Amingiri suits families who want children’s activities alongside a spa and hammam, with the lowest seller on Google showing one night for 2 adults from $934. Couples seeking a holiday centred entirely on adult spaces should weigh that family focus.

  1. The November price range

The nights from 12 to 18 November 2026 ranged from $934 to $1,003 in the calendar read on 12 October 2026. The dearest night shown, 1 January 2027, was $2,551.

  2. Allow for festive dinners

For stays including 24 December 2026, allow $400 per adult for the compulsory Christmas Eve dinner; including 31 December, $600 per adult for the gala. Both supplements exclude applicable taxes and service charges.

  3. A rooftop for teenagers

For children aged 12 and over, Re:Fuel is a rooftop lounge reserved for teenagers. It gives older children a place of their own while younger ones have activities at the Kids Club.

What Amingiri is

Hilton Maldives Amingiri opened on 30 June 2022 on an island in North Malé Atoll, 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana. All 109 villas, on the beach or above the lagoon, have a pool: they run from the 138 m² One Bedroom Beach Pool Villa to the 338 m² Two Bedroom Overwater Pool Villa, and apart from them stands The Residence, 6 bedrooms in a cove with its own jetty.

Children are at the heart of it. The Krakengiri Kids Club has a pool and a splash park, teenagers get a rooftop lounge of their own, and under-sixes travel free on the transfer. In the 500 most recent Google reviews, 89% of guests who mention service praise it, and the Guest Experience Makers who look after each stay are named again and again.

The bill grows with everything around the villa. The shared speedboat costs $300 a person plus tax, the 31 December dinner is compulsory, and in 2026 several guests found that half and full board leave out drinks, water included. Malé and the work on nearby islands are visible from the shore: anyone after a deserted atoll should go further out.

Amingiri is 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana airport, with no seaplane to catch: 109 villas, each with its own pool, a big kids’ club and a spa with a hammam.

The scores come from 500 Google reviews with text, left from 4 July 2023 to 30 September 2026. The other hotels are the ones weighed for a stay near Malé: for each we read its latest 500 Google reviews with text, or all of them where there are fewer, as of 6 October 2026. The score is the average of what they say, from 0 if they speak of it very badly to 10 if they speak of it very well. Where only a few mention something, the score stays close to the guide’s average: a handful of voices does not make a reputation.

Good to know before you book

  • Drinks are extra on the meal plans. That includes water, as several guests on half or full board wrote between May and August 2026. The resort’s drinks packages cost $110 a person a day with alcohol and $75 without, plus tax and service.

  • The speedboat is the resort’s and it is charged: the website asks $300 a person return, $150 for ages 6 to 11, plus tax and service, and no other transport is allowed. Booking.com gives $386 an adult. A private boat costs $1,500 each way for up to 8 on the website, $3,860 on Booking.com.

  • Amingiri is close to Malé, and you can see it. Between July and September 2026, 4 Google reviews mention the capital on the horizon or building sites on the surrounding islands, visible from some villas. 6, between March 2024 and July 2026, describe the island as man-made, and 5, between December 2023 and September 2026, little coral and few fish a swim from the shore; in summer 2026, 2 others describe reef sharks, rays and reef metres from the water villas.

  • Children under 6 stay free, ages 6 to 11 get 50% off, and from 12 they pay as adults. The resort recommends beach villas for families; anyone booking a water villa with children signs a waiver.

  • On 31 December the gala dinner is compulsory: $600 an adult on the website, half price under 12, free under 5. Booking.com adds a compulsory dinner on 24 December too, $400 an adult, before tax and service.

Sharks from the breakfast table

In July 2026 a family feared a man-made island with little wildlife, then watched reef sharks, a ray and shoals of fish from their table at Habitat. With the sea rough they took the paid shark snorkelling trip by boat; the building work on nearby islands did not bother them.

Questions before you go

What people ask before booking Hilton Maldives Amingiri, answered from sources read between 3 and 6 October 2026.

What kind of resort is Hilton Maldives Amingiri?

A 5-star resort of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, its first in the Maldives, on its own island in North Malé Atoll. Hilton’s opening release dates it to 30 June 2022 and counts 109 beach and overwater villas, each with a pool; it is owned by Amingiri Holdings and managed by Hilton. Expedia lists 108 rooms. The 6-bedroom Residence was announced for November 2022. It is the group’s fourth resort in the country, with Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi, Conrad Rangali Island and SAii Lagoon.

Which villas are there and how big are they?

6 types, all with a private pool, according to the villas page. On the beach: the One Bedroom Beach Pool Villa, 138 m² for up to 3; the One Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa, 138 m² with a sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 children; the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villa, 306 m² for up to 6. Over the water, with direct access to the ocean: the One Bedroom Overwater Pool Villa, 154 m²; the One Bedroom Overwater Suite with Pool, 181 m² with a living room; the Two Bedroom Overwater Pool Villa, 338 m² for up to 6. All have a king bed, a separate bath and shower, an espresso machine and an outdoor shower.

