Write in your guests' languages
Lumina writes each language the way people in your hotel's country write it, and any other language you ask for.
A reader notices when a hotel writes their language the way someone elsewhere does: colour or color, vacances or vacance, a date written the wrong way round. Lumina writes each language as your hotel's country writes it, without you asking.
In Lumina Choose the language in the creation tool, in Atelier's Languages menu, or say it in your request.

Your hotel's languages
Each hotel has its own list: usually the country's language, English, and the language its guests write their reviews in most often. Where a country has several languages, such as Switzerland, Belgium or Canada, Lumina reads your website to see which one the hotel uses.
Regional variants, automatically
Lumina writes these variants for hotels in these countries. Everywhere else, English is British English.
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| United States | American English. |
| Canada | Canadian English and Canadian French. |
| Australia and New Zealand | Australian and New Zealand English. |
| Brazil | Brazilian Portuguese. |
| Mexico | Mexican Spanish. |
Ask for another language
The language menus list your hotel's languages. For any other language, say it in your request or brief, for example write it in German, and the piece keeps that language. Lumina writes languages read from left to right; Arabic, Hebrew and other right-to-left languages are not available yet.
Language and market are separate
Language decides the words. Traveller market describes who you are writing to. You can write in English for guests travelling from Germany, for example. A page of your website that already exists is rewritten in its own language.
Common questions
Can I get Canadian French for a hotel in Quebec?
Yes. For a hotel in Canada, French is written as Canadian French and English as Canadian English, without any setting.
Our hotel is in Switzerland. Which language will Lumina use?
The one your website uses as its own, for example Italian for a hotel in Ticino. English and your guests' most common language are offered too.
Can Lumina write Arabic or Hebrew?
Not yet. Lumina writes languages read from left to right. Right-to-left languages are not available today.
