 2 on a lap flies free, and 10% service and 17% tax are added. The seaplane depends on weather and daylight: international arrival before 3pm, departure after 9am. Send your flight details 7 days ahead. The allowance is 20 kg plus 5 kg, infants excepted, and excess is US$5 a kilo plus 17%. A transfer cancelled within 24 hours, or missed, is charged at 100%.
One guest adds that an international flight home before 1pm means the 6am flight off the island (April 2025).
From some stretches of beach and on calm days, by the guests’ accounts: 3 put the reef up to 250 metres out, beyond a swimmer in strong wind or current, and 5 snorkelled from the beach among sharks, rays and turtles (reviews of December 2024 to September 2026). A visitor who spent a night there in February 2024 describes one channel out to the reef, a 5-minute swim from the dive centre.
Masks and fins are lent free, 4 guests wrote between February and April 2026. The dive centre and the boat trips are paid for, and nobody can promise a turtle or a manta.
Premium All Inclusive covers set menus and a list of drinks (the Waterfront, Hubba Hubba); 6 guests between January 2025 and April 2026 add that the minibar is refilled every day, 3 of them that it costs nothing. Outside the plan are Kai’s teppanyaki, at US$45 a person plus 10% service and 17% tax, and everything on the Spoil Yourself list; so are a bottle off the list, a massage, a boat trip and the flights from Malé. The resort publishes no table of the stay or the booking each restaurant and activity requires.
Coconut Kids Club is for ages 3 to 12, as the resort’s current offer describes it; the spa’s children’s menu is for ages 4 to 10. A child under 12 sharing a bed with 2 adults costs US$120 a night plus 10% service charge and 17% GST, US$180 from 24 December to 10 January; a cot is on request (terms). A child of 2 to 11 pays US$175 return on the domestic flight and a child under 12 US$320 on the seaplane; an infant under 2 on a lap flies free.
2 guests, in April and July 2025, found the coral and rock at the water’s edge awkward with small children.
A 10% service charge, 17% tourism tax and a Green Tax of US$12 per person per night (terms). The terms make no exception from the Green Tax for infants. The spa menu carries no date; the tax on treatments is the same 17%, set for tourism since 1 July 2025 (MIRA, read on 15 October 2026). Google’s calendar prices give no sign of whether any of this is already in them.

Brennia Kottefaru suits guests choosing between garden, beach and water, with villas for 2 and residences for a larger family. The variety needs careful reading: counts and areas have discrepancies, and Manta and Sunset Grill require reservations and supplements.

Meyyafushi Maldives suits families and couples seeking a private pool, overwater padel and several restaurants during a Premium All Inclusive stay. Bubble, the underwater restaurant, and Sukun, the teppanyaki, cost extra and need booking; the resort is new, the release of 30 April 2026 announces it officially open, and the earliest reviews describe its opening months.

Safari Island Maldives suits guests seeking traditional bungalows, diving and a sea-centred holiday, with 3 choices between beach and lagoon. Space and facilities are simpler than a large pool villa, and private boats, meal plans and taxes need distinct terms.

Constance Halaveli suits couples and families seeking a private-pool villa between garden and jetty in North Ari. Choose shore or overwater terrace, allowing separately for transfers and board. Google Hotels, read on 5 October 2026 for 2 adults, showed Trip at US$1,158 per night for 16–19 November 2026 including taxes and fees. It displayed free cancellation until 16 October; supplier terms remain unverified.