The Residence has 6 bedrooms for 12 guests, 2 suites with pools, a cinema, a music lounge, a kids’ club and a private spa; its size is not published. The website steers families towards the beach villas.

Where is it, and how quiet is the island?

On Amingiri island in North Malé Atoll, 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana airport. The Google listing’s address, Malé 08540, is the postal one; the resort has its own island, about 1.4 km from Kodhipparu on Google’s coordinates.

The capital is close and in view: in 2026 some guests wrote of Malé on the horizon and of building sites on the islands around, visible from some villas, though in July one found them unobtrusive. A wooden walkway links the water villas, and the buggies use it too. Every villa comes with bicycles for getting about.

How do you get there from Malé, and what does the speedboat cost?

By the resort’s speedboat, 20 minutes from Velana airport, round the clock: on arrival a member of staff takes guests to the jetty. The Location page asks $300 an adult for the shared return transfer, $150 for ages 6 to 11 and nothing up to 5; a private boat costs $1,500 each way for up to 8 and $2,300 for up to 14. These prices exclude tax and service, and no other transport is allowed.

Booking.com, read on 3 October 2026, gives $386 an adult and $193 a child for the shared boat in 2026, and $3,860 each way for a private one, more than double the website. The Maldivian Bliss and Amingiri Discovery offers take money off the shared boat from 3 and 4 nights.

Can you drive there or park?

No: it is an island, and the resort policies mark every kind of parking as unavailable. The home page FAQ explains that the resort is reached only on its own speedboats.

How do you get into the sea?

From the water villas by steps down into the lagoon; from the beach villas straight onto the sand, as the villas page and the fact sheet describe. The sea changes from one side to the other, though: between August and September 2026, 3 Google reviews describe a beach that is stony or hard to swim from, in one case on the open-sea side, which takes the waves; anyone who wants to swim off the sand should ask which side the villa faces before booking. Google lists a lifeguard.

Is there a reef you can swim to?

In part. The website promises eagle rays and reef fish in the resort’s lagoon, and its dive centre goes to more than 30 sites in the atoll. It depends where you are on the island: in August 2026 a couple described fine reefs metres from the water villas, and in July a family watched reef sharks and rays from the restaurant; others, in 2025 and 2026, describe a man-made island whose reef is less rich than in other atolls. Shark snorkelling is a paid boat trip.

What pools are there?

Every villa has its own. Shared by all are the main pool, with a shallow children’s pool attached, and the kids’ club pool with its mini splash park, according to the activities page. Aura Pool Bar sits by the main pool. The Residence has pools in its 2 master suites and a pool beside the sunken fire-pit lounge.

Are the pools heated, and when are they open?

The Aura pool opens from 10am to 6pm, according to the dining page; villa pools are there whenever their guests want them. No official source mentions heating or water temperature. The Aura Pool Bar & Cocktail Lab, by the pool, serves from 10am.

Where do you eat, and until when?

In 8 restaurants and lounges, according to the dining page. Habitat serves breakfast from 7am to 10.30am and dinner from 6pm to 10pm, alternating à la carte and themed buffets, and is closed at lunch. Origin, Italian over the water, serves dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm; Beach Shack, on the sand, lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm. Aura Pool Bar & Cocktail Lab runs from 10am to 11.30pm and on some evenings turns into an Asian restaurant; Eden, the overwater champagne and gin bar, is adults-only from 5.30pm to 11.30pm. Sip Tea Lounge, Skye and Re:Fuel complete the list.

Hilton’s 2022 release counted 6 restaurants, and Expedia still says 6. Dinners must be booked: in 2026 more than one guest describes times to fix in advance, and on busy nights service at the table takes longer.

Which meal plans are there, and what do they include?

The website publishes no meal-plan price list; the plans come with its offers. Maldivian Bliss, from 3 nights until 20 December 2026, adds half board free; Amingiri Discovery, from 4 nights, covers breakfast, lunch and dinner with a selection of drinks. Google and Expedia also list all-inclusive rates.

Half and full board leave out drinks, water included, as many 2026 reviews note; on half board, more than one guest wrote in August 2026, dinner is in one restaurant only. The Tropical packages cost $110 a person a day with alcohol and $75 without, plus tax and service.

What is the spa like?

Amingiri Spa & Hammam offers hammam rituals modelled on Turkish baths, massages, wraps, facials with acupressure and baths to book in your villa, plus a salon and grooming. The home page mentions the hammam room and the sauna; in May 2025 a guest wrote that the gym has a steam room and sauna free to use, and in June 2026 another watched the sea through the glass beneath the massage bed. The gym and yoga pavilion are open around the clock, and the Skye Deck offers express 30-minute treatments. Neither the spa’s size nor its number of rooms is published.

Is the spa included or extra, and can non-residents use it?

Treatments are paid for. The honeymoon and anniversary offer gives $120 net of spa credit a person from 4 nights, and a 60-minute massage for 2 from 7 nights. The gym’s sauna and steam room, according to a guest in May 2025, are free for those staying.

No resort page publishes a day pass for non-residents, and the only way across is on the resort’s own boats.

What are the spa’s opening hours?

The spa page does not publish treatment hours; it gives those of the gym and the yoga pavilion, open around the clock. In-villa baths must be booked in advance. Expedia says the spa opens every day.

Which treatments are offered, and at what price?

Hammam rituals, signature massages, wraps, facials with 16-point acupressure, ritual baths in the villa, the salon and grooming, according to the spa page; there is also a sleep menu of massage and guided meditation in the villa. No price list is published. Guests in 2025 and 2026 often single out the massages.

Is it good for children?

Yes, it is built around families. The Krakengiri Kids Club, which the website calls one of the largest in the Maldives, has a pool, the mini splash park and a daily programme; teenagers have Re:Fuel, a rooftop lounge with its own entrance, and the spa runs Young Zen for ages 5 to 18. Cots and babysitting are available, the latter at a charge according to Expedia.

Under the family policy, children under 6 stay free, ages 6 to 11 get 50% off and from 12 they pay as adults. The resort recommends beach villas: booking a water villa with children means signing a waiver. Check-in requires an adult of at least 18.

What is on the island besides the villas?

According to the website: a seaside padel court, a multi-purpose court for tennis, badminton, volleyball and basketball, a futsal pitch, the 24-hour gym, the yoga pavilion, the dive and water sports centre, the art studio, the photo studio, a boutique and a jewellery shop. Wi-Fi is free, the island is smoke-free and the accessible rooms have doorways 32 inches wide. In August 2026 a guest wrote that padel and tennis are charged.

Which offers are there?

Read on 6 October 2026 on the offers page: Maldivian Bliss, from 3 nights until 20 December 2026, with half board free and money off the speedboat; Amingiri Discovery, from 4 nights, with 3 meals a day, a selection of drinks and money off the speedboat; then Hilton Honors advance-purchase rates, up to 17% off, and rates for seniors and AAA members. Hilton Honors rates exclude taxes and fees.

Can you marry at Hilton Maldives Amingiri?

The website offers a renewal of vows: a barefoot ceremony on the beach, with an open-bar cocktail reception, a gin and tonic cart and after-dinner drinks, quoted on request from the dining page. The pages read on 6 October 2026 publish no wedding packages or prices. For couples within 8 months of their wedding, the honeymoon offer gives Champagne, fruit, a decorated bed and $120 of spa credit a person from 4 nights.

Is there a New Year’s Eve dinner?

Yes, and it is compulsory. The website warns that the gala dinner on 31 December is charged at $600 an adult, with 50% off under 12 and free under 5. Booking.com, read on 3 October 2026, confirms $600 an adult and $300 a child, and adds the compulsory Christmas Eve dinner at $400 an adult and $200 a child, before tax and service; Expedia gives them with tax, $772.20 and $514.80.

In late September 2026 the resort announced its festive brochure on Instagram; the evenings’ programme is not on the website pages read on 6 October 2026.

Can you play golf?

No: the official pages list no course or golf package. The island has padel, tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball and futsal, according to the activities page.

When is it open, and when is the best time to go?

All year: the website announces no closures, and on Google Hotels, read on 3 October 2026, 119 of 120 nights from 4 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 had a price, the only gap being 30 December. The resort opened on 30 June 2022.

The dearest nights are the festive ones, from 21 December to 9 January. In August 2026 a first-time visitor described almost unbroken sunshine in the wet season.

How much does a night cost?

Google Hotels, read on 3 October 2026, for 2 adults and one night: $974 on 7 October 2026, $1,193 on 16 November, $1,185 on 1 December, $1,697 on 24 December, $2,473 on 29 December and $1,465 on 11 January 2027. There was no price for 30 December.

Taxes and fees are already in these figures: for 4 October the Booking.com link on the same listing carried a total of $1,439.69, of which $339.69 was tax and charges, matching the $1,440 shown. The calendar names no villa or meal plan; the speedboat, drinks and the compulsory dinners of 24 and 31 December are extra.

What do the reviews say?

On 3 October 2026 Google showed 4.8/5 from 773 ratings, Tripadvisor 4.9/5 from 2,208, with a 2026 Travellers’ Choice award and seventh place among 178 hotels in North Malé Atoll, Booking.com 9.3/10 from 242 and Expedia 9.6/10 from 39. In the 500 most recent Google reviews, service pleases 89% of those who mention it, the villas 91% and the location 87%; what guests write about the bill is the drinks, which the meal plans leave out, and the extras that add to the rate.

Which taxes and charges are added?

The website’s rates include a 10% service charge and exclude taxes and government charges, as the villas page states; the speedboat, the drinks packages and the compulsory festive dinners are quoted before tax and service. The resort does not publish the tax rate. Google Hotels’ prices for the Maldives market, by contrast, already include taxes and fees. Payment is in US dollars, by American Express, UnionPay, Diners, JCB, Mastercard or Visa.

When can you check in and out?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by noon, according to the resort policies. A late check-out costs half a day until 5pm and a full day after; leaving early because of bad weather still means paying for the nights booked. Guests with an evening flight leave the villa at midday unless they pay for the late check-out.
